본 연구는 고층으로 이루어진 카페 고객의 전기 남용 문제를 해결하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 현재 각 카페는 콘센트를 고객에게 제공함으로써 고객의 편의를 돕고 있다. 하지만 고객이 이를 악용하여 장시간 전기를 이용하여 카페 회전율을 낮추고,이에 따른 전기요금 과다 현상이 나타나고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 카페의 각 콘센트에 멀티 탭을 고정하고 소켓을 PC 응용 프로그램을 통하여 제어하고자 한다. 본 연구를 수행함으로써 장시간 전기를 이용하는 고객과 무단으로 침입하여 전기를 사용하는 고객을 배제 할 수 있다. 또한 전기 사용 기본 제공 시간을 정하여 직원의 번거로움을 줄일 수 있다.

<P>The efficacy of microwave irradiation in the quaternization of amino-functionalized MIL-53 metal-organic framework (MOF) as well as the catalytic activity of the resultant MOF in the cycloaddition of carbon dioxide with epoxides under solvent-free conditions has been studied. A series of NH2-MIL-53 were synthesized and quaternized by reacting alkyl halide of various alkyl chains and anions under microwave irradiation. The post-functionalized F-MIL-53-AXs were characterized through solid-state XRD, FT-IR, XPS, and TGA. F-MIL-53-MeI prepared by microwave method showed higher AGC yield than that by the conventional heating method. F-MIL-53-AXs with iodide anion exhibited the best catalytic activity irrespective of the alkyl chain length, in agreement with the generally accepting order of nucleophilicity, Cl<Br<I. A plausible mechanism in which Lewis acidic metal center and quaternary ammonium functional group operate synergistically is proposed. The F-MIL-53-AX catalysts were found to exhibit high thermal stability and were reusable over than three times, without any significant lowering of activity.</P>

Aims: For single small hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), different therapeutic modalities can be tried for patients with preserved liver function. We aim to identify prognostic factors associated with overall survival, that can be used to guide treatment selection. Methods: Between 2010 and 2013, we analyzed 896 patients who received resection, radiofrequency (RF) ablation or transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) as a first-line therapy for single, small (<3cm) HCC. We first identified risk factors associated overall survival in patients who were treated with RF ablation, and then compared long-term outcome according treatment modalities, stratified based on risk factors. Results: Among 425 patients treated with RF ablation, tumor size and PIVKA-II levels were independent factors associated with overall survival. When patients were stratified according to the tumor size and PIVKA-II levels, overall survival of patients treated with RF ablation was significantly different by subgroups (group 1: tumor sized = 2 cm with low PIVKA-II levels (< 30 mAU/ml); group 2: tumor sized 2-3 cm with low PIVKA-II levels (< 30 mAU/ml) or tumor sized = 2 cm with elevated PIVKA-II levels (= 30 mAU/ml); group 3: tumor sized 2-3cm with elevated PIVKA-II levels (= 30 mAU/ml)). When compared to resection, overall survival of those treated with RF ablation was not different to those who received resection in group 1 or group 2, but was significantly lower in group 3. When compared to TACE, those treated with RF ablation showed better survival in group 1 or group 2, but was not different in group 3. Conclusions: Tumor size and PIVKA-II levels were associated with overall survival of patients treated with RF ablation. When patients were stratified according to tumor size and PIVKA-II levels, different long-term outcome by treatment modalities was observed. Our data suggests that these two factors can be a valuable factors in choosing first-line treatment option for single small HCC.
Effect of Lactobacillus Fermentum as a Probiotic Agent on Bone Health in Postmenopausal Women

Background: Probiotics are live microorganisms that confer health benefits on the host. Many animal studies have shown that among the probiotics, lactobacilli exert favorable effects on bone metabolism. Herein, we report the results of a randomized controlled trial performed to investigate the effect of Lactobacillus fermentum (L. fermentum) SRK414 on bone health in postmenopausal women. Methods: The bone turnover markers (BTMs) and bone mineral density (BMD) in participants in the study group (N=27; mean age, 58.4±3.4 years) and control group (N=26; mean age, 59.5±3.4 years) were compared during a 6-month trial. BTMs were measured at pretrial, 3 months post-trial, and 6 months post-trial, while BMD was measured at pre-trial and 6 months post-trial. Changes in the gut microorganisms were also evaluated. Results: Femur neck BMD showed a significant increase at 6 months post-trial in the study group (P=0.030) but not in the control group. The control group showed a decrease in osteocalcin (OC) levels (P=0.028), whereas the levels in the study group were maintained during the trial period. The change in L. fermentum concentration was significantly correlated with that in OC levels (r=0.386, P= 0.047) in the study group at 3 months post-trial. Conclusions: Probiotic (L. fermentum SRK414) supplementation was found to maintain OC levels and increase femur neck BMD during a 6-month trial in postmenopausal women. Further studies with a larger number of participants and a longer study period are required to increase the utility of probiotics as an alternative to osteoporosis medication

The fracture toughness of flux cored arc weld metal with the yield strength 420MPa grade high strength steels for offshore structures depending on the welding position was investigated. Charpy V-notch impact test and the CTOD test of the weld metal in the horizontal and the vertical-up welding positions were carried out, and the microstructure and M-A constituents of the weld metals were observed. The recovery rate of alloying elements in horizontal position weld metal were higher than vertical-up position weld metal and the fraction of low temperature transformation phases having high dislocation density in the horizontal position weld metal was high. As a result, the yield strength, tensile strength and impact toughness of horizontal weld metal were higher than those of vertical-up position weld metal. On the other hand, the CTOD value of vertical-up position weld metal was much higher than horizontal position weld metal. This is because the M-A constituents transformation is promoted by the post-welding on the low temperature transformation region having a high local C concentration in the horizontal position welding, and therefore, the breakdown starts easily by the high M-A constituents.
