종교는 점차 국제정치 영역에서 중요한 행위자가 되었다. 그러나 여전히 국제문제를 다룸에 있어 종교의 역할은 무시되고 있다. 오늘날 세계 시민들은 군부 쿠데타와 집단적 인권유린이라는 미얀마 민주주의가 붕괴되는 것을 목도하고 있다. 과거 군부쿠데타 정권 아래서 유사한 고통을 겪은 한국인들은 미얀마의 시민저항에 공통의 감정을 느끼고 있다. 최근에 기독교교회협의회, 천주교주교회의, 불교 조계종 같은 한국의 주요종교 단체들은 미얀마의 정치적 위기에 깊은 관심을 표명하고 나아가 민주화운동에 연대를 선언하였다. 종교는 근본적으로 일국을 초월한 국제적 조직체이기에 다른 문화와 인종 간에도 공통의 연대성을 만들어낸다. 이러한 종교의 국제적 정체성은 종교 공동체들 사이에 도덕적 책임감을 가지게 한다. 이것을 함께 나눈 종교인들은 개신교인, 가톨릭, 그리고 불교 사이의 전통적 적대감을 감소시킬 뿐만 아니라 사회운동의 종교적 자원동원으로서도 작용하게 된다. 본 논문은 미얀마 민주주의 회복을 위해 한국의 종교단체들이 국경을 넘어 적극적으로 개입하는 새로운 형태의 민주주의 현상에 주목하면서 사회운동에 있어 종교의 중요성을 연구할 것이다. 자국민의 인권을 유린하는 불량국가들에 대한 인도주의적 개입이라는 새로운 민주주의를 경험하고 있는 한국 종교들은 근현대사에서 독립과 민주주의를 위해 사회 참여의 수많은 모습을 보여주었다. 종교의 사회참여는 국제정치학 분야에서 ‘신앙이 기초된 인도주의적 개입’(faith-based humanitarian intervention) 이론에 중요한 자료를 제공하고 있다. 이 연구는 한국 종교가 처음으로 국제적으로 인도주의적 개입을 하게 되는 과정을 기술한다. 종교가 민주주의 위기에서 민주화를 실현시킬 수 있는 자원동원 능력을 가지고 있는지 그리고 한 나라의 종교가 국경을 넘어 국제 정치의 갈등 해결과 인권 증진에 어떤 도움을 줄 수 있는지도 연구할 것이다.

지구윤리로서 마틴 루터 킹의 사회적 인격주의 연구

The focus in this essay is Martin Luther King's social philosophy of personalism. King’s proponents state that his social personalism still presents a strong alternative vision to the global capitalist ideology– i.e., neo-liberalism. Global capitalism can be characterized as competitive and dehumanized commodity relationships. What social vision could provide the alternative to a neo-liberal system that is destroying the nature of humanity? In personalism, King built his views of a caring God and the sanctity of every person’s life, regardless of race or class. Personalism is a philosophical approach that sees persons and personality as the keys to understanding ultimate reality. King's view of human dignity was chiefly theistic, like Boston Personalism. His greatest contribution to the philosophy of personalism was his consistent application of its principles to the social problems of his day: racism, poverty, and militarism. He integrated his personalist ideals with a democratic socialist vision. King had much to say about the dignity of personhood. He knew that people should never be treated as a means, but always an end. To him, non-violence is not a tactic but a way of life. This article will provide: 1) a brief sketch of some of the key figures and ideas in Boston Personalism, focusing on social ethics, 2) some comments on what King's own social personalism - particularly his contribution to global ethics - can bring to the treatment of contemporary issues such as democratization of the global economy and participation in geo-politics, such as war and militarism. 본 연구는 마틴 루터 킹의 사회철학인 ‘인격주의’가 지구적 자본주의 이념인 신자유주의에 대항해 여전히 유효한 사회적 비전임을 강조한다. 지구적 자본주의의 특징은 경쟁적이며 비인간화된 상품관계이다. 인간의 본질을 파괴하는 신자유주의의 체제에 대한 대안적 사회적 비전은 무엇일까? 인격주의 철학 속에서 킹은 인종과 경제적 계급에 상관없이 모든 인간을 돌보는 하느님과 인간의 거룩성의 이념을 세웠다. 인격주의는 궁극적 실재를 이해함에 있어 인간과 인격성을 핵심으로 보는 철학적 접근방법이다. 킹의 인간 존엄성에 대한 관점은 보스톤 인격주의처럼 유신론적 인격주의 입장이다. 인격주의 철학에 대한 그의 가장 큰 기여는 그의 시대의 사회적 문제들인 인종차별주의, 경제적 착취, 군사주의에 인격주의의 원칙을적용한 것이다. 그는 인격주의 사상과 민주적 사회주의의 이상을 통합하였다. 킹은 인간의 존엄성에 대해 많은 이야기를 하였는데 인간을 수단이 아니라 목적으로 대우해야 함을 역설하였다. 그에게 비폭력은 사회운동의 전술이 아니라 삶의 한 방식이었다. 이 글안에서 우선 보스톤 인격주의의 주요한 사상가와 철학들을 사회윤리학에 집중하여 정리하고, 킹의 사회인격주의를 지구윤리에 대한 기여의 측면에서 현 세계의 경제 민주화와 전쟁과 군사주의 같은 지역갈등의 문제에 대한 해결을 가져올 수 있는지 논할 것이다.

(A Study of Excavation with Berm have Influence on Stability Analysis of Steel Sheet Pile Wall) The basic earth pressure theory that depends on Rankine and Coulomb theory. The estimation of the passive earth pressure on the front of the wall, which take for sloping dredge line. In this paper the site of steel sheet pile measured that ground water lever, earth anchor load pressure, inclinometer etc. In order to modeling, analysis of wall are as follows. (1)Passive failure planes inclined at angles of (45˚ + /2). These lines are called as the slip lines. (2)Critical angle of the slip lines are soil friction angle. (3)Dredge lines adapt with over slip line of passive failureplanes. The results obtained are as follows. Coulomb theory expected to stability analysis of steel sheet pile wall with berm.

Predicting pile stresses, the compressive stresses were varied greatly in accordance with the fall and weight of ram. A wave-equation-formulated Bowles' computer program of the pile-driving process was shown to have considerable application to pile foundation as a design and instalation aid. Granvile, Nanninga, and Ohzaki' formula were compared with the values of the wave equation by Bowles. According to the results, Ohzaki' formula was shown good correlation with the computer program by Bowles.

A study was made on the probabilistic analysis of the bearing capacity factors. The great degree of uncertainty encountered in the analysis of ultimate bearing capacity of a footing suggests the use of statistical analysis and probability theory, instead of conventional deterministic approach. The internal friction angle of soil was considered as a random variable following the general beta distribution in the present study. The bearing capacity factors were calculated using the generated friction angles. The bearing capacity equation suggested by Hansen was adopted to compute the factors. The mean and variance of the bearing capacity factor were found for the given mean and coefficient of variation of the internal friction angles. A computer program was developed and several case studies were made using the developed program.

Electronic Voting System (EVS) enables shareholders to exercise voting rights via the electronic communication without physically attending to the shareholders meetings. This system will provide the minor shareholders with better chances of exercising their rights due to the elimination of obstacle of time limitation & distance. Thus, EVS will make the shareholders meeting much more active and fruitful. In addition, corporations can save much cost with respect to the proxy votes and paper ballots necessary to pass the majority votes. Shareholders also will save needy travel expenses not physically participating the meeting. EVS exists in many developed countries, such as the U.S., Japan and E.U. Under the U.S. corporate law, Delaware and many other states have adopted electronic communications of informing the shareholders meeting, remote electronic voting, electronic proxy voting and electronic virtual meetings. Japan amended the corporate law in 2001 introducing electronic informing of the shareholders meeting, electronic voting, electronic record of shareholders' decision in the meeting, etc. In addition, EU also have enacted law of electronic proxy voting, etc. Under the Korean Corporate Law, electronic informing of calling the shareholders meeting is stipulated in Section 363 (1). However, electronic voting rights has not been directly regulated according to the law yet. To adopt the EVS in Korea, statutory mandates are required as follows; the electronic way of informing the calling and notification of shareholders meeting, electronic data of related documents, shareholder's consent and confirmation for the electronic votes, electronic proxy voting, electronic voting rights and cancellation, change of the votes, the procedure and effects of them, regulation in case of blocking the electronic communication, etc.
