<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Wearable displays are considered as a bilateral communication tool in the hyperconnected era. Although several electronic clothing display was demonstrated, high power consumption issue still remained. Here, we present wireless powered wearable μLEDs (WμLEDs) with excellent stability. A custom-designed wireless power supply system operated a 30 × 30 WμLED array on a fabric. The WμLED stability was intensively investigated under bending, stretching, 85 °C/85% relative humidity and artificial sunlight conditions, showing the suitability of WμLED outdoor usage. <P>A new magnetic mesocellular mesoporous silica support featuring a 3D open-pore structure has been developed for highly efficient, filtration-free recycling of chiral ligands for catalytic asymmetric dihydroxylation. Reactions using the ligand immobilized on this magnetic silica system exhibited almost the same reactivity and enantioselectivity as those obtained in the homogeneous reaction. 현재 그리드 컴퓨팅에 관한 연구는 그리드 컴퓨팅 인프라의 성공적인 구축과 함께 그리드 컴퓨팅의 응용분야가 확대됨으로써 그리드 컴퓨팅이 제공하는 고성능 연산 자원뿐만 아니라 대용량의 저장장치와 데이터베이스를 이용하기 위한 데이터 그리드에 관한 연구도 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 데이터 그리드를 이용하는 응용에서 파일을 이용할 기회가 더욱 많음에도 불구하고 데이터베이스에 관한 연구에 비해 파일 데이터에 관한 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 그리드 컴퓨팅 미들웨어의 표준으로 자리 잡고 있는 OGSA를 기반으로 한 그리드 파일 시스템을 설계한다. OGSA 기반 그리드 파일 시스템은 크게 전통적인 파일 시스템과 같은 단일 뷰를 가능케 하는 명명 공간 서비스, 여러 개의 같은 파일을 단일 파일로 보이게 하는 복제 파일 관리 서비스, 파일의 메타 데이터 정보를 관리하는 파일시스템 정보 서비스, 마지막으로 사용자들과 개발자들이 동일한 접근 방식을 이용하도록 하는 서버 · 클라이언트 · 파일 제공자 인터페이스로 구성된다.
Bioinspired Transparent Laminated Composite Film for Flexible Green Optoelectronics

<P>Herein, we report a new version of a bioinspired chitin nanofiber (ChNF) transparent laminated composite film (HCLaminate) made of siloxane hybrid materials (hybrimers) reinforced with ChNFs, which mimics the nanofiber-matrix structure of hierarchical biocomposites. Our HCLaminate is produced via vacuum bag compressing and subsequent UV-curing of the matrix resin-impregnated ChNF transparent paper (ChNF paper). It is worthwhile to note that this new type of ChNF-based transparent substrate film retains the strengths of the original ChNF paper and compensates for ChNF papers drawbacks as a flexible transparent substrate. As a result, compared with high-performance synthetic plastic films, such as poly(ethylene terephthalate), poly(ether sulfone), poly(ethylene naphthalate), and polyimide, our HCLaminate is characterized to exhibit extremely smooth surface topography, outstanding optical clarity, high elastic modulus, high dimensional stability, etc. To prove our HCLaminate as a substrate film, we use it to fabricate flexible perovskite solar cells and a touch-screen panel. As far as we know, this work is the first to demonstrate flexible optoelectronics, such as flexible perovskite solar cells and a touch-screen panel, actually fabricated on a composite film made of ChNF. Given its desirable macroscopic properties, we envision our HCLaminate being utilized as a transparent substrate film for flexible green optoelectronics.</P>
Future Trends of AI-Based Smart Systems and Services: Challenges, Opportunities, and Solutions

Smart systems and services aim to facilitate growing urban populations and their prospects of virtual-real social behaviors, gig economies, factory automation, knowledge-based workforce, integrated societies, modern living, among many more. To satisfy these objectives, smart systems and services must comprises of a complex set of features such as security, ease of use and user friendliness, manageability, scalability, adaptivity, intelligent behavior, and personalization. Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) is realized as a data-driven technology to provide an efficient knowledge representation, semantic modeling, and can support a cognitive behavior aspect of the system. In this paper, an integration of AI with the smart systems and services is presented to mitigate the existing challenges. Several novel researches work in terms of frameworks, architectures, paradigms, and algorithms are discussed to provide possible solutions against the existing challenges in the AI-based smart systems and services. Such novel research works involve efficient shape image retrieval, speech signal processing, dynamic thermal rating, advanced persistent threat tactics, user authentication, and so on.
Adaptive Visual Servo Control For A Quadrotor Helicopter

An adaptive image-based visual servo (IBVS) control for a quadrotor helicopter is proposed in this paper. By employing the adaptive gain in the IBVS control method, performance and stability of the under-actuated system are improved. The performance of the overall approach is validated by numerical and vision integrated hardware-in-the-loopsimulation (HILS) with the nonlinear quadrotor helicopter dynamics.
Dynamic Dissimilarity Measure for Support-Based Clustering

<P>Clustering methods utilizing support estimates of a data distribution have recently attracted much attention because of their ability to generate cluster boundaries of arbitrary shape and to deal with outliers efficiently. In this paper, we propose a novel dissimilarity measure based on a dynamical system associated with support estimating functions. Theoretical foundations of the proposed measure are developed and applied to construct a clustering method that can effectively partition the whole data space. Simulation results demonstrate that clustering based on the proposed dissimilarity measure is robust to the choice of kernel parameters and able to control the number of clusters efficiently.</P>
Thermodynamic Control of Diameter-Modulated Aluminosilicate Nanotubes

<P>The diameter of imogolite nanotubes was regulated by altering the synthesis temperature and was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and <SUP>29</SUP>Si cross-polarization magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (CP-MAS NMR). Imogolite diameter modulation via thermodynamic control was induced by curvature formation of the proto-imogolite cluster, which was dependent on the degree of silanol (SiOH) substitution. At lower temperature, 323 K, the amount of SiOH substitution in the proto-imogolite clusters decreases and accordingly reduces the hydrogen bonding among SiOH substituents. In contrast, at higher temperature, 371 K, the large amount of SiOH substitution in the proto-imogolite clusters increases the hydrogen bonding among silanol groups, which also increases the degree of the curvature.
