Enhancement of the Curie Temperature and the Remanence in NdFeB/Fe Multilayer Films
Ta Van Khoa,Chong-Oh Kim,Luu Tuan Tai,Than Duc Hien,Nguyen Phuc Duong 한국물리학회 2008 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.52 No.5
Multilayer films of Si/Mo(20 nm)/[NdFeB(35 nm)/ Fe(dFe)]4/Mo(30 nm) (dFe: thickness of Fe layer = 0, 5, 10, 15 nm) were prepared by RF sputtering at room temperature. The effect of the thickness of the Fe buffer layers on the Curie temperature and the remanence magnetization of the films have been studied. The Curie temperature and remanence magnetization of the films increased from 315℃ to 335℃and from 0.75 kG to 0.82 kG, respectively, when dFe was increased from 0 to 10 nm. However, the Curie temperature and the remanence decreased to 327℃ and 0.72 kG, respectively, when dFe reached 15 nm. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a comprehensive and far-reaching impact on various fields, especially in the medical aspect. Additionally, many variants of this coronavirus have appeared due to mutation, each of which has distinguished influences. During the Covid-19 pandemic, medical equipment, especially ventilators, has seen a severe shortage. Thus, many studies of ventilators machine have been carried out around the world. And according to these studies, airflow control is one of the critical issues of ventilator machine research that saves human life. Understanding the above problem, it is necessary to conduct system modeling and obtain a model which has high linearity so that the parameters of the ventilation can be controlled to achieve better accuracy. This paper presents the model identification of a two double-acting piston pump system using experimental data. First order plus dead time method is applied to achieve the identification model. The data used for identification and validation are collected by conducting several practical tests on the two double-acting pistons pump system. The discussion on the identified model and future works are also included in this paper.

Abstract

A coumarin-based fluorescent sensor (7-Acryloxy-4-methylcoumarin, AMC) for biothiols has been studied by a combination of quantum chemical calculation and experimental investigation. The AMC selectively reacts with mercapto biomolecules via Michael addition, which can be served as a ratiometric fluorescent sensor for thiol-containing biomolecules. The AMC sensor shows a selectivity towards biothiols with sensitivity in the order of cysteine > glutathione > homocysteine. Moreover, the AMC sensor can detect the cysteine concentration within the intracellular level. The results of the theoretical investigations on the electron excited states show that the lack of overlapping between MOs in transitions of the lower-lying singlet electron excited states and the small energy gap between electron excited states are the cause of fluorescence from the higher-lying singlet electron excited states, as an exception from Kasha's rule. The fluorescence from the higher-lying singlet electron excited states leads to marked fluorescence enhancement at long wavelength in the products of addition reaction of biothiols to AMC sensor.

Highlights

A coumarin-derived ratiometric fluorescent sensor for the determination of biothiols via Michael addition was synthesized.

Absorption and fluorescence characteristics were clarified on the basis of electronically excited states optimized geometries.

The lack of overlap between MOs, and the small energy gap between electronically excited states lead to an exception of Kasha's rule.

Graphical abstract

[DISPLAY OMISSION]

TypicalVietnameseFoodNet: A Vietnamese Food Image Dataset For Vietnamese Food Classifications
Tri Thien Cao,Khoa Van Duong 제어로봇시스템학회 2021 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2021 No.10
The process of classifying many types of food from images is an exciting field involving various applications. Especially in tourist, Vietnamese food classification connects us across our cultures and generations. Food classification is not easy, even with people. The reason is the food’s extreme diversity between dishes and in the middle variations of the dish. So some traditional approaches with hand-crafted features had been used for food recognition. However, evaluation in deep learning and convolutional neural networks achieved higher accuracy compared to the traditional methods. We propose a new dataset called TypicalVietnameseFoodNet and a proposed model with the best performance for our dataset, called the TypicalVietnameseFood model. Our proposed approach achieves 94.84% on the test set.

Aims: Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) is considered as a safe and effective procedure in well - selected patients and appropriate surgical technique. Our aim is to evaluate suitability of using protocol for LPD in treatment of periampullary cancer at a single team. Methods: case series Results: Indication for LPD included 37 cases with resectable tumors which were classified basing on NCCN. All witness evaluation risk of complications with PREPARE score, ASA and evaluation risk of postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) with FRS classification. There were 2 open conversions because of vein resections, accounting for 5.4%. Standard lymphadenectomy was performed in all of 37 cases. In term of PREPARE score, major complications (Clavien - Dindo >= III) were 17.8%, 0% and 0% (5/28, 0/5 and 0/2 cases) in low risk, intermediate risk and high risk group, respectively. All of cases had ASA I or II. POPF happened 11.1% (1/9), 4.1% (1/24) and 50% (1/2) in low risk, intermediate risk and high risk group, respectively. Frozen section was needed for R0 margin. Retrieved lymph nodes was 8 - 18 with 12 lymph nodes in average. Conclusions: Indication for LPD with resectable tumors is acceptable. ASA I or II is a safe measure to select patient for LPD. FRS classification shows appropriation to evaluate risk of POPF.
