<P>The partial maximum <I>a</I> <I>posteriori</I> probability (PMAP) principle can be applied to reduce the complexity of the multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) detection through the successive interference cancellation (SIC). In this paper, we apply the PMAP principle to the list detection method for MIMO detection, where the SIC is performed with a list of candidates. The PMAP principle helps to choose candidate symbol vectors in the list detection. It is shown that the proposed method outperforms the conventional list detection method with a reasonable complexity.</P>

In this work, a mathematical formulation based on fundamental principles of momentum and masstransport with a kinetic adsorption model at the liquid-solid interface is proposed. This formulation wasnumerically solved and used for the interpretation of adsorption rate data of phenol onto an activatedcarbon cloth in a stirred tank adsorber under different agitation rates. The mathematical model solutionwas compared with the obtained by mathematical models that neglect the local velocity andconcentration profiles in the solution; external mass transfer model (EMTM) and thefirst-order kineticmodel (FOM). The results showed that under all studied stirring speeds (30 200 rpm) the proposedmodel was able to capture the dynamics of the concentration decay curves, while EMTM and FOM modelswere only able to interpret the data at high stirring speeds, indicating that velocity profiles play animportant role during phenol adsorption. Particular “wake zones” were identified behind the mobileadsorbent, which importantly promotes the transport of solute toward the activated carbon cloth. As aresult, it was found that convective transport is much more important than diffusive transport in thesolution.

Solution processing of crosslinkable small molecular thin films is potentially attractive for the fabrication of large-area displaypanels based on organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The characteristics of a wet-processed film made of a thermallycrosslinked small-molecular material can be controlled by simply adding a cosolvent to its solution. The surface morphologyof a nanometer-scale thin film made of N4,N4′-di(naphthalen-1-yl)-N4,N4′-bis(4-vinylphenyl)biphenyl-4,4′-diamine(VNPB), dissolved in chlorobenzene, improved dramatically after the addition of 20% cyclohexanone. At the same time,better resistance of the crosslinked layer to a number of solvents frequently used in the fabrication of the adjacent emittinglayer was achieved. Moreover, the maximum current efficiency in the binary solvent device increased significantly to 22.2Cd/A, compared to 9.7 Cd/A in the reference device without VNPB, and the device lifetime was extended by up to 74.8%. This illustrates a simple and additive-free strategy to prevent the formation of defects in solution processed thin-film stacksmade of small-molecular materials. The insights gained will be helpful in the solution-based manufacture of large-areaOLEDs and other optoelectronic components.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the operational system of pro-sports and the state of the courses of retired professionals from 1980, the first year in which Korean pro-sports started actually, up to now, and present the problems to improve the operational system of pro-sports and some direction for retired professional`s social application smoothly. The results of this study were as follows. First The re-contract basis of leaders was much reflected in the corporation position and also the contracts with players depended on the unreasonable rules made unilaterally by the corporations and the leagues. Second, it is necessary to review the way of selecting the new players which opinions were ignored. Because it opposed against the basic human right about the liberty of job choice. Third, each kind of game only focused on the entertainment industry. So that often caused the modifications of the game systems. Fourth, it was difficult to show a profit in the present way used the rented ground far a short term The way was pointed out an obstacle to improving the quality of the corporations` service. Fifth, only part of retired players serve as leaders related to their major and the leaders of soccer and baseball are more than those of Korean wrestling and basketball. It was estimated that in the case of having jobs in the other fields except sports, they would face the limit to accomplishment and satisfaction of their jobs. Sixth, in order to develop Korean pro-sports, we must solve the problems like a organizational foundation for players` right protection, the improvement of FA system, introduction of the agent system, elimination of unequal articles, a program administration for re-employment, and strengthening the ties between amateur sports and professional sports.

Bread making is based on several simple unit operations, basically kneading, fermentation and baking; however, it is still a quite complex process and bread quality can be strongly affected by minor details. The market of bread production is roughly shared at 50-50 between the industry market and the artisanal market, even though the frontier between these two players is not very easy. Different strategies have been developped by the industry to extend the shelf life of bread or to interrupt the bread making process. Freezing for example has been used form the 50s to extend the shelf life of bakery products. It was first applied to fully baked products and then to frozen dough which appeared as an interesting strategy to interrupt the bread making protocol. This paper presents a review on key issues of the frozen dough technology.
A Fast and Accurate Algorithm for Detecting Community Structure in Social Networks

Studies of community structure and evolution in large social networks require fast and accurate algorithms for community detection. Among the existing algorithms for community detection, the label propagation algorithm (LPA) and the Newman modularity Q algorithm (NMA) have been widely used and studied in the community detection in large social networks, since the LPA has the advantages of near-linear running time, easy implementation and without requiring parameters, and the NMA is a relatively fast algorithm and has a clear metrics to measure community structure. However, the LPA has the shortcomings that the result of the community detection is instable and has a low quality. At the same time, disadvantages of the NMA are that it bases its decisions on purely local information about individual communities and gets the local optimal solution. In this paper, combined with these two algorithms, we propose a new community detection algorithm (LP-NMA), which extends the above two algorithms (the LPA and the NMA is a special case of the new algorithm respectively). The new algorithm not only retains the advantages of these two algorithms, but also has improved the stability and quality of community detection. Experiments on real social networks have proved that this method is better than the original LPA and NMA.
