In this paper, the preparation of a GdSiO4+Mullite coating by a slurry dip process is described. The slurry was optimized in terms of solid loading, solvent type and the chemical as dispersant and/or binder, and the process was determined based on the surface quality by SEM examination. The results showed that a slurry using ethanol as solvent, polyvinyl butyral (PVB) as both dispersant and binder together with a relatively high ceramic loading contributed to the successful deposition of a GdSiO4+Mullite coating on SiC. Exploring the Significance and Interpretation of Animal Motifs in Rock Art: A Systematic Review

Rock art has been a subject of fascination for scholars, archaeologists, and enthusiasts for centuries due to its unique aesthetic qualities and cultural significance. This systematic review paper provides an overview of the significance of rock art motifs and their interpretations. Through a comprehensive analysis of the literature, we identified common rock art motifs and themes, as well as various interpretative approaches and theoretical frameworks used to understand the meanings and contexts of these motifs. The review also explores variations in interpretations across time and space and discusses the implications of these findings for rock art studies. The results reveal that rock art motifs and their interpretations are shaped by diverse cultural, social, and historical contexts, and that interdisciplinary and community-engaged research is needed to better understand, preserve, and appreciate this unique cultural heritage. The limitations and recommendations for future research are also discussed. This review contributes to our understanding of the cultural, symbolic, and aesthetic significance of rock art and highlights the importance of interdisciplinary perspectives and engagement with local communities in the study and conservation of rock art sites and cultural heritage.
EXISTENCE AND MULTIPLICITY OF NONTRIVIAL SOLUTIONS FOR KLEIN-GORDON-MAXWELL SYSTEM WITH A PARAMETER

This paper is concerned with the following Klein-Gordon-Maxwell system: $$ \left\{ \begin{array}{ll} \displaystyle -\Delta u+\lambda V(x)u-(2\omega+\phi)\phi u=f(x,u), \mbox{ \ \ }x\in\mathbb{R}^{3},\\ \Delta\phi=(\omega+\phi)u^{2},\mbox{ \ \ }x\in\mathbb{R}^{3}, \end{array} \right. $$ where $\omega>0$ is a constant and $\lambda$ is the parameter. Under some suitable assumptions on $V(x)$ and $f(x, u)$, we establish the existence and multiplicity of nontrivial solutions of the above system via variational methods. Our conditions weaken the Ambrosetti Rabinowitz type condition.
Infinitely many solutions for a class of modified nonlinear fourth-order elliptic equations on Rn

Under some appropriate assumptions on $V(x)$ and $f(x, u)$, we prove the existence of infinitely many negative-energy solutions for the above system via the genus properties in critical point theory. Some recent results from the literature are extended.

Under some suitable assumptions on $V(x)$, $f(x)$ and $g(x)$, we prove that the above system has at least two different nontrivial solutions via the Ekeland's variational principle and the Mountain Pass Theorem in critical point theory. Some recent results from the literature are improved and extended.

Spent tire is a kind of solid waste with large production, accumulation and great pollution. Spent tire charis the primary product of tire harmless disposal. Its commercial value is enhanced by modification. In thisstudy, K-N co-doped activated carbon was prepared by using spent tire char as raw material, KOH andmelamine as activator and dopant to enhance CO2 capture. In comparison with traditional process, thereasons for the decrease in specific surface area and pore volume caused by K doped have been identified,and a potential doped mechanism has been proposed. It was determined that pyridine nitrogen in theamino functional group played a key role in CO2 adsorption. Meanwhile, the synergistic intensificationof CO2 adsorption by potassium phenolic and pyridine nitrogen was verified by simplified model simulation. The precise K-N doping significantly intensify the CO2 adsorption capacity of spent tire char from0.45 to 2.60 mmol/g (1 bar, 0℃), an increase of 4.78 times. Thermodynamic studies have demonstratedthat the Langmuir model accurately describes the adsorption process, and the adsorption reaction takesplace spontaneously at temperatures below 80.52 C. This work presents an efficient process for upgradingspent tire char, and a novel method of co-treating waste and CO2.

Background Osteoporosis (OP) is one of the most common bone diseases, resulting in increased mortality, persistent disability, and reduced quality of life. It is characterized by bone loss and low bone quality. Objective The objective of this study was to detect possible effects of HOXA11-AS on the progression of Osteoporosis (OP) and investigate the potential downstream targets. Results We found HOXA11-AS was low expression in BMSCs of OVX-induced rats. HOXA11-AS promoted osteoblastic differentiation and the expression of osteoblastic genes in BMSCs. Mechanically, we found HOXA11-AS negatively regulated the expression of miR-208a-3p, and miR-208a-3p could further target ETS proto-oncogene 1 (ETS1) in BMSCs. We further demonstrated HOXA11-AS promoted osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs through ETS1. Conclusion We therefore thought HOXA11-AS could serve as a promising target for the treatment of OP.

Hepatic injury is significant in the pathogenesis and development of many types of liver diseases. Punicalagin (PU) is a bioactive antioxidant polyphenol found in pomegranates. To explore its protective effect against carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced liver injury and the mechanism, Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) mice and L02 cells were used to observe the changes of serum biochemical indicators, histopathological liver structure, cell viability, antioxidative indices, and autophagy-related proteins were assessed. In ICR mice, PU ameliorated the CCl4-induced increase of the serum aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, the activity of liver lactate dehydrogenase, and the damage of histopathological structure, and exhibited a hepatoprotective effect against CCl4. PU attenuated oxidative stress by decreasing the liver malondialdehyde level and increasing the activities of liver superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and the expression of the liver nuclear factor E2-related factor (Nrf2) protein. Furthermore, according to the vivo and vitro experiments, PU might activate autophagy through the mediation of the Akt/FOXO3a and P62/Nrf2 signaling pathway. Taken together, these results suggest that PU may protect against CCl4-induced liver injury through the upregulation of antioxidative activities and autophagy.
