Purpose: This study aims to investigate the effect of splenectomy on radiation-mediated growth inhibition and immune modulation in lung cancer xenograft models. Materials and Methods: Human non-small cell lung cancer H1299 cells and murine Lewis lung carcinoma LL/2-luc cells were injected into the right hind leg of BALB/c-nude mice and C57BL/6 mice, respectively. Splenectomy or sham operation was performed prior to tumor cell injection or before and after irradiation during tumor growth. Irradiation was delivered with 2-3 fractions of 6 Gy X-ray using a linear accelerator. Flow cytometry analysis was performed for immune cell profiling. Results: Splenectomy prior to tumor injection or at early stage inhibited growth of LL/2-luc tumors but not that of H1299 tumors; however, it did not enhance the antitumor effect of radiation regardless of intervention timing. Flow cytometry analysis showed monocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) and activated CD8+ T cells increased after irradiation in the tumors of splenectomized mice, compared to those of sham-operated mice. Administration of anti-PD-1 (programmed death-1) antibodies improved the ability of splenectomy to attenuate the growth of irradiated tumors. Conclusion: Splenectomy has paradoxical effects on radiation-induced tumor growth inhibition, depending on tumor types and intervention timing, but it has an immune-modulating effect when combined with radiation.

A 7-year-old girl visited the Samsung Medical Center emergency room for primary tooth aspiration during primary tooth extraction under conscious sedation with N<sub>2</sub>O. The patient showed no signs of respiratory complications. Chest radiography and CT revealed a tooth in the right bronchi. Foreign body removal using rigid bronchoscopy was performed on the day of aspiration. With close monitoring of the airway in the pediatric ICU, extubation was performed the next day, and the patient was discharged the same day. The primary objective of this case report was to highlight the potential risk of aspiration associated with the use of N<sub>2</sub>O gas for conscious sedation.
생성형 AI는 인간 관리자를 대체할 수 있는가? 자동 생성된 관리자 응답이 고객에 미치는 영향

최근 생성형 AI, 특히 ChatGPT와 같은 대화형 인공지능이 고객 서비스를 자동화하는 기술적 대안으로 주목받고 있다. 그러나 고객 서비스 자동화에 있어 현재의 생성형 AI 기술이 기존 인간 관리자를 효과적으로 대체할 수 있는지, 조건이나 환경에 따라 어떤 상황에서는 유리하고 다른 상황에서는 불리한지에 대한 연구는 아직 충분히 이루어지지 않은 상태이다. 이러한 배경에서 본 연구는 “고객 서비스 활동과 관련하여 생성형 AI가 인간 관리자를 대체할 수 있는가?”라는 질문에 답하기 위해, 음식 배달 플랫폼의 고객 온라인 리뷰에 대한 실험과 설문조사를 수행하였다. 또한 고객의 온라인 리뷰가 긍정적일 때와 부정적일 때에 따라 차이가 있는지 정교화 가능성 모델의 관점을 적용하여 가설을 도출하고 해당 가설이 지지되는지를 분석을 통해 확인하였다. 분석 결과, 긍정적인 리뷰에 대해서는 생성형 AI가 인간 관리자를 효과적으로 대체할 수 있지만, 부정적인 리뷰에 대해서는 완벽한 대체가 어려워 인간 관리자의 개입이 더 바람직한 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 생성형 AI를 이용하여 고객 서비스 자동화하고자 하는 기업들에게 유의미한 실무적인 통찰을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이다. Generative AI, especially conversational AI like ChatGPT, has recently gained traction as a technological alternative for automating customer service. However, there is still a lack of research on whether current generative AI technologies can effectively replace traditional human managers in customer service automation, and whether they are advantageous in some situations and disadvantageous in others, depending on the conditions and environment. To answer the question, Can generative AI replace human managers in customer service activities?, this study conducted experiments and surveys on customer online reviews of a food delivery platform. We applied the perspective of the elaboration likelihood model to generate hypotheses about whether there is a difference between positive and negative online reviews, and analyzed whether the hypotheses were supported. The analysis results indicate that for positive reviews, generative AI can effectively replace human managers. However, for negative reviews, complete replacement is challenging, and human managerial intervention is considered more desirable. The results of this study can provide valuable practical insights for organizations looking to automate customer service using generative AI.

국내 1인 가구의 비중이 커지면서 이와 관련된 맞춤 서비스의 수요 또한 증가하고 있다. 이러한 사회적 흐름에 주목하여 1인 가구 관련 서비스가 개발되고 있다. 그러나 사용자의 요구를 종합하여 다양한 기능을 제공하는 시스템을 찾기는 어렵다. 현 상황을 고려하여 본 논문에서는 1인 가구를 위한 맞춤형 커뮤니티 서비스를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 서비스는 사용자의 경제적 부담을 줄이기 위해 배달 및 배송 공동구매와 OTT 플랫폼 공유 구독자 모집을 지원한다. 그리고 1인 가구 정책 및 유용한 생활 정보를 공유할 수 있다. Paying attention to these social trends, services related to single-person households are being developed. However, it is difficult to find a system that provides various functions by synthesizing user needs. Considering the current situation, this paper proposes a customized community service for single-person households. The service proposed in this paper supports the group purchase of delivery and delivery and the recruitment of OTT platform sharing subscribers to reduce the economic burden of users. You can also share single-person household policies and useful life information.

Since the discovery of MXene, which has been attracting attention as an alluring two-dimensional material with a distinct structure and mechanical and electrical capabilities, numerous attempts have been made to combine MXene with polymer additives to enhance and compensate for MXene’s inherent weakness. In this work, the rheological properties of MXene ( Ti3C2Tx)-polymer composite inks of three different polymers with various interaction with MXene particles are examined. Polyethylene glycol (PEG), which is known to physically adsorb on the surface of MXene, improved MXene dispersion while enhancing the viscoelastic property of ink. MXene ink containing polyethylenimine (PEI) was destabilized forming a viscoelastic network structure as PEI of strong positive charge adsorbed on the MXene surface to neutralize negative charge and diminish electrostatic repulsion. In the case of MXene-polyacrylic acid (PAA) composite ink, the formation of hydrogen bonds between MXene and PAA resulted in a dense network structure with high viscoelasticity. In terms of rheological property sensitivity to concentration, MXene ink without polymer additives exhibited power-law behavior with the largest exponent, whereas MXene-polymer composite inks indicated moderate sensitivity. Our findings will aid in the design of MXene-based composites with optimum rheological properties for specific processes such as 3D printing and coating.
