        새로운 방식의 나사형 인공디스크 고정체 해석

        The various total replacement artificial discs have developed because spinal fusion has shown a lesser mobility of an operated segment and an accelerated degeneration at adjacent discs. But almost artificial discs have not yet been reached on the substitute surgery of fusion because many problems such as those clinical success rates were not more than them of fusion have not solved. In this paper, vertically inserted assemble-screw fixture in vertebrae was proposed to improve the fixed capability of artificial disc. And also, to evaluate the design suitability of newly designed screw-type, including fixtures of commercial discs such as wedge and plate type, the 1/4 finite element model with a vertebra and various implanted fixtures were generated, and next, 3 bending motions such as flexion, bending and twisting under the moment of 10Nm and compression under the force of 1000N were considered, respectively and finally, FE analyses were performed. Results of three fixture types were compared, such as Range of Motion and maximal stress, and so on. For ROM, the screw type was average 58% less than the wedge type and was average 42% less than the plate type under all loading conditions. For average stress ratio at closer nodes between vertebra and each fixture, the wedge type was the lowest as minimum 0.02 in twisting, screw types were the highest as maximum 0.28 in compression. As the results of using cement material, it was predicted that the instability problem of the wedge type was better solved. The screw type which could be increased by implanting depth according to the number of assembling mid screws, showed that the decreased tendency of ROMs and maximal cancellous bone stresses. In further study, controlling the number of assembling screws that was suitable for a patient's bone quality, development of surgical tools and keeping on design supplementations, which will be able to develop the competitive artificial disc.

        여과매체용 (FeNiCr)_80P_20 비정질 합금의 자기적 특성과 내식성

        With the object of developing a ferromagnetic filtering media used in electromagnetic filtering process of iron & steel industries, addition effects of Cr and Ni on magnetic properties and corrosion resistance for Fe_80P_20 amorphous ribbon alloy have been investigated. In (FeCr)_80P_20 ternary alloys, the soft magnetic properties and corrosion resistance were largely enhanced upon Cr addition of about 5 at%, although considerable decrease in saturation magnetization occurred. However the corrosion rate was thought to be still high for practical use. If the Fe was substituted by some Ni to form a quarternary Fe-Ni-Cr-P alloys, decrease of the saturation magnetization was strongly suppressed. Moreover the soft magnetic properties and corrosion resistance were improved to a great extent as compared to Fe_75Cr_5P_20 amorphous alloy. For Fe_75Ni_5Cr_5P_20 amorphous alloy, the values of B_10, M_s and H_c were 6.9 kG, 110 emu/g and 0.24 Oe, respectively. The corrosion rate was measured to be very low(less than 0.2 ㎜/ yr) in 5 wt% HCl solution(room temperature) and 2 wt% NaOH solution(60℃). The good soft magnetic properties and corrosion resistance of Fe_75Ni_5Cr_5P_20 amorphous alloy were attributed to the decrease in saturation magnetostriction and more active formation of CrO_X(OH)_(3-2x)·nH_2O passive films by the combined addition of Ni and Cr.

      • 고진공내의 데칸용매하에서 브롬화 n-프로필이 피리딘 및 α-피콜린과의 착물형성에 관한 연구

        고진공 내의 용매하에서 브롬화 n-프로필의 용해도를 5, 15, 25℃에서 피리딘과 α-피콜린이 존재할때와 존재하지 않을 때의 두 경우에 대하여 각각 측정 하였다. 데칸 용매내에서 피리딘과 α-피콜린이 존재할 때 브롬화 n-프로필의 용해도가 존재하지 않을 때 보다 더 크고, α-피콜린과 브롬화 n-프로필과의 상호작용이 피리딘과의 상호작용보다 더 강하게 작용한다는 것을 알수 있었다. 그리고 피리딘과 α-피콜린이 데칸용매내에서 존재할 때 브롬화 n-프로필과 피리딘 및 α-피콜린이 각각 불안정한 complex를 형성한다고 생각되어 이 complex를 여러 경우의 비율로 가정하여 계산해 볼 결과 1 : 1 complex를 형성한다고 보는 경우의 평형상수 K값이 비교적 일정한 값을 나타내었다. 그러므로 1 : 1 complex 즉 n-??·??과 n-??·α-??이 용액속으로 형성됨을 알았다. 또한 이 complex의 생성에 대한 엔탈피, 자유에너지 및 엔트로피의 변화도 산출 하였다. The solubilities of n-propyl bromide in decane on high vacuum were measured at 5, 15℃ and 25℃ in the presence and absence of pyridine and α-picoline. When pyridine and α-picoline exist in system respectively, the solubilities of n-propyl bromide in the presence of pyridine and α-picoline are greater than in the absence, and the interaction of n-propyl bromide with α-picoline is stronger than with pyridine. In the presence of pyridine and α-picoline, it could be thought that n-propyl bromide forms unstable complex with pyridine and α-picoline. The copmlex was assumed in various ways and it was evaluated that the equilibrium constant K value was relatively constant under the assumption of 1 : 1 complex. Thus, 1:1 complexes, n-??·?? and n-??·α-??, are formed in the solution. Also, the changes of enthalpy, free energy and entropy for the formation of the complex were calculated.

        초음파로 측정한 한국 젊은 남성의 고환용적: 체질량지수와의 상관관계

        Purpose: Testicular volume is one of the important indices that represent the reproductive ability of adult males. In previous studies, however, testicular volume was measured by manual palpation or orchidometer, resulting in inaccuracy or subjectivity. Accordingly, the need for accurate data on the size of the testes is increasing, and we conducted testicular volume measurements by using scrotal ultrasonography. We investigated the relationship between testicular volume and body weight, height, and body mass index (BMI). Materials and Methods: The testicular volumes of 1,002 young adult Korean men were measured for length, width, and thickness with ultrasonography, and data on BMI were collected conventionally. The correlation between testicular volume and BMI was analyzed with one-way ANOVA and Student's t-test. Results: The mean age of the young men was 23.02±2.53 years. The mean testicular volume was 18.09±3.79 cc on the left and 18.26±3.21 cc on the right. Testicular volume was directly proportional to body weight, height, and body mass index. Conclusions: The testicular volume of Korean young adult men was about 18.17 cc. Testicular volume has a weak direct correlation with body weight, height, and body mass index.         Age-Related Stability for Artificial Disc Fixators Inserted into a Lumbar Vertebra: Finite Element Analysis

        The objective of this research was to analyze age-related stability at 20, 40, 60, and 80 years of age for two artificial disc fixators inserted into the L3 lumbar vertebra after total disc replacement (TDR) surgery. To precisely analyze the lumbar vertebra, elastic moduli of the cortex verified by load contributions between two materials were used. The stress shielding problem was solved using a p-element. For a wedge-type of Charite III and a plate-type of ProDisc L, these two models and the aging L3 lumbar were created. Decreasing disc loads applied to the aging vertebra. Based on this, load-analysis of the trabecular bone for supporting the artificial disc with fixators was performed every 20 years. The results showed as follows: 1) The ultimate loads resulting in maximal stresses and strains of the plate shape after TDR showed a reduction of about 72 and 79%, respectively, compared with healthy vertebral bodies; 2) The decreasing width of the physiological loads greatly influenced the increase and decrease of stress and strain; 3) Both fixtators were involved in low back pain and were limited to less than 800 N at 80 years old; therefore, it was predicted that continued treatment would be needed.

        대퇴부 거동 해석 및 복합재료 보철물 설계

        The nonlinear finite element program has been developed to analyze the design performance of an artificial hip prosthesis and long term behavior of a treated femur with stems made of composite material after cementless total hip arthroplasty(THA). The authors developed the three dimentional FEM models of femoral bone with designed composite stem which was taken with elliptic cross section of 816 brick elements under hip contact load and muscle farce in simulating single leg stand. Using the program, density changes, stress distributions and micromotions of the material femoral bone were evaluated by changing fiber orientation of stems for selected manufacturing method such as plate cut and bend mold. The results showed that the composite materials such as AS4/PEEK and T300/976 gave less bone resorption than the metallic material such as cobalt chrome alloy, titanium alloy and stainless steal. It was found that increasing the long term stability of the prosthesis in the femur could be obtained by selecting the appropriate ply orientation and stacking sequence of composite. 무시멘트 인공 고관절 전치환술 후, 복합재료 스템을 갖는 대퇴골의 장기 거동과 인공 대퇴 보철물의 설계 성능을 분석하기 위하여 비선형 유한요소 프로그램이 개발되었다. 한 발로 서 있을 때의 관절 접촉 하중과 근육하중이 적용되었고, 816개의 brick요소를 갖는 타원형 단면의 복합재료 스템으로 치환된 대퇴골이 3차원 유한요소로 모델링 되었다. 프로그램을 사용하여 대퇴골의 밀도 변화, 응력분포, 상대미소운동이 plate cut과 bend mold와 같은 제작 방법에 대한 스템의 적층 각도 변경에 따라서 평가되었다. 결과는 코발트 크롭 합금, 티타늄 합금, 스테인레스 강과 같은 금속 재료보다 AS4/PEEK, T300/976과 같은 복합재료가 적은 골 흡수를 보였다. 대퇴골 보철물의 장기 안정성 증대는 적당한 복합재료의 적층과 적층 각도의 선택에 의하여 얻어질 수 있었다.
