        Impaction of permanent canine caused by unsuccessful primary canine pulpotomy: a case report

        Pulpotomies are usually the treatment of choice for vital primary teeth where the removal of deep caries may lead to pulp exposure. These procedures entail removal of the inflamed coronal pulp, application of a pulp capping material, and preservation of the vitality of the radicular pulp. Inaccurate diagnosis or defective restorations may lead to failure of pulpotomies and consequent apical inflammation and cyst formation. The spread of apical inflammatory lesions affecting deciduous canines to the periodontal tissues can cause displacement and impaction of the permanent successor tooth. As this is a serious side effect of pulpotomies, precise diagnosis and long-term follow-up are required before and after the treatment. This case study presents three patients with canine impaction caused by unsuccessful pulpotomy of the deciduous canine.

        Assessment of Fluoride Release through Dentin Adhesive in the Alkasite Restorative Material and Giomer

        이 연구의 목적은 알카자이트 수복재와 자이오머에서 방출되는 불소가 상아질 접착층을 투과하는 유리되는 양을 측정하고 비교하는 것이었다. 알카자이트 수복재와 자이오머 및 불소 미함유 복합레진의 시편을 각 재료 당 20개씩 제작하여 그 중 10개의 시편에 상아질 접착제를 도포하였다. 만들어진 시편을 2.0 mL의 탈이온수가 들어있는 폴리에틸렌튜브에 넣고 37.0℃ 항온수조에 연구 기간동안 보관하였다. 보관 후 1일, 3일, 7일, 14일, 21일, 28일째에 불소 유리량을 측정하였으며 매 측정 후 탈이온수를 교체하였다. 상아질 접착제층 두께의 적절성은 시편을 추가로 제작하여 전계방사형 주사전자현미경으로 관찰하여 평가하였다. 알카자이트 수복재와 자이오머에 상아질 접착제를 도포한 경우 접착제가 불소의 유리를 완전히 차단하지는 않았지만, 유리된 불소의 양이 현저히 감소하였다. 28일간 측정한 알카자이트 수복재의 불소 유리량은 상아질 접착제의 유무와 관계없이 자이오머보다 크게 나타났다. This study evaluated the fluoride release of alkasite restorative material (ARM) and giomer penetrating the dentin adhesive layer. Twenty specimens were prepared for each restorative material, and dentin adhesive with uniform thickness was applied to half of them. The prepared specimens were placed in a polyethylene tube containing 2.0 mL of deionized water and deposited in a 37.0℃ water bath for the study duration. The amount of fluoride release was measured on the 1<sup>st</sup>, 3<sup>rd</sup>, 7<sup>th</sup>, 14<sup>th</sup>, 21<sup>st</sup>, and 28<sup>th</sup> days after deposition. The dentin adhesive applied to the ARM and giomer could not completely block the fluoride release; however, it significantly reduced its amount. The cumulative amount of fluoride release of the ARM after 28 days was higher than that of the giomer regardless of the application of dentin adhesive.

        국내 대학 및 대학원 정보보호 교육과정 분석 및 산업체 필요 지식과의 관련성 비교

        최근 국내외적으로 사이버 공격 이슈가 증가하고, 국가 주요 기반시설과 정보통신망 보호가 중요해지고 있다. 이에따라 정보보호 분야 집중투자 및 전문 인력 양성은 필수적이지만, 우리나라의 경우 정보보호 인력은 매우 부족한 실정이다. 현재 정보보호 인력양성을 위해 노력하고 있는 각 대학 정보보호 관련 학과에서 교과과정 설계에 많은 고민을 하고 있다. 이에 본고에서는 현재 운영 중인 국내 대학 및 대학원의 정보보호 관련 학과들의 교육과정 설계가 어떻게 구성되어 있는지 조사해보았다. 또한, 산업체에서 생각하는 필요 지식 및 기술과의 순위비교를 통해 실제 현장과 얼마나 차이가 있는지 SPSS를 활용한 통계분석으로 알아보았다. 이러한 분석을 통해 교육과정 체계의 미흡한 부분을 보완 할 수 있는 방향을 살펴보고자 한다. These days cyber attacks are increasing all over the world, and the national critical infrastructure and information network protection has become important. For this reason, the concentrated investment in information security and development of professional human resource are essential, but there is a shortage of information security workforce in Korea. Currently, departments of information security in domestic universities make efforts to develop human resource of information security and have a increasing interest in the curriculum design. So this paper investigates the curriculums of information security in domestic universities and graduate schools. And then, it compares with the needs of industry knowledge and skills by using SPSS. Through this analysis, we will get implications about curriculum design of Information security.

        클라우드 서비스는 사용자에게 데이터 저장, 공유, 다운로드 등을 용이하게 해주는 성질과 시, 공간적 특성과 관계없이 사용할 수 있는 특성으로 최근 IT 산업에서 많이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 서버가 공격당할 경우 데이터와 사용자 개인 정보를 포함한 민감 정보가 유출되는 등 다양한 범죄에 노출되어 있다. 이러한 이유로 클라우드의 포렌식 분석 필요성이 증가하였으며, 현재 많이 상용화되어 있는 응용 프로그램에 대해서는 많은 연구가 진행되었다. 본 논문에서는 Box 클라우드에 대해 포렌식 분석을 진행하고 수집한 아티팩트에 관해 설명한다.

        Evaluation of the Color Adjustment Potential of Single-Shade Composite Resin in Primary Teeth

        Restoring composite resins with the optimal shades for all primary teeth is a great challenge for pediatric dentists. A newly developed single-shade composite resin can exhibit a color similar to that of the surrounding tooth structure based on the structural color phenomenon. This study aims to evaluate the color adjustment potential (CAP) of a single-shade composite resin compared to conventional multi-shade composite resins in primary teeth. A single-shade composite resin and two conventional multi-shade composite resins were included in this study. Two types of specimens, a single specimen and a dual specimen, were evaluated. For single specimens, duplications of the primary second molar denture teeth were made using experimental composite resins. For dual specimens, cavities were prepared on the buccal surfaces of extracted primary second molars and restored with experimental composite resins. The L<sup>*</sup>, a<sup>*</sup>, and b<sup>*</sup> values were measured using a colorimeter for the extracted teeth and specimens. The mean ΔE<sub>ab</sub><sup>*</sup> values for single and dual specimens and CAP were calculated. Bonferroni post-hoc analysis was performed to confirm the statistical significance between the ΔE<sub>ab</sub><sup>*</sup> and CAP values of the experimental resins. Among the single specimens, the single-shade composite resin showed significantly higher ΔE<sub>Single</sub> compared to other composite resins (p < 0.0167). There was no significant difference between ΔE<sub>Dual</sub> for all experimental resins. The single-shade composite resin showed highest CAP compared to other multi-shade composite resins. A single-shade composite resin exhibited the most prominent color adaptability compared to other conventional multi-shade composite resins for primary second molars. A single-shade composite resin can simplify shade matching and provide esthetic outcomes for the restoration of primary second molars.

        Surface Roughness and Cariogenic Microbial Adhesion after Polishing of Smart Chromatic Technology-based Composite Resin

        This study compared the surface roughness and microbial adhesion characteristics of Omnichroma, a novel composite resin developed using "smart chromatic technology", with those of two other conventional composite resins with different filler compositions. A total of 144 specimens were fabricated using 3 types of composite resins: Omnichroma (nano-spherical), Filtek Z350XT (nanofill), and Tetric N-Ceram (nanohybrid) and, divided into 3 groups of 48. Finishing was performed using tungsten carbide burs. Specimens were then divided into 3 subgroups using different polishing methods: Control, SofLex, and PoGo. Surface roughness was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively using an atomic force microscope and a scanning electron microscope. Microbial adhesion was assessed by culturing Streptococcus mutans on the specimens for 24 hours and then measuring colony-forming units attached to the upper surface. The surface roughness (Ra) of Omnichroma was 0.123 ㎛ after finishing, and it exhibited a smooth surface compared to the other resins. However, after polishing, there were no significant differences in the surface roughness between the three composite groups, regardless of the polishing methods. The surfaces of the Control subgroups were significantly rougher than those of the SofLex subgroups in all 3 composite groups. However, except for Tetric N-Ceram, there were no significant differences between the Control and PoGo subgroups in the other composite groups. Microbial adhesion assessment showed no significant differences between any of the 3 composite resin subgroups; however, Omnichroma exhibited higher microbial adhesion than the other two composites. No significant correlation was observed between surface roughness and microbial adhesion.
