Ovarian tumors in pregnancy are relatively frequent. Most of them are benign and the malignant tumors have been very rare. Epithelial ovarian tumors of borderline malignant potential presents a well-defined histology and clinical behavior, comprising approximately 15-20% of all epithelial cancers. On the other hand, parovarian epithelial tumor with borderline malignant potential is very rare. In addition, there are some controversies about the orgin, clinical behavior, histologic grading of the parovarian epithelial tumor. We present a case of right parovarian serous tumor of borderline malgnancy in 30-year-old pregnant woman with a brief review of literatures.

Tsutsugamushi disease is one of the causes of acute febrile disease prevalent during fall season, like nephrotic syndrome, hemorrhagic fever, leptospirosis and Q-fever. Especially when tsutsugamushi affects a pregnant woman it should be differentiated from acute pyelonephritis, upper respiratory tract infection, etc. In our case, a woman with pregnant 22 weeks of gestation was admitted because of URI like symptoms such as fever, chillness, headache and myalgia. On her right flank an eschar which was characteristic of Tsutsugamushi disease was found. Her Tsutsugamushi antibody titer which was measured by serologic indirect fluoroimmunoassay was 1: 2560. Antibiotics(P.O. medication for 7-14days) such as tetracycline, doxycycline and chloramphenicol bring excellent effect to the treatment of the tsutsugamushi disease. But such medications however may cause several side effects to a fetus. The possible side effects require us to take a careful consideration as we prescribe such medications to a pregnant woman. In our case, it was found that the symptoms such as fever, chillness, headahe and myalgia which the patient carried at her first stage were disappeared after treating her with amoxicillin i.v. injection and roxitrol(macrolide antibiotics) p.o.medication. She was recovered in general conditions and finally discharged from hospital after 10 days.
Friction in Robot Joints is the Reason for Nonlinearity in Impedance Estimation

A stochastic estimation of arm mechanical impedance (AMI) using a low-friction robot (MIT-MANUS) under Proportional-Derivative (PD) control reported low coherence, indicating nonlinearity in AMI in the low-frequency range. It was hypothesized that the nonlinearity was due to the nonlinearity in the arm. Another study using an industrial robot under a robust impedance control (IMBIC) compensating all the nonlinearities (e.g., Friction) of the robot reported no noticeable nonlinearity. We hypothesized that the nonlinearity is not from the human arm, and the nonlinearity is due to the friction in robot joints. Mechanical impedance of the spring array was estimated using a direct-drive robot, almost identical to MITMANUS, under PD control and IMBIC, respectively. All the coherence functions obtained with IMBIC were larger than 0.9 in the frequency range of interest. The coherence functions with PD control were less than 0.8 in the low frequencies (< 5 Hz). These results indicated that the nonlinearity is due to the friction in robot joints, even though the friction was small. It is indirect but strong evidence that the human arm behaves linearly for small perturbation, and even if the robot has a low friction level, the friction should be compensated for reliable estimation.

Optical character recognition is a primary technology required in different fields, including digitizing archival documents, industrial automation, automatic driving, video analytics, medicine, and financial institution, among others. It was created in 1928 using pattern matching, but with the advent of artificial intelligence, it has since evolved into a high-performance character recognition technology. Recently, methods for detecting curved text and characters existing in a complicated background are being studied. Additionally, deep learning models are being developed in a way to recognize texts in various orientations and resolutions, perspective distortion, illumination reflection and partially occluded text, complex font characters, and special characters and artistic text among others. This report reviews the recent deep learning-based text detection and recognition methods and their various applications.
