Finding hidden space of Coastal Protect area in Korea National Park

There are 4 marine national parks in Korea, Hanryohaesang national park, Taeanhaean national park, Dadohaehaesang national park and Byeonsanbando national park. The total area of these park is 3,332.85㎢ that is 50.07% of the total area of all national parks in Korea, 21 site including mountain etc,. the areas exclusive land(mountain) is 2,753.709㎢ that is 40.9% of the total areas of all national parks in Korea. KNPS has been monitoring about the coastal wetland including mudflat and costal sanddune on 4 marine national park, and identified the total 105 site, 19 site of hanryohaesang national park, 35 site of Taeanhaean national park, 49 site of Dadohaehaesang national park and 2 site of byonsanbando national park and the area of 17.2㎢. This is 0.69% of the total area of mudflat in Korea and 7.8% of mudflat designated protected area in Korea. and also total length of shoreline is 1,729km that is 12% of the total length of shoreline in Korea. However, There is many unexplored coastal zone compared to the long shoreline. so, KNPS will start to research in-depth using technical equipment, for example, drone with camera for measurement, mutispectral scanner, liDAR(light detection and ranging) kinds of 3D scanner for ground, VRS/RTK GPS etc, for studying on the effective coastal zone information research system through precision surveying in 2017. And then, KNPS will carry out to expanding, restoring, monitoring and providing visitor service on special protection area of coastal zone. Background : This study was development of moisture tolerance and high-yielding Rehmannia glutinosa cultivar. Methods and Results : Segang is developed by the medicinal crop breeding team of National Institute of Horticulture and Herbal Science(NIHHS), Rural Development Administration(RDA), during the period from 2005 to 2015. The reproduction of Rehmannia glutinosa has been accomplished mainly by vegetative propagation with its seedlings have many variants. The cultivar was selected from seedling of Jihwang 1(check variety). The plant type of Segang is some rising from ground. Regional yield trials conducted at three site from 2014 to 2015. The root yield of Segang was 21.1ton per hectare, which was increased 12% compared with Jihwang 1. Also, Segang has higher catalpol content and dried root ratio compared with Jihwang 1. Conclusion : Segang is a moisture tolerance and high-yielding Rehmannia glutinosa cultivar.
Common Trigger Points on College-Level Athletes with Various Sports

The purpose of this study was to investigate the distribution of trigger points(TrPs) on athletes with various sporting background. To achieve the purpose, a study was carried out through a survey from 180 athletes involved in 6 selected sports at Yong-In University. Selected sports included Judo, Taekwondo, Kendo, Ssi-reum(Korean traditional wrestling), Boxing, and Golf. An interview type survey and physical examination were conducted with each thirty athletes from each of the selected sports groups. Technical statistic(SPSS 15.0) was used to analyze the distribution of TrPs on these athletes. The most common TrPs observed in muscles of Trapezius, Quadratus Lumborum, Quadriceps in Judo. In Taekwondo, it was on the trapezius and triceps surae. Kendo athletes had TrPs at sites of trapezius, brachioradialis and triceps surae. Ssirem athletes were found to have TrPs on trapezius, deltoid and quadrates lumborum. In boxers, TrPs appearing at trapezius and brachioradialis were observed. Finally, Golf players were seen to have TrPs at trapezius, quadrates lumborum and brachioradialis. Hence, the analysis shows that there are significant differences of the distribution of TrPs according to the different sport items of the athlete.
Actuator Fault Diagnostic Algorithm based on Hopfield Network

A main contribution of this paper is the development of a Hopfield network-based algorithm for the fault diagnosis of the actuators in linear system with uncertainties. An unknown input decoupling approach is introduced to the design of an adaptive observer so that the observer is insensitive to uncertainties. As a result, the output observation error equation does not depend on the effect of uncertainties. Simultaneous energy minimization by the Hopfield network is used to minimize the least mean square of errors of errors of estimates of output variables. The Hopfield network provides an estimate of the gains of the actuators. When the system dynamics changes, identified gains go through a transient period and this period is used to detect faults. The proposed scheme is demonstrated through its application to a simulated second-order system.

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) pre-treated by concentrated mixed acid or oxidized at high temperature were melt mixed with poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) using a twin screw extruder. The morphologies and electrical properties of the MWNT/PMMA composites were investigated. The thermally treated MWNTs (t-MWNTs) were well dispersed, whereas the acid treated MWNTs (a-MWNTs) were highly entangled, forming large-sized clusters. The resulting electrical properties of the composites were analyzed in terms of the carbon nanotube (CNT) dispersion. The experimental percolation threshold was estimated to be $3 wt\%$ of t-MWNTs, but no percolation occurred at similar concentrations in the a-MWNT composites, due to the poor dispersion in the matrix.
A comparative study on power minimization based STAP and SFAP for the GNSS receiver

The power minimization based STAP and SFAP are abbreviated and the performance are evaluated for the GNSS receiver. In order to evaluate the algorithm, STAP with 15 tapped delay line structure and SFAP with 16 point DFT structure are implemented. And the weights are calculated with the power minimization criterion. The performance evaluation are focused on the antenna power pattern and SNR and the test results were compared.

Effects of hydrogen peroxide $(H_2O_2)-induced$ neurotoxicity were investigated in cultured newborn rat spinal dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons after DRG neurons were treated in the media containning various concentrations of $H_2O_2$. In addition, the protective effect of Herba Epimedii (HE) extract against $H_2O_2-induced$ neurotoxicity was examined. Cytotoxic values were determined by the cell viability of living cells using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl) -2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. In the present study, exposure of neurons to $H_2O_2$ resulted in a significant cell death in a dose- and time-dependent manners in cultured DRG neurons. The decrement of cell viability by $H_2O_2$ was blocked by HE. These results suggest that the neuroprotective effect of HE against $H_2O_2-induced$ cytotoxicity may result from the prevention of injury induced by $H_2O_2$.
