The Real Time Infrared Image Acquisition and Processing System Design Based on FPGA

Field programmable gate array (FPGA) has the characteristics of high speed, low power consumption, high integration, flexibility and, small size, etc. In this paper, I design a real time infrared image processing and display system based on FPGA for the requirement of real time infrared image processing, which will realize the transmission, transformation, and storage of the image information, and then complete the infrared image edge detection based on Sobel algorithm by using this system as a platform. At last, the advantages of infrared image processing with this system compared with other methods will be verified in this paper. The experimental results show that the system spends 11.44ms on processing the colorful image whose resolution is 640480.The system has realized the real time, high speed, stable and reliable acquisition, processing and display of infrared image and we can realize the infrared target feature extraction, recognition and tracking when we combine the system with other algorithms.
Proactive and reactive strategic flexibility in coping with environmental change in innovation

This study examines the effects of strategic flexibility on innovation performance byincorporating proactive and reactive strategic flexibility into the framework of strategicflexibility and the moderating effects of environmental change by subdividing this constructinto rate and turbulence. An empirical study of 180 sample Chinese manufacturing firmsshows that: (1) both proactive and reactive strategic flexibility have positive effects oninnovation performance, (2) rate of environmental change significantly positively moderatesthe relationship between proactive strategic flexibility and innovation performance as well assignificantly negatively moderates the relationship between reactive strategic flexibility andinnovation performance and (3) turbulence of environmental change significantly positivelymoderates the relationship between reactive strategic flexibility and innovation performance. The results indicate that firms that face a fast rate of environmental change should directmore attention to proactive strategic flexibility; however, firms that face a high turbulence ofenvironmental change should pay more attention to reactive strategic flexibility.
A Modular Bi-Directional Power Electronic Transformer

This paper presents a topology for a modular power electronic transformer (PET) and a control scheme. The proposed PET consists of a cascaded H-Bridge rectifier on the primary side, a high-frequency DC/DC conversion cell in the center, and a cascaded H-Bridge inverter on the secondary side. It is practical to use PETs in power systems to reduce the cost, weight and size. A detailed analysis of the structure is carried out by using equivalent circuit. An algorithm to control the voltages of each capacitor and to maintain the power flow in the PET is established. The merits are analyzed and verified in theory, including the bi-directional power flow, variable voltage/frequency and high power factor on the primary side. The experimental results validated the propose structure and algorithm.

Five years of PM2.5/PM10 ratios and their potential relationships with wind and relative humidity (RH) were analyzed for three areas in Beijing (northwestern mountainous area, urban area and southern suburbs), and these values were compared with those of five other cities, including Tianjin, Dalian, Hangzhou, Shanghai and Guangzhou. In the past five years, both PM2.5 and PM10 mass concentrations have decreased over the three Beijing regions, particularly during winters. The PM2.5/PM10 ratios have distinct seasonal characteristics, with more frequent high ratios in winter than in other seasons. The high ratio frequency decrease is most evident in winter and in the southern Beijing suburbs. This fine particle proportion decrease is related to air pollution control policies, including the national project ‘Coal to Gas’. HighPM2.5/PM10 ratios are linked to heavy pollution levels and low wind speeds, indicating the importance of PM2.5 accumulation during pollution events in Beijing. The higher PM2.5/PM10 ratios in Beijing are also closely related to southerly winds and high humidity, indicating the contribution of anthropogenic pollution transported from the south. Due to similar geographic environments, Tianjin is similar to Beijing in terms of the frequency distribution characteristics of the PM2.5/PM10 ratios. The coastal city of Dalian is further north and not similar to Beijing or Tianjin, owing to a sea breeze influence. Different from Beijing and Tianjin, the southern cities of Hangzhou, Shanghai and Guangzhou show almost no change in the PM2.5/PM10 ratio frequency distribution with increases in wind speed and relative humidity.

For the first time, our group has developed a novel, high-flux strategy for shape-controlled synthesis of rare earth nano-materials (CePO4) using ionic liquid(IL)-driven supported liquid membrane (HVHP, DUPAPORE1) system. The system contains three phases including a supply phase of rare earth ions, a feed phase of phosphates, and ionic liquid-driven supporting liquid membrane phase. The imidazolium IL-driven supported liquid membrane is promising for nano-synthetic reaction of CePO4. The anion types of immersed imidazolium IL have a critical role in the formation rate of CePO4 nano-materials. Moreover, the adding SO4 2 anion or adjustment of pH in supply phase containing Ce(III) ions could control effectively the morphology of the CePO4 nano-materials. The result can be regarded as a good example, the IL:[C4mim][Tf2N] driven support liquid membrane systems can be used to prepare nano-wire and nano-sphere structures of CePO4 with high efficiency and flux. Besides, the IL-driven supported liquid membrane can be cycled many times by using the back flush activation method.

Rapid and highly selective magnetic core–shell adsorbents for Pb2+ removal from simulated wastewater of rare-earth industry were prepared by synthesizing chitosan-coated Fe3O4 (Fe@CS) beads and following chemical-grafting steps for the diglycolamic-acid group (DGA). The adsorbents had a highly selective ability for Pb2+ toward other metal ions, which attributed to the superior infinity between the DGA and Pb2+. The maximum adsorption capacity of Pb2+ was 70.57 mg/g. The R2 of the pseudo-second order kinetics was 0.99857, which indicated the adsorption process was controlled by chemical reactions. Moreover, diglycolamic-acid functionalized Fe@CS (Fe@CS-DGA) beads separated from water within 9 s under magnetic fields.

The genetic diversities and relationships of 10 Chinese indigenous pig breeds and three exotic pig breeds have been evaluated using 26 microsatellites recommended by the Food and Agriculture Organization & the International Society of Animal Genetics (FAO-ISAG). The allele frequencies, genetic heterozygosity (H) and polymorphism information content (PIC) have been calculated. The results showed that genetic diversity of Chinese indigenous pig breeds is higher than that of the introduced pig breeds. The clustering of 10 breeds is generally consistent with their geographical distribution.
