A bioinspired, synthetic multicellular ionic polymer composite for ultrasensitive ionic skin

Ionic skin is a new type of sensory sheet, composed of an elastic matrix swollen by ionic liquids, that can detect the external stimuli similar to human skin. Here, we present a bioinspired synthetic multicellular ionic polymer composite composed of ionic liquid confined on the surface of silica microparticles (as artificial cells) embedded into a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomeric matrix (artificial extracellular matrix) to fabricate ultrasensitive ionic skins (48.1-5.8 kPa<sup>-1</sup>) over a wide spectrum of pressures (0-135 kPa) at an ultra-low voltage of 1 mV. This ionic skin engages in hydrogen bond-triggered reversible pumping of ionic fluids under pressure with the ability to surpass the pressuresensing capabilities of natural skin mechanoreceptors. Our ultrasensitive ionic skin realizes the fabrication of a wearable drone microcontroller, capable of simultaneous and selective controlling of aerial drone’s during its flight.

Background: Decision making modalities for screening for many cancer conditions and different stages have become increasingly complex. Computer-based risk assessment systems facilitate scheduling and decision making and support the delivery of cancer screening services. The aim of this article was to survey electronic risk assessment system as an appropriate tool for the prevention of cancer. Materials and Methods: A qualitative design was used involving 21 face-to-face interviews. Interviewing involved asking questions and getting answers from exclusive managers of cancer screening. Of the participants 6 were female and 15 were male, and ages ranged from 32 to 78 years. The study was based on a grounded theory approach and the tool was a semi-structured interview. Results: Researchers studied 5 dimensions, comprising electronic guideline standards of colorectal cancer screening, work flow of clinical and genetic activities, pathways of colorectal cancer screening and functionality of computer based guidelines and barriers. Electronic guideline standards of colorectal cancer screening were described in the s3 categories of content standard, telecommunications and technical standards and nomenclature and classification standards. According to the participations' views, workflow and genetic pathways of colorectal cancer screening were identified. Conclusions: The study demonstrated an effective role of computer-guided consultation for screening management. Electronic based systems facilitate real-time decision making during a clinical interaction. Electronic pathways have been applied for clinical and genetic decision support, workflow management, update recommendation and resource estimates. A suitable technical and clinical infrastructure is an integral part of clinical practice guidline of screening. As a conclusion, it is recommended to consider the necessity of architecture assessment and also integration standards.

Background: The most common type of ocular lymphoma is non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), categorized into two groups: indolent (slow growing) and aggressive (rapid growing). Differentiating benign reactive lymphoid hyperplasia (RLH) from malignant ocular adnexal lymphoma (OAL) is challenging. Histopathology, immunohistochemistry (IHC) and flow cytometry have been used as diagnostic tools in such cases. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective case series, from 2002 to 2013 at Farabi Eye Center, 110 patients with ocular lymphoproliferative disease were enrolled. Prevalence, anatomical locations, mean age at diagnosis and the final diagnosis of the disease with IHC were assessed. Comparison between previous pathologic diagnoses and results of IHC was made. Immunoglobulin light chains and B-cell and T-cell markers and other immuno-phenotyping markers including CD20, CD3, CD5, CD23, CD10, CYCLIND1 and BCL2 were evaluated to determine the most accurate diagnosis. The lymphomas were categorized based on revised European-American lymphoma (REAL) classification. Results: Mean age ${\pm}$ SD (years) of the patients was $55.6{\pm}19.3$ and 61% were male. Patients with follicular lymphoma, large B-cell lymphoma or chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small cell lymphoma (CLL/SLL) tended to be older. Nine patients with previous diagnoses of low grade B-cell lymphoma were re-evaluated by IHC and the new diagnoses were as follows: extranodal marginal zone lymphoma(EMZL) (n=1), SLL(n=1), mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) (n=3), reactive lymphoid hyperplasia RLH (n=2). Two cases were excluded due to poor blocks. Flow cytometry reports in these seven patients revealed SLL with positive CD5 and CD23, MCLwith positive CD5 and CyclinD1 and negative CD23, EMZL with negative CD5,CD23 and CD10. One RLH patient was negative for Kappa/Lambda and positive for CD3 and CD20 and the other was positive for all of the light chains, CD3 and CD20. Orbit (49.1%), conjunctiva (16.1%) and lacrimal glands (16.1%) were the most common sites of involvement. Conclusions: Accurate pathological classification of lesions is crucial to determine proper therapeutic approaches. This can be achieved through precise histologic and IHC analyses by expert pathologists.
ON THE κ-REGULAR SEQUENCES AND THE GENERALIZATION OF F-MODULES

For a given ideal I of a Noetherian ring R and an arbitrary integer ${\kappa}{\geq}-1$, we apply the concept of ${\kappa}$-regular sequences and the notion of ${\kappa}$-depth to give some results on modules called ${\kappa}$-Cohen Macaulay modules, which in local case, is exactly the ${\kappa}$-modules (as a generalization of f-modules). Meanwhile, we give an expression of local cohomology with respect to any ${\kappa}$-regular sequence in I, in a particular case. We prove that the dimension of homology modules of the Koszul complex with respect to any ${\kappa}$-regular sequence is at most ${\kappa}$. Therefore homology modules of the Koszul complex with respect to any filter regular sequence has finite length.

Meanwhile, we give an expression of local cohomology with respect to any k-regular sequence in I, in a particular case. We prove that the dimension of homology modules of the Koszul complex with respect to any k-regular sequence is at most k. Therefore homology modules of the Koszul complex with respect to any lter regular sequence has nite length.

A simple graph is called semi-symmetric if it is regular and edge transitive but not vertex transitive. In this paper we prove that there is no connected cubic semi-symmetric graph of order $12p^3$ for any prime number $p$.
An electrochromically-driven photonic skin based on highly deformable iontronic polymer pump

Photonic skin is a sensory device system that can directly reflect external stimuli by generating visual human-readable response through optical means such as light emitting or chromism. Electrochromism is the phenomenon that color of semiconducting materials is reversibly changed by electrochemical redox reaction. In this work, we report the first electrochemically-driven photonic skin based on highly deformable iontronic polymer pump. Ionic thermoplastic polyurethane film with ionic liquid ([EMIM<sup>+</sup>][TFSI<sup>-</sup>]) prepared under an optimal condition, as a role of functional elastomeric ion pumps, could serve good mechanical properties, high transmittance, and ionic conductivity. In addition, we could selectively migrate ions into the chromic material with a conductive pen under low voltage. This allows us to expect that our iontronic, photonic skin can be applicable to active touch board for directly visualized writing and erasing, reversibly for next generation human-machine soft interface.
