최근 스마트폰의 보급에 따라 이동통신에서의 무선 데이터망에 대한 수요가 늘어남에 따라서 이를 보완하기 위해서 무선 사업자들은 WiFi와 같은 대체 통신 인프라를 늘려 나가고 있다. 향후 4G라고불리는 NGN에서는 음성을 비롯한 모든 정보들이 IP망에서 동작하게 될 것이다. 이러한 3G망과 GSM 그리고 WiFi, Wibro 등이 복합적으로 구성되어 있는 IP 네트워크에서 사용자로 하여금 끊김없는 서비스를 유지하려면 각 망간의 수평이동이 원활하게 되어야 하며 이를 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 빠른 핸드오프 성능을 높일 수 있는 인증 개념을 도입하고자 한다. 인증하는 시간을 줄임으로서 끊김없는 서비스를 지원하는데 많은 도움이 될 것이다.
소방공무원 외상 후 스트레스 관리 프로그램이 외상 후 스트레스와 우울에 미치는 효과

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of a post-traumatic stress disorder management program in reducing firefighters’ post-traumatic stress and depression. Methods: This study employed a nonequivalent control group design using pretest and posttest measurements. Sampling was conducted with a convenient method. 44 firefighters (experimental group=22, control group=22) who were at high risk of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression were selected from 1,337 firefighters working in fire stations in multiple sites. Data were collected between August and October 2016. The post-traumatic stress disorder management program was provided to the experimental group for 8 weeks. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and chi-squared and independent t-tests. Results: Compared with the control group, participants in the experimental group showed significantly decreased scores for PTSD (t=-3.34, p=.002) and depression (t=-2.09, p=.043). Conclusion: Our study findings show that firefighters’ PTSD and depression can be systematically managed. Clinical practice should strengthen the ability to cope with PTSD by relieving the psychological trauma of firefighters who experience repeated traumatic events.
CPW-fed Monopole Antennas Based on Liquid Crystal Polymer Substrates for UWB Application

This paper presents CPW-fed planar monopole antennas for UWB application. Two different antennas with and without 5 ㎓ band notch characteristic by inserting a U-shaped thin slot have been developed on flexible 100 ㎛ thick LCP substrates. The proposed antenna without the thin slot provides a return loss of more than 10 ㏈ in the frequency range of 3 ㎓ ~ 13 ㎓. Also, a narrow frequency band rejection performance is obtained from the antenna with the thin slot.

Submergence harms plants by limiting gasexchange and decreasing incoming light. Upon prolongedflooding, deepwater rice (Oryza sativa) escapes completesubmergence by rapid stem growth, but the mechanism ofstem elongation in the early stages following submergenceremains unclear. To elucidate changes in gene expressionduring early submergence-induced stem elongation, weperformed transcriptome analysis using microarray system indeepwater rice. We compared gene expression between thecontrol (0 h) and 1, 4 hour after submergence. We found 586and 1,353 genes for Sub 1 h and 4 h treatments each thatwere up-regulated by at least two-fold, compared to thecontrol (P < 0.05), submergence up-regulated gene expressionrelated to at least 10 independent biological processes. Expression of deepwater rice genes related to energy productionthrough fermentation increased with time after submergence,which likely ensures sufficient energy for rapid stemelongation. We provide the first report of initial and overallexpression of deepwater rice genes related to the responsespecific to submergence escape.

<P>In this study, the potential of ammonia (NH<SUB>3</SUB>) and ammonium carbonate ((NH<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>CO<SUB>3</SUB>) was investigated as alternative fuels of the fuel cell platform. Considering that the anodic oxidation activity of the ammonia compounds is the key for the overall cell performance, this study focused on its improvement by way of including a catalytic additive, which aided in decreasing the use of a precious metal catalyst. Manganese dioxide (MnO<SUB>2</SUB>) was chosen for that purpose. Four different types, specifically alpha (α), beta (β), gamma (γ), and delta (δ), were prepared and tested via an electrochemical analysis. A cyclic voltammetry (CV) test was performed with physically mixed catalytic compositions as nanocomposites, such as 20:80, 50:50, 80:20, 90:10, and 95:5. Among these, only 95 wt % Pt and 5 wt % γ-MnO<SUB>2</SUB> exhibited an intended activity increase. Although the replaced amount of Pt was not very substantial, the increase in power density at least doubled in a single cell test. This study supported the notion that ammonia and its derivative can indeed serve as feasible fuel alternatives when a right catalyst is used, though further and systematic investigation is warranted for the realization.</P><P><A href='http://pubs.acs.org/doi/suppl/10.1021/ie502416b'>ACS Electronic Supporting Info</A></P>
CO<sub>2</sub> Capturing and Mineralization by (Mg)-Phyllosilicate Coated with Fabrics

<P>To promote the practicality of magnesium (Mg)-phyllosilicate as a potent carbonation agent, two inexpensive cotton and nylon fabrics are selected and examined to assess their feasibility for use as supporting media of Mg-phyllosilicate. Mg-phyllosilicate is coated onto the fabrics via a sol-gel method, whose mechanism is explained. The characteristics of the Mg-phyllosilicate coated cotton, along with those of the carbonation products, are explored. Mg-phyllosilicate is found to mediate the carbon dioxide (CO2) mineralization process actively, even on cotton of a supporting material. Conclusively, the obtained results clearly support the potential of mineralization as a feasible option for capturing CO2, in particular with the abiotic catalyst of Mg-phyllosilicate coated onto flexible cotton.</P>
Recovery of Lithium(I), Strontium(II), and Lanthanum(III) Using Ca–Alginate Beads

<P>In this paper, Ca–alginate beads were explored as a potent adsorbent for trace metals and rare earth ions. The biosorption ability of Ca–alginate beads toward trace metal ions (i.e., Li, Sr, and La) was investigated under different conditions of contact time, initial concentration, pH, and existence of competing ions. Adsorption characteristics were examined by means of a kinetic model and Langmuir and Fruendlich adsorption isotherms. The electrostatic interaction between the trace metal ions and alginate beads and the effect of the metal ion on adsorbents were studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results showed that Ca–alginate beads, which are well-known for their special ability to sorb various metals, are also able to take up precious trace metal ions from aqueous solutions.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/jceaax/2013/jceaax.2013.58.issue-9/je400317v/production/images/medium/je-2013-00317v_0014.gif'></P>

50년 이상의 생애주기를 가지고 있는 원자력 발전 플랜트 특성상, 다른 산업분야 보다 상대적으로 긴 생애주기동안 데이터의 관리가 중요하다. 원자력 발전 플랜트와 같은 대형 시스템의 생애주기에는 건설 플래닝, EPC, O&M 단계 각각에 다양한 참여기관이 생기게 되며 생애주기를 지나오며 많은 데이터들이 생성 및 소실 된다. 그렇기 때문에 이들 기간간의 데이터 교환 및 공유의 문제가 발생하게 된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 원전 생애주기 정보모델을 개발하여 전 생애주기에 활용할 필요성이 있는데, 본 연구에서는 이러한 원전 생애주기 정보모델 개발을 위한 문제를 정의하고 요구사항 분석에 대해 살펴본다.

This research was conducted to develop the system for an installation-type remote control operation for the existing excavator without renovation. It was also conducted to supplement the shortcomings of the existing remote control operation, and to develop a system for applying the multi-yoke -type transmission mechanism and the slide roller mechanism. In addition, this study seeks to develop a system that would make remote control operation of the workspace mapping function of the excavator lever possible and to develop an installation -type control operation system for maintaining the excavator’s aforestated unique function.
