Background: Diabetic wounds are a major clinical challenge, because minor skin wounds can lead to chronic, unhealed ulcers and ultimately result in infection, gangrene, or even amputation. Studies on bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) and a series of growth factors have revealed their many benefits for wound healing and regeneration. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) may improve the environment for BMSC development and differentiation. However, whether combined use of BMSCs and PRP may be more effective for accelerating diabetic ulcer healing remains unclear. Objective: We investigated the efficacy of BMSCs and PRP for the repair of refractory wound healing in a diabetic rat model. Methods: Forty-eight rats with diabetes mellitus induced by streptozotocin were divided into four groups: treatment with BMSCs plus PRP, BMSCs alone, PRP alone, phosphate buffered saline. The rate of wound closure was quantified. A histopathological study was conducted regarding wound depth and the skin edge at 7, 14, and 28 days after surgery. Results: Wound healing rates were significantly higher in the BMSC plus PRP group than in the other groups. The immunohistochemistry results showed that the expression of platelet/endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1, proliferating cell nuclear antigen, and transforming growth factor-β1 increased significantly in the BMSC plus PRP group compared to the other treatment groups. On day 7, CD68 expression increased significantly in the wounds of the BMSC plus PRP group, but decreased markedly at day 14 compared to the controls. Conclusion: The combination of BMSCs and PRP aids diabetic wound repair and regeneration. (Ann Dermatol 26(1) 1∼10, 2014)
Strength criterion of plain recycled aggregate concrete under biaxial compression
Zhen-Jun He,Gan-Wen Liu,Wan-Lin Cao,Chang-Yang Zhou,Zhang Jia-Xing 사단법인 한국계산역학회 2015 Computers and Concrete, An International Journal Vol.16 No.2
This paper presents results of biaxial compressive tests and strength criterion on two replacement percentages of recycled coarse aggregate (RPRCA) by mass for plain structural recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) at all kinds of stress ratios. The failure mode characteristic of specimens and the direction of the cracks were observed and described. The two principally static strengths in the corresponding stress state were measured. The influence of the stress ratios on the biaxial strengths of RAC was also analyzed. The experimental results showed that the ratios of the biaxial compressive strength 3f to the corresponding uniaxial compressive strength c for the two RAC are higher than that of the conventional concrete (CC), and dependent on the replacement percentages of recycled coarse aggregate, stress states and stress ratios; however, the differences of tensile-compressive ratios for the two RAC and CC are smaller. On this basis, a new failure criterion with the stress ratios is proposed for plain RAC under biaxial compressive stress states. It provides the experimental and theoretical foundations for strength analysis of RAC structures subject to complex loads.

In this paper, we consider an iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a asymptotically quasi nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of the variational inequality for an inverse strongly monotone mapping in a Hilbert space. Then we show that the sequence converges strongly to a common element of two sets. Using this result, we consider the problem of finding a common fixed point of a asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mapping and strictly pseudocontractive mapping and the problem of finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mapping and the set of zeros of an inverse-strongly monotone mapping.
Robust Multi-response Parameter Design based on RSM
He, Zhen,Zhu, Peng F.,Wang, Jing,Park, S.H. The Korean Society for Quality Management 2009 The Asian Journal on Quality Vol.10 No.3
This paper discusses multi-response robust parameter design problems based on response surface method. Most research effort on multi-response parameter design problem focuses much on finding out optimal parameters based on certain criteria or objectives. Research shows that optimal solution in terms of some criteria may not be robust. To achieve robust solution we should consider how sensitive the solution is when the factors change around it. A comparative study of methods for multi-response robust parameter design is conducted. Solution with consideration of robustness and optimality is proposed with applications of the example.
ON THE EXISTENCE OF SOLUTIONS OF EXTENDED GENERALIZED VARIATIONAL INEQUALITIES IN BANACH SPACES
He, Xin-Feng,Wang, Xian,He, Zhen The Youngnam Mathematical Society 2009 East Asian mathematical journal Vol.25 No.4
In this paper, we study the following extended generalized variational inequality problem, introduced by Noor (for short, EGVI) : Given a closed convex subset K in q-uniformly smooth Banach space B, three nonlinear mappings T : $K\;{\rightarrow}\;B^*$, g : $K\;{\rightarrow}\;K$, h : $K\;{\rightarrow}\;K$ and a vector ${\xi}\;{\in}\;B^*$, find $x\;{\in}\;K$, $h(x)\;{\in}\;K$ such that <Tx-$\xi$, g(y)-h(x)> $\geq$ 0, for all $y\;{\in}\;K$, $g(y)\;{\in}\;K$. [see [2]: M. Aslam Noor, Extended general variational inequalities, Appl. Math. Lett. 22 (2009) 182-186.] By using sunny nonexpansive retraction $Q_K$ and the well-known Banach's fixed point principle, we prove existence results for solutions of (EGVI). Our results extend some recent results from the literature.
PROXIMAL POINTS METHODS FOR GENERALIZED IMPLICIT VARIATIONAL-LIKE INCLUSIONS IN BANACH SPACES
He, Xin-Feng,Lou, Jian,He, Zhen The Youngnam Mathematical Society 2012 East Asian mathematical journal Vol.28 No.1
In this paper, we study generalized implicit variational-like inclusions and $J^{\eta}$-proximal operator equations in Banach spaces. It is established that generalized implicit variational-like inclusions in real Banach spaces are equivalent to fixed point problems. We also establish relationship between generalized implicit variational-like inclusions and $J^{\eta}$-proximal operator equations. This equivalence is used to suggest a iterative algorithm for solving $J^{\eta}$-proximal operator equations.

The approximate solvability of a generalized system for non-linear variational inequality in Hilbert spaces was studied, based on the convergence of projection methods. But little research was done in Banach space. The primary reason was that projection mapping lacked preferably property in Banach space. In this paper, we introduced the generalized projection methods. By using these methods, the results presented in this paper extended the main results of S. S. Chang [3] from Hilbert spaces to Banach space.
Multiresponse Surfaces Optimization Based on Evidential Reasoning Theory
He, Zhen,Zhang, Yuxuan The Korean Society for Quality Management 2004 The Asian Journal on Quality Vol.5 No.1
During process design or process optimization, it is quite common for experimenters to find optimum operating conditions for several responses simultaneously. The traditional multiresponse surfaces optimization methods do not consider the uncertain relationship among these responses sufficiently. For this reason, the authors propose an optimization method based on evidential reasoning theory by Dempster and Shafer. By maximizing the basic probability assignment function, which indicates the degree of belief that certain operating condition is the solution of this multiresponse surfaces optimization problem, the desirable operating condition can be found.
