        Continusely. the former paper which has reported the results of research that the transition of the 4 cycle gasoline engine's power in altering according to change the ignition time. In this paper, intend to remark clearly that alternate factor of the engine's power alter according to change the ignition time. These alternate factor can be classified the radiant heat loss caused by cooling water and that caused by exhaust: gas and the other radiant heat loss. Likewise can calculate the radiant heat efficiency of the loss heat according as save these loss heat which depend on the experiment calculation, and intend to heat efficiency gives some influence to the indicated thermal efficiency of the engine caused by the ignition as count the indicated work and indicated thermal efficiency from these radiant heat amount and supplying heat amount. Consequently, could get fellowing conclusions systematize above mentioned results. I. Cooling efficiency caused by cling water become the minimum in the place of the optimum ignition time and if this ignition time is delayed or became fast. that cooling efficiency was increased. 2. Cacuiamble the radiant heat amount of the exhaust gas as calculate the weight of the exhaust gas, and could find that the radiant efficiency of the exhaust gas was decreased as the ignition time was became fast. 3. Calculatable the indicated thermal efficiency and find that this indicated thermal efficiency correspond with the merit of experiment and could remark clearly that the indicated thermal efficiency r; depended mutual relation of n,,, n,. Yt.

        In the four stroke gasoline engine, the temperature of the intake mixture gases in the cylinder when the suction stroke is fined, are increased caused by the higher temperature zone?ombustion chamber, piston head, and exhaust valve. In this paper, it is obtained the theoretical formula of the temperature increasing above mentioned from the charactristic equation and heat transfer equation, and described how to influence of the temperature increasing by the factor of the above formula. And described the state of the temperature increasing by the experimental methed. It is results are obtained as follow. 1) Using data which obtained by experimental measurement, the temperature increasing of the intake mixture gases are calculated by the theoretical formula. 2) The temperature increasing (4T) are decreasing as to increasing engine rpm. 3) The temperature of the intake mixture gases(T) are decreasing as to in-creasing air-fuel ratio and increasing engine rpm. 4) Because the thease temperature effect, the volumetric efficiency are increasing as to increasing air-fuel ratio and engine rpm.

        In a four stroke engine, it was function of valve over lap that to increase intake air flow by dischange of residual gas as much as possible, and that to improve engine power by increase of mean effective pressure. And valve over lap length was varied in accordance with engine type, use of engine, engine speed and so forth. And this length was variable by change of valve timing of intake and exhaust valve. In this first paper, we were studied influence that various valve over lap length by change of intake valve timing were afford to volumetric efficiency and engine performance by measure of intake air flow, fuel consumption, high and low pressure indicator diagram and engine torque. Using the data which was obained by experimental measurement, we were obtained following results. 1) Volumetric efficiency become maximum at the place of valve over lap length nearby 30 degree. 2) Engine torque become maximum at the place of valve over lap length nearby 30 degree, because it was mutual relation of indicator horse power and pump loss horse power. 3) Fuel specific consumption was increased till valve over lap length was become nearby 30 degree, and it was decreased if this length is increased. Continuously above first paper, we will study influence that various valve over lap length by change of exhaust valve timing are afford to four stroke engine.

        A part of calories which have been supplied into cylinder at the internal combustion engine has been used in effective power while the rest of them have been exhausted by exhaust loss, cooling water loss, friction loss, radiant heat loss and other loss. These loss is affected by compression ratio, engine rpm, type of combust-ion chamber and spark advance, etc. This study was derivation of theoretical formula according to cooling water loss and friction loss to the exclusion of exhaust loss and compared experimental measurement quantity with quantity calculated by above formula using measuring data. As results of study, were folowing items. 1. In this paper, we obtained a follwing theoretical formula of the quantity of heat dissipation for engine rpm. Q_? = B_(rn)^-3/2π ^-2/1T_sN_i^1.15+K_?T_4^?+L_en^2f 2. It was observed that radiant heat dissipation decrease as piston velocity increase but friction heat dissipation increase. 3. Total heat disipsation increase in accordance with increase of engine rpm and same engine rpm larger heat dissipation of experimental measu rment and calculated theoretical value.

        Continously the first paper, in this paper, was studied that the valve over lap length changed by exhaust valve timing was afford to engine performance and exhaust emission by means of 'measuring the low and high indicator diagram and the exhaust emission of hydrocarbon and carbonmonoxide. The results were following. 1) Volumetric efficiency, brake horse power and indicated horse power become maximum at the place of valve over lap length nearby 30 degree. 2) Carbonmonoxide and hydrocarbon become minimum at the place of valve over lap length nearby 30 degree.

        This paper refer to variation state of brake horse power, torque, specific fuel consumption, and emission (CO, 1-IC) of 4cycle ignition engine in case of mixture fuel, according as variable engine speed. Methanol-gasoline mixture ratio were 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, The resuls are as follows ; 1. In 30o mixture fuel, brake horse power, torque, specific fuel consumption were increased. 2. Using methanol mixture fuel, carbonmonoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC) emission were reduced.

      • 4-Stroke Gasoline 機關의 點火時期에 따른 殘留排氣가 吸入混合氣에 미치는 影響

        In a four-stroke gasoline engine, the mixture gases intake through the inlet valve are changed by the condition of residual gas. The residual gas is affected by the combustion chamber, pressure of the intake gas and exhaust gas, air-fuel ratio, valve timing, ignition timing. engine r. p.m. and so forth. In this paper, it is described the condition of the residual gas, and also described the influence of the fresh mixture gas by the high temperature residual gas. And the changed quantities of the intake mixture gas by the increasing temperature has been found. Using the data which obtained by experimental measurement. the quantities of intake mixture gases are calculated. It is the results are obtained as follow. 1. The residual gases are increasing as to the advancing of the ignition time. Z The increasing temperature of intake mixture gases by the residual gases are decreasing as to the advancing of the ignition time. 3. The quantities of intake mixture gases caused by residual gases are decreasing as to advancing of the ignition time.

        The combustion period is influenced by the intake air humidity in the 4 stroke LPG engine. In this paper, I studied performance of LPG engine with change of inlet air humidity according to the variation of ignition timing. The results obtained are as follows. 1. THe engine brake horse power increases to 92% of inlet air humidity and further increase of humidity decreases its power. 2. The HC emission decreases by increasing humidity.

      • MgO첨가 Mullite질회로기판의 소결성

        1150, 1450, 1600.deg.C에서 MgO-SiO$_{2}$-Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$계를 유리성분으로 하는 mullite-glass질 회로기판재료의 소결거동에 미치는 MgO첨가량과 소성시간에 따른 영향을 조사하였으며 주로 소성시간이 밀도, 기공분포, 미세구조 및 생성상에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 1150.deg.C에서는 MgO의 첨가량에 관계없이 소결이 진행되지 않았으며 1450.deg.C에서는 MgO첨가량에 따라 소결속도가 증가하였다. 1600.deg.C에서는 각조성의 시료 모두가 빨리 과소성단계에 도달하였다. 1450.deg.C에서는 MgO 0.85% 첨가했을때 소성시간에 따라 기공량은 감소하는 반면 기공경은 일정하게 증가하였다. 먼저 .alpha.-SiO$_{2}$가 cristobalite로 전이한 후에 MgO와 반응하여 유리상으로 된다.
