This paper presents an analysis of microwave device component. An H-Plane waveguide component with arbitrary shape is analyzed using finite element method (FEM) cooperated with boundary element method(BEM). The finite element method (FEM) is applied to the junction region and the boundary element method(BEM) to the waveguide region. For the application of BEM in the waveguide structure, a ray representation of the waveguide Green's function is used. The proposed technique was applied to the analysis of the waveguide inductive junction to compare the numerical result with the result of the mode matching technique. The comparison showed good agreements between the two results. Transmitted powers were also computed in T-junction waveguides for the various shape of the junction area.

본 논문에서 무선 양이 보청기 시스템을 위한 소형 안테나를 설계 및 측정하였다. 제안된 안테나는 CPW 형태로 급전하였으며 ┌ 자형과 테이퍼드 슬롯으로 구조, 고유전율 세라믹 기판(ε=10)을 이용하여 안테나 크기를 소형화 시켰다. 제작된 안테나는 비유전율 10인 Taconic 사의 두께 0.635 ㎜인 기판을 사용하였으며, 안테나 크기는 3.68 ㎜ × 4.28 ㎜ 로 매우 작다. 설계주파수는 8.4 GHz 이며, 제작된 안테나 실험 결과 7.9 ~ 9.5 GHz 까지 -10 dB 이하에 반사 손실을 보였다. 또한 인체 귀 주변에 위치별로 S21 측정 실험을 진행하여 측정된 값을 비교함으로써 제안된 안테나의 통신 성능이 가장 좋은 위치를 살펴보았다. 실험결과 귀 뒤 위치에서 S21 값이 가장 잘 나타나는 것을 (위치 3에서 S21=-52.6 dB, 위치 5에서 S21=-53 dB) 확인하였다.

A method for simultaneous measurement of both complex permeability and permittivity is presented using a multilayered conductor-backed coplanar waveguide (MCBCPW) structure to evaluate the possibility of MCBCPW as a sensor for nondestructive electromagnetic measurement. Formulae and methods are developed to extract the electromagnetic parameters of material under test (MUT) placed on the topside of CPW. The measurement results for magnetic powder on MCBCPW sensor showed good agreement with those using coaxial sensors. The method allows both permittivity and permeability to be measured in a single-step measurement without modifying or reshaping the material, making this method particularly attractive for inhomogeneous materials such as biological materials.
코로나 방전의 방향탐지를 위한 전기적 빔 조향 기반 라디오미터 시스템 연구

In this study, we designed and fabricated a radiometer using electric beam steering to improve the problems of the conventional corona discharge detection. The research was then conducted to image the data so that direction of corona discharge could be detected. When a corona discharge occurred, heat was generated around it and the electromagnetic wave generated by the heat was detected to detect the direction of the corona discharge. In addition, by selecting the electric beam steering using a phase shifter, the stability of the system is increased and the data is imaged to increase the accuracy of the detection of the measurement object. In particular, by showing the possibility of direction detection using electric beam steering, it laid the foundation for the possibility of direction detection of corona discharge.
