      • Cross Layer Optimization Routing Algorithm for Wireless AD HOC

        Throughput maximization is one of the main challenges in ad hoc networks, where the availability of local spectrum resources may change from time to time and hop by hop. For this reason, a cross-layer opportunistic routing algorithm for ad hoc networks is proposed, which is called the multi channel (MCPEF) algorithm. Through local control actions, MCPEF aims to maximize the network throughput by performing joint routing, scheduling, and transmit power control. Specifically, the algorithm dynamically allocates spectrum resources to maximize the capacity of links without generating harmful interference to other users, while guaranteeing bounds bit error rate (BER) for the receiver. In addition, the algorithm aims to maximize the weighted sum of differential backlogs, and which can stabilize the system by giving priority to higher capacity links with a high differential backlog. The proposed algorithm is distributed, computationally efficient, and it has bounded BER guarantees. MCPEF is shown through numerical model-based evaluation and discrete-event packet-level simulations to outperform baseline solutions; it will obtain a high throughput, low delay, and fair bandwidth allocation.

      • MIMO Radar Waveform Design with Prior Information of Targets in the Presence of Signal-Dependent Noise

        Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar waveforms design with specified properties has a number of superiority over its phased-array counterpart, such as clutter suppression and interference mitigation. In this paper, we consider the problem of waveform optimization with prior information on targets of interest to improve the parameter estimation performance of MIMO radar in the presence of signal-dependent noise, which is based on the constrained Cramer-Rao bound (CRB). The waveform covariance matrix (WCM) is designed to minimize the trace of the constrained CRB such that the parameter estimation performance can be improved. In order to solve the resultant nonlinear optimization problem, a novel diagonal loading (DL) based method is proposed to relax this optimization issue as a semidefinite programming (SDP) one, which can be solved very efficiently. Following that, an optimal solution to the initial issue can be obtained via the least squares (LS) fitting of the solution acquired by the relaxed one. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by numerical examples, as compared to the uncorrelated waveforms.

      • NCRA: An Opportunistic Networks Routing Algorithm based on Network Coding

        Opportunistic network realizes the communication between nodes by "storage-carry-forward" mode, the traditional routing algorithms can not be applied to the opportunistic network, to address the problems in opportunistic networks that nodes employing routing algorithms based on epidemic mechanism can't sense their neighboring nodes timely and many redundant data packets permeate through the network. This article proposes network routing algorithm based on an efficient opportunistic network. The algorithm is based on network coding method to solve routing problems, compared with existing routing method. NCRA method can handle dynamic route to improve the transmission success rate and reduce the transmission delay, reduce the routing overhead and short the buffer time, decrease the hops of overall opportunistic network.

        Reduction of Electromagnetic Vibration and Noise in Permanent Magnet Motor for EVs by Optimizing Design of Rotor Based on GPR‑PSO Model

        Radial electromagnetic force of motor causes electromagnetic vibration and noise. Reasonable improvement of the rotor structure can efectively reduce the radial electromagnetic force and weaken the electromagnetic vibration and noise. Based on a permanent magnet synchronous motor for EVs, this paper proposes an improved rotor structure with auxiliary fux barriers to reduce the radial electromagnetic force, thereby weakening the electromagnetic vibration and noise. The sample data sets of the relationship among the parameters of the improved rotor structure, the radial electromagnetic force and the output torque of the motor are established by the orthogonal method. Gaussian process regression models are used to ft the data sample sets. Then the regression functions are used as ftness function and constraint function for particle swarm optimization. Thus the optimal rotor structure parameters are gotten. The radial electromagnetic forces of motor before and after improvement are simulated. Then the vibration and noise characteristics are analyzed and compared. The results show that the improved structure can reduce the vibration and noise efectively on the premise of ensuring the electromagnetic performance. The modal analysis and strength check are carried out to ensure the rationality of the improvement. The validity of the simulation results is verifed by experiments.

        Stability Analysis of 3D Tunnel Face of Shallow Rectangular Shield Tunnel

        In recent years, an increasing number of rectangular excavation sections have appeared in pipe-jacking shield tunnel projects. In previous studies, calculating the stability of a tunnel face in a noncircular shield tunnel usually required a circular section. It is carried out according to the principle of equivalent areas. Although this method makes it easy to calculate the stability, deviation still occurs. To solve this issue, the rectangular shield tunnel is used as the research object. Spatial discretization technology is used to extend the rotational failure mechanism of 3D rigid blocks to the tunnel face of rectangular tunnels. Moreover, it is accomplished under the theoretical background of the upper bound method. The MATLAB calculation results were compared with FLAC3D, and the process proved to have sufficient accuracy and a high efficiency. Then, the influences of the failure modes and limit support pressure by dimensionless parameters are studied. The results show that the parameters that have a great impact on the failure region and stability of the tunnel face are H/D, C/D, and the internal friction angle ϕ, and the parameters that have little influence on them are σs/c and γD/c. Finally, a dimensionlessparameter design chart that has a limit support pressure with a rectangular tunnel and a single homogeneous frictional soil layer is drawn and fitted using a ternary quadratic polynomial. Furthermore, it can be used for preliminary design.

        Honokiol Suppresses Renal Cancer Cells' Metastasis via Dual-Blocking Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition and Cancer Stem Cell Properties through Modulating miR-141/ZEB2 Signaling

        Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is associated with a high frequency of metastasis and only few therapies substantially prolong survival. Honokiol, isolated from Magnolia spp. bark, has been shown to exhibit pleiotropic anticancer effects in many cancer types. However, whether honokiol could suppress RCC metastasis has not been fully elucidated. In the present study, we found that honokiol suppressed renal cancer cells' metastasis via dual-blocking epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cancer stem cell (CSC) properties. In addition, honokiol inhibited tumor growth in vivo. It was found that honokiol could upregulate miR-141, which targeted ZEB2 and modulated ZEB2 expression. Honokiol reversed EMT and suppressed CSC properties partly through the miR-141/ZEB2 axis. Our study suggested that honokiol may be a suitable therapeutic strategy for RCC treatment.

        A Comparable Study on the Microwave Absorption Properties of Al/Fe/Co Doped OMC/Paraffin Wax Composites

        Al/Fe/Co doped ordered mesoporous carbon (OMC) composites have been synthesized by a facile method, and the influence of dopant on the electromagnetic (EM) and microwave absorption properties was investigated in the frequency range of 2–18 GHz. Compared with Fe/Co– OMC composites, the Al–OMC nanocomposite played a great role in adjusting values and frequency dependence of complex permittivity, which gives rise to significant improved microwave absorption and reduced thickness of the corresponding paraffin wax composites. Reflection loss (RL) values less than -5 dB and -10 dB were obtained in the frequency range of 9.2–18 GHz and 10.7–14.7 GHz with a single thickness of 2.00 mm, respectively. Such enhanced EM wave absorption property of the Al–OMC/paraffin wax composite was ascribed to its superior impedance matching characteristic. Thin thickness, broadband absorption microwave absorbers with Al doped OMC nanocomposites were obtained.

      • Manual Acupuncture at PC6 Ameliorates Acute Restraint Stress-Induced Anxiety in Rats by Normalizing Amygdaloid Noradrenergic Response

        <P>Acupuncture improves ethanol withdrawal-induced anxiety in rats in an acupoint-dependent manner. Thus, the present study investigated the effects of acupuncture on acute restraint stress- (ARS-) induced anxiety. Male rats were exposed to ARS for 3 h followed by acupuncture at either PC6 (Neiguan), HT7 (Shenmen), or a nonacupoint (tail) once a day for three consecutive days. Five minutes after the third acupuncture treatment, anxiety-like behavior was evaluated in an elevated plus maze (EPM). Additionally, plasma corticosterone (CORT) levels were measured by radioimmunoassay and the concentrations of norepinephrine (NE) and 3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-phenylglycol (MHPG) in the central nucleus of the amygdala (CeA) were determined using high-performance liquid chromatography. Acupuncture at PC6, but not HT7 or a nonacupoint, attenuated anxiety-like behavior, but this attenuation was abolished by a postacupunctural intra-CeA infusion of NE. Acupuncture at PC6 also reduced the oversecretion of plasma CORT and inhibited increases in amygdaloid NE and MHPG induced by ARS. Further, Western blot analyses and real-time polymerase chain reaction assays revealed that acupuncture at PC6 prevented ARS-induced enhancements in the protein and mRNA expressions of tyrosine hydroxylase in the CeA. These results suggest that acupuncture performed specifically at acupoint PC6 reduces ARS-induced anxiety-like behavior by dampening amygdaloid noradrenergic responses.</P>

        Granularity and Laxative Effect of Ultrafine Powder of Dendrobium officinale

        Constipation is a common disorder that is a significant source of morbidity among people around the world ranging from 2% to 28%. Dendrobium officinale Kimura et Migo is a traditional herbal medicine and health food used for tonicity of the stomach and promotion of body fluid production in China. This study aimed to prepare the ultrafine powder of Dendrobium officinale (UDO) and investigate its laxative effect and potential mechanism in mice with diphenoxylate-induced constipation. Results indicated that the mean diameter (d50) of UDO obtained by ball milling was 6.56 lm. UDO (62.5, 125, and 250 mg/kg, p.o.) could significantly enhance the gastrointestinal transit ratio and promote fecal output. Moreover, UDO treatment resulted in significant increases in the serum levels of acetylcholinesterase (AChE), gastrin (Gas), motilin (MTL), and substance P (SP), and obviously decreased serum contents of somatostatin (SS). Taken together, UDO, which can be easily obtained through milling to a satisfactory particle size, exhibited obvious laxative effect in diphenoxylate-induced constipated mice, and the mechanism might be associated with elevated levels of AChE, Gas, MTL, SP, and reduced production of SS. UDO has the potential for further development into an alternative effective diet therapy for constipation.
