Development of Signal Monitoring Platform for Sound Source Localization System

The sound source localization system is used to some area such as robotic system, object localization system, guarding system and medicine. So time delay estimation and angle estimation of sound direction are studied until now. These days time delay estimation is described in LabVIEW which is used to create innovative computerbased product and deploy measurement and control systems. In this paper, the development of signal monitoring platform is presented for sound source localization. This platform is designed in virtual instrument program and implemented in two stages. In first stage, data acquisition system is proposed and designed to analyze time delay estimation using cross correlation. In second stage, data obtaining system which is applied and designed to monitor analog signal processing is proposed.
Performance Evaluation of Location Estimation System Using a Non Fixed Single Receiver

General location aware systems are only applied to indoor and outdoor environments using more than three transmitters to estimate a fixed object location. Those kinds of systems have environmental restrictions that require an already established infrastructure. To solve this problem, an Object Location Estimation (OLE) algorithm based on PTP (Point To Point) communication has been proposed. However, the problem with this method is that deduction of performance parameters is not enough and location estimation is very difficult because of unknown restriction conditions. From experimental tests in this research, we determined that the performance parameters for restriction conditions are a maximum transmission distance of CSS communication and an optimum moving distance interval between personal locations. In this paper, a system applied OLE algorithm based on PTP communication is implemented using a CSS (Chirp Spread Spectrum) communication module. A maximum transmission distance for CSS communication and an optimum moving distance interval between personal locations are then deducted and studied to estimate a fixed object location for generalization.

점대점 통신 위치추정을 위한 각도계산 기반의 TOA 알고리즘

고정 객체의 위치를 추정하는 기법에는 TOA와 AOA 알고리즘을 비롯한 다양한 방식이 존재하며 위치추정을 위해 일반적으로 하나의 송신기와 세 개 이상의 수신기가 필요하다. 이러한 점으로 인해 사용자 단말과 관리 시스템간 연동이 되어야 하므로 한정된 장소에서만 고정객체의 위치를 파악할 수 있다는 제약이 따른다. 그러나 대부분의 실제 환경에서는 시스템 관리 정보를 이용한 연동이 어려운 경우가 많으므로 시스템 관리 정보가 없어도 언제 어디에서든 고정객체의 위치를 추정할 수 있는 기술이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 이 요구를 만족하기 위해 사용자의 리모컨이 고정객체와 점대점 통신을 통해 고정객체의 위치를 추정할 수 있는 모델을 설계한다. 또한 설계된 모델에 적용되는 각도계산 기반의 TOA 알고리즘을 제시하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안된 알고리즘을 검증한다. There are many kinds of technique methods including the TOA and AOA algorithms to estimate the location of fixed objects. To estimate the location, generally one sender and more than three receivers are needed. Because of this reason, the user terminal and the management system should be inter-operated each other. Accordingly, there are restrictions that can estimate the location of fixed objects in only limited places. However, it is hard to work with system management information in most real circumstances, and then a technology is required to estimate the location of a fixed object without system management information anytime and anywhere. In this paper, in order to meet the requirement we design models that can estimate the location of fixed object communicated with user's remote controller by peer-to-peer. We propose angular calculation based TOA algorithm applied to designed models, and verify the proposed algorithm through simulation.

국내외적으로 위치정보를 이용한 다양한 위치인식 기반의 지능시스템에 대해 활발한 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 대표적인 점대다점 통신 기반의 위치인식 기법은 TOA(TimeOfArrival)를 이용하여 위치를 인식하고자 하는 노드까지의 거리를 계산하고, 3개 노드들의 위치정보를 삼각측량법에 적용하여 고정노드의 위치를 인식하는 기법이다. 따라서 점대다점 통신 위치인식 기법은 사전에 시스템이 특정 공간에 설치되어 있어야 하는 점과 시스템 구축비용이 필요하다는 단점이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 점대다점 통신 위치인식 기법의 단점을 보완하기 위한 레인징 기반의 점대점 통신 위치인식 기법을 제시하고, 점대다점 기반의 통신 위치인식 기법에 대비한 성능을 평가하고자 한다. 이를 위해 실내 환경에서 레인징 기반의 점대다점과 점대점 통신 위치인식시스템을 각각 구축하여 실험하였다. 실험 결과 제안된 점대점 위치인식을 적용한 기법이 기존의 점대다점 위치인식을 적용한 기법에 비해 위치인식 정밀도가 3배 이상 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다. Domestic and international researches, about intelligent systems based on a variety of location recognitions using location information, have actively proceeded. There presentative location recognition method based on PTMP(Point To Multi Point) communication uses TOA(Time Of Arrival) to calculated istances to a fixed node that you want to recognize a position. The method is used to obtain the fixed node location information from three nodes location information that is applied by the triangulation method. There are disadvantages, an infrastructure should be established at a specific space and the system established costis needed, in the location recognition method based on the PTMP communication, In this paper, the ranging based PTP(Point To Point) location recognition method is proposed to revise the disadvantage of PTMP location recognition method. And then it is compared with PTMP communication location recognition to evaluate performance. In this way, PTMP and PTP communication location recognition systems based on ranging were constructed and tested in an indoor environment. Experiment results show that the proposed PTP location recognition method could be confirmed to improve accuracy more than 3 times when it was compared with the existed PTMP location recognition method.
