        Continously the first paper, in this paper, was studied that the valve over lap length changed by exhaust valve timing was afford to engine performance and exhaust emission by means of 'measuring the low and high indicator diagram and the exhaust emission of hydrocarbon and carbonmonoxide. The results were following. 1) Volumetric efficiency, brake horse power and indicated horse power become maximum at the place of valve over lap length nearby 30 degree. 2) Carbonmonoxide and hydrocarbon become minimum at the place of valve over lap length nearby 30 degree.

      • 4-Stroke Gasoline 機關의 點火時期에 따른 殘留排氣가 吸入混合氣에 미치는 影響

        In a four-stroke gasoline engine, the mixture gases intake through the inlet valve are changed by the condition of residual gas. The residual gas is affected by the combustion chamber, pressure of the intake gas and exhaust gas, air-fuel ratio, valve timing, ignition timing. engine r. p.m. and so forth. In this paper, it is described the condition of the residual gas, and also described the influence of the fresh mixture gas by the high temperature residual gas. And the changed quantities of the intake mixture gas by the increasing temperature has been found. Using the data which obtained by experimental measurement. the quantities of intake mixture gases are calculated. It is the results are obtained as follow. 1. The residual gases are increasing as to the advancing of the ignition time. Z The increasing temperature of intake mixture gases by the residual gases are decreasing as to the advancing of the ignition time. 3. The quantities of intake mixture gases caused by residual gases are decreasing as to advancing of the ignition time.

      • 四價金屬酸化物이 BaTiO₃의 Curie Point와 誘電率에 미치는 影響

        In order to determine the effects of additives on the Curie point and dielectric constant of BaTiO₃, a study was made of the dielectric properties of ceramics prepared from mixtures of BaTiO₃ and the oxides of the following metal (Ⅳ) elements:silicon, titanium, zirconium, cerium and thorium. Mixtures of BaTiO₃ and the oxides were prepared in 0.5 and 10 mole percentagesof oxide. The addition of oxides of the metal(Ⅳ) elements to BaTiO₃ in concentrations 10mole% markedly range the dielectric constant of ceramics prepared therefrom over the temperature range 30。 to 170℃. But on the low temperature side of the Curie point for 0.5mole% ceria and thoria the dielectric constant are very higher than for pure BaTiO₃. The addition of 10 mole% ceria tends, at all temperature, to linearize the curve.

        Barium Titanate, BaTiO₃ was prepared by a dry method in terms of the calcination technique. The effect of incorporation of V₂O?? into BaTiO₃ on dielectric properties was investigated. As the mole % of V₂O?? increases, the dielectric constant was decreased and the position of curie point was not changed, affecting little upon tan σ. Therefore, it is most likely that in utilizing the matrix of Korean Ilmenite for the preparation of titanium dioxide, TiO₂, which is a starting material for BaTiO₃, the quantity of V₂O?? present in the local Ilmenite will have little effect upon the dielectric properties. Barium Titanate having satisfactory dielectric properties for practical use was obtained by one step operation of calcining the mixture of BaCO₃ and TiO₂.

      • 스피넬상 LiMn₂O₄를 이용한 CO₂분해에 대한 수치모사

        In the batch system, the mathematical modelling was done on the CO₂ decomposition reaction using the LiMn₂O₄ catalyst of 100-120 mesh. The porosity of catalysts and the amount of adsorption were observed by the mathematical analysis. The chemical reaction was mainly reacted at the surface reaction of catalysts more than pore of catalysts. The variety of concentration and real values in the catalysts were predicted and amount of adsorption was calculated. By the mathematical analysis, the adsorption of surface was superior to that of inner face of pore. In case of the identical weight of catalysts, the rate of CO₂ decomposition was increasing by increasing CO₂ concentrations.

      • MgO첨가 Mullite질 세라믹스의 소결성의 소성온도 및 시간 의존성

        MgO-SiO₂-AI₂O₃계를 유리성분으로 하는 mullite-glass질 회로기판재료의 소결거동에 미치는 MgO첨가량의 영향과 소성온도 및 시간이 겉보기밀도와 미구조에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 소결거동은 3단계로 분류되며, 첫째 단계에서는 입자들이 재배열되며, 둘째 단계에서는 액상이 생성하여 치밀화되며, 셋째 단계에서는 과소성된다. 한편 MgO첨가량에 관계없이 1150℃에서는 소결이 진행되지 않으며, 1600℃에서는 모든 시료가 매우 빨리 과소성되었다. 1450℃에서는 MgO첨가량에 따라 소결속도가 증가하였다. 미세구조가 변하는 온도는 MgO첨가량에 따라 달라지지만 각 단계에서는 조성에 관계없이 같은 미세구조를 나타내었다. The sinterability of mullite-glass, MgO-SiO₂-AI₂O₃, added with varying amount of MgO was studied at different sintering temperature and time in air. The sinterability was studied on the basis bulk density and microstruture. The sinterability was devided into 3 stages. In the first stage, the particles were rearranged. In the second stage, the particles of the samples were dense due to the producing of glassy phase. In the third stage, all the samples were over-sintered rapidly. Sintering was not occured at all at 1150℃, and all the samples were over-sintered rapidly at 1600℃. At 1450℃ the sinterability was improved with the addition of MgO. Although the temperature which effects on the microstructure was changed according to the amount of MgO added, it was always the same microstructure in each stage regardless of the amount of MgO.

      • 티탄鐵鐄의 鹽素化反應에 關한 硏究

        The chlorination of ilmenite in the presence of activated carbon has been investigated in a horizontal silica glass tube with catalyst and non-catalyst. Results are as follows; 1. In both cases the pseudo first order kinetics on ilmenite has been observed with excess activated carbon and chlorine gas at 320∼900℃. 2. The mixture of CaCl₂-NaCl as a catalyst shows a significant effect on increase of the reaction rate. The rate constant for non-catalytic reaction is 7.4×10??(min.??) at 800℃ and that for catalytic reaction is 5.8(min.??) at 500℃. 3. The activation energies for non-catalytic and catalytic reaction are 15.6㎉/mole and 7.1㎉/mole, respectively. 4. A 99.902% TiCl₄ has been separated from the produced mixture of TiCl₄-FeCl₃ by the successive methods of leaching with n-heptane and distillation. But the product from the simple distillation has been found only 99.848% TiCl₄. 5. A further purification of TiCl₄ to 99.998% is carried out by distillation of 99.902% TiCl₄ that was mixed with antimony powder and sodium hydroxide.

      • Alchol-gasoline 混合燃料에 關한 硏究 : 機關速度 變化에 代하여 With respect to veriable engine speed

        This paper refer to variation state of brake horse power, torque, specific fuel consumption, and emission (CO, 1-IC) of 4cycle ignition engine in case of mixture fuel, according as variable engine speed. Methanol-gasoline mixture ratio were 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, The resuls are as follows ; 1. In 30o mixture fuel, brake horse power, torque, specific fuel consumption were increased. 2. Using methanol mixture fuel, carbonmonoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC) emission were reduced.

      • MgO첨가 Mullite질회로기판의 소결성

        1150, 1450, 1600.deg.C에서 MgO-SiO$_{2}$-Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$계를 유리성분으로 하는 mullite-glass질 회로기판재료의 소결거동에 미치는 MgO첨가량과 소성시간에 따른 영향을 조사하였으며 주로 소성시간이 밀도, 기공분포, 미세구조 및 생성상에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 1150.deg.C에서는 MgO의 첨가량에 관계없이 소결이 진행되지 않았으며 1450.deg.C에서는 MgO첨가량에 따라 소결속도가 증가하였다. 1600.deg.C에서는 각조성의 시료 모두가 빨리 과소성단계에 도달하였다. 1450.deg.C에서는 MgO 0.85% 첨가했을때 소성시간에 따라 기공량은 감소하는 반면 기공경은 일정하게 증가하였다. 먼저 .alpha.-SiO$_{2}$가 cristobalite로 전이한 후에 MgO와 반응하여 유리상으로 된다.

      • 압축착화 기관의 매연저감에 관한 연구(Ⅰ) : 등유·경유 혼합연료 사용에 대한 효과 The Effect for Diesel Engine using Kerosen-Diesel Fuel Blend

        The smoke concentration of diesel engine is influenced by the fuel characteristics and engine operating conditions. In this paper, the smoke concentration and the engine performance have been investigated for verious kerosen-diesel fuel blends It was found that the most effective fuel blend for smoke concentration reduction were kerosen-diesel fuel mixing ratio 20%. For the above fuel blend condition, the engine performance were improved.
