        학문 목적 학습자를 위한 학술적 텍스트 구성의 수사적 전략 연구

The purpose of this study is to explore and categorize the rhetorical strategies of text construction in research articles and to provide data for academic writing education for foreign graduate students. This study analyzes 30 research articles by Korean writers from Korean language and Korean language education fields, and categorizes the rhetorical strategies according to the roles of the writer as a RA form composer, a manager of research content, and a communicator. On the basis of the strategies, this study analyzes 18 term papers of foreign graduate students and inspects their weaknesses in using the rhetorical strategies. Based on the results of analysis, this study suggests rhetorical strategy education for KAP learners that emphasizes validity and clarifies argument along with attracting readers.         외국인 유학생 대상 학습자 자기 주도성 기반 읽기-토론 통합 교육의 모형 설계

        This study aims to design a class model for integrated reading and discussion education based on foreign students’ self-directed learning activities. To that end, the way for academic reading to be changed into academic speaking, especially discussion was considered and learning activities applied with metacognitive strategies were developed to compose the process for learners to plan, monitor, evaluate by themselves, into classes so that learners can be changed from active readers to independent debaters. In this study, a three-stage class model was designed so that the activities changing from reading to discussion are reinforced in stages. In stage 1, learners perform the process to understand texts, find arguments from them and search data and grounds for the arguments, and speak their opinion logically supporting the grounds for the arguments and in stage 2, learners understand texts, make arguments contrary to the arguments of the texts into propositions, and collect grounds for the arguments to make counterarguments. Finally, in stage 3, learners analyze the provided information in text and collect supplementary data to fix the topic of discussion and carry out debate based on the topic. This model can be helpful for international students to systematically understand reading passages with a perspective, tell their opinions logically, and present their knowledge as grounds for arguments self-directedly and can contribute to their successful academic performance at the university. .

        예술분야 외국인 대학원생을 위한 학술적 글쓰기 교수요목 설계 - 미술계열 학습자 수업을 중심으로

        This study aims to design the syllabus of academic writing course for foreign graduate students in Fine Arts as one of KAP curriculum for foreign graduate students. Academic writing for graduate students who should write theses has to reflect discourse characteristics of academic discourse communities of the majors as well as those of general academic genres. Therefore this study analyzes 41 master s theses in Fine Arts in order to catch thesis types and describe discourse construction. The results show that three thesis types are differentiated as the production of art work centered, the theory and criticism centered, the art and marketing integrated and each type has discourse structures of its own. As for the method of description, the writing strategies of explanation, argumentation, appreciation of art work are differentiated according to the types and the chapters of the thesis. Based on the results, the syllabus of 15 weeks academic writing course for foreign graduate students in Fine Arts is designed focusing on using discourse strategies according to thesis types and writing an article in the form of a thesis in Fine Arts. This study targets on writing for students in a specialized field and contributes to provide data for a specialized academic writing for foreign students in Fine Arts. 본 연구는 외국인 대학원생을 위한 학문목적 한국어 교육의 일환으로 예술분야중 미술계열 외국인 대학원생을 위한 학술적 글쓰기의 교수요목을 설계하는 데에목적이 있다. 학위논문을 써야 하는 대학원생을 위한 학술적 글쓰기에는 일반적인 논문 텍스트의 장르적 특성과 함께 각 전공 영역의 학술담화공동체가 공유하는 담화 특성이포함되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 미술계열 석사학위논문 41편을 분석하여논문 유형과 담화 구성을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 미술계열 학위논문들은 제작 중심 논문, 이론과 평가 중심 논문, 마케팅과 연관된 실무 관련 논문 등 세 가지 유형으로 뚜렷하게 변별되었다. 또한 서술방식을 분석한 결과, 설명적 글쓰기, 논증적 글쓰기, 감상 및 비평적 글쓰기 전략이각 유형에 따라 또한 논문을 구성하는 장별로 변별되어 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 미술계열 논문 유형별, 장르별 연습과 소논문 작성을 포함하는 15주 과정의 미술 전공 외국인 대학원생을 위한 학술적 글쓰기 수업을 설계하였다. 본 연구는 특정 전공의 학습자를 위한 특화된 학술적 글쓰기 수업연구로서 미술계열 학습자들에게 적합한 수업 구성을 위한 기초 자료로 기여할 수있다.

        학부 외국인 유학생의 다중 문식성 함양을 위한 교양 한국어 수업 설계 - 외국인 신입생을 위한 <한국 문화의 이해> 수업을 중심으로

        본 연구는 교양 한국어 과정 중 하나의 과목인 <한국 문화의 이해>의 수업 사례를 통해 대학에 진입한 외국인 신입생들을 위한 다중 문식성 함양 교육의 구현 가능성에 대해 모색하였다. 학습자들에게 적합한 다중 문식성 교육과정 설계를 위해 먼저 교양 교육, 언어교육, 외국어교육 기반의 교양 한국어 과정의 본질과 대상 학습자인 외국 인 신입생을 위한 교육의 정체성을 탐구하였다. 그리고 다중 문식성의 개념과 논의, 21세기 외국어교육 표준의 학습 역량을 이론적 배경으로 연구하였으며 <한국 문화의 이해> 수업의 중심 활동인 주제별 학습, 조별 발표, 문화 탐방 보고서, 전공 관련 조사 활동 내용을 제시하여, 이를 통해 외국어교육 표준의 학습 범주 즉 의사소통, 문화, 연 계, 비교, 공동체 범주에서의 학습역량을 구현하고자 하였음을 사례를 통해 설명하였 다. 또한 언어적 문화적 다양성이 창의력의 자원으로 사용되며, 언어와 다른 매체가 통합된 다중양식 텍스트를 해석하고 의미를 창출해 내는 것에 중점을 두는 다중 문식 성의 방향성과 그에 따른 학습 모형을 한국어문화 수업에서 반영하고자 하였음을 제 시하였다. 본 연구의 의의는 학부 외국인 유학생이 성공적인 학업 수행을 할 수 있도 록 교양 한국어 과정의 특성을 고려하여 그에 적합한 다중 문식성 함양 교육을 논의 하였다는 점에서 찾을 수 있다. This study aims to create lessons that cultivate multiliteracies in undergraduate foreign students of the General Korean Program, focusing on the “Understanding Korean Culture” lesson model. First, this study explores the characteristics and identity of the General Korean Program for foreign students from the perspectives of liberal arts education, language education, and foreign language education. Additionally, it discusses multiliteracies studies and the standards for foreign language learning to discover how to design lessons that cultivate multiliteracies appropriate for foreign undergraduate freshmen. Second, this study provides a lesson model, “Understanding Korean Culture” that includes activities for theme- based instruction, team presentations, culture exploration reports, and major research activities. Furthermore, it is demonstrated how these activities implement the core competencies of the Five Cs (Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, Communities) within the standards for foreign language learning. The lesson also reflects a multiliteracies framework. This study has significance for the planning of multiliteracies- oriented lessons, which assist foreign students in succeeding academically in Korea.

        보조사 ‘-(이)라도’의 의미와 분포적 특성-‘-(이)나’와 ‘-(이)나마’와의 비교를 중심으로

        The aim of this study is to classify the meanings of auxiliary particle ‘(i)rado’ according to the substitution for ‘(i)na’ and ‘(i)nama’, and to show the properties of distribution of ‘(i)rado’ by examining preceding elements and modality of predicates which combine with ‘(i)rado’ on the basis of corpus. The criterion set to classify the meanings of ‘(i)rado’ is whether ‘(i)na’ and(or) ‘(i)nama’ can substitute for ‘(i)rado’ or not. ‘(i)na’ and ‘(i)nama’ are known as synonymous relation particles, but in some cases, they can substitute for ‘(i)rado’ and in other cases, they can’t. Therefore, the substitution can be a criterion to classify the meanings of ‘(i)rado’. Along with it, the properties of distribution of ‘(i)rado’ are examined. As a result, six meanings of ‘(i)rado’ are classified as ‘passive choice, degree, yield, to be fortunate, emphasis, not to choose particularly’. By examining the distribution of ‘(i)rado’ on the basis of corpus, ‘(i)rado’ is closely related with modality of predicates meaning to ‘obligation, hope, condition’ and the simile expressions.         연구 논문과 연구 발표 도입부의 수사 구조 분석

        This paper reports an analysis of introductions of two related genres, the research article and the conference presentation from a rhetorical perspective. In this paper, 25RAs and 25CPs from Korean language and Korean language education fields are analysed to describe the rhetorical structures. Both the RA and CP introductions have the same communicative purpose to persuade their academic discourse communities and the similar rhetorical movement from the general research context towards the specific goal in order to provide persuasive justification for the work. However, the result of the move analysis of them shows that each genre has markedly different rhetorical structures. RA introductions are objectively and logically structured to capture relevance by an abstracted, calculated persona, while CP introductions are constructed in an interpersonal context to build up a feeling of solidarity with the audience by a real person as a researcher. The result of this study is expected to have implications for the teaching of academic discourse to novice researchers and non-native speakers of Korean.

        한국어 글쓰기 수업 및 평가 실태와 교사 인식 조사 - 대학 부설 한국어교육기관을 대상으로 -

        The purpose of this study is to find out the actual conditions of current Korean writing classes and assessments and to show the perception of teachers about Korean writing education in the universities’ Korean language institutes in Korea. Data were collected through questionnaire surveys and analyzed, the subjects were 101 Korean teachers work at 10 university language institutes in Seoul. The findings are as follows. 10 KLIs(Korean Language Institutes) have similar systems and activities in writing classes and assessments and they focus on accuracy rather than organizing or rhetorics in composition. All teachers recognize writing classes and assessments are needed despite the burden of feedback, and they think the important and urgent thing KLIs have to do is to systemize writing classes in curricula. Based on these results, practical studies are required to contribute to systemizing writing curriculum and reinforcing teachers’ expertise of writing education. (Hongik University)

        고급 한국어 학습자를 위한 신문기사 발표 담화 구성 전략

        This study aims to suggest the strategies of constructing discourse of oral presentations about newspaper articles and to show how to organize discourse rhetorically for successful communication in Korean learners class. The discourse of an oral presentation is reframed by paraphrasing the original newspaper article content in the interpersonal context and it requires the strategies of its own to deliver messages to audience. The strategies are suggested in two aspects of ‘information adjustment strategy’ and ‘audience attracting strategy’. A model oral presentation about a newspaper article based on these strategies by an expert of Korean native speaker was given in advanced Korean class and after the presentation, a survey on communicability was conducted to audience and it showed that the strategies were effective to help audience grasp message clearly. Next, 3 advanced Korean learners learned how to construct discourse using the strategies by the expert and gave oral presentations about newspaper articles based on the strategies in advanced Korean class. After the presentations, surveys on communicability were also conducted to audience and the result of surveys showed that the strategies of discourse construction were effective on communicability.         학술발표 담화에서 화자의 관점 선택의 효과 -화자, 청자, 화제 중심 발언을 대상으로-

        The aim of this study is to analyse the employment of the perspective of the speaker in the discourse of conference presentations and to discuss the rhetorical effect of perspectivization. The investigation is based on data from 30CPs in the field of Korean language and it focuses on subject pronouns and verbs the speaker uses. ``I`` perspective is the most frequent in the CP corpus and it enables the speaker to project a rhetorical identity based on the attributes of a real person who expresses a direct personal involvement, taking full responsibility and it makes the audience identify with the speaker in the research process. ``You`` perspective enables the speaker to express politeness to the audience and to attract the attention of the audience. ``We`` perspective enables the speaker to show solidarity with the audience. Impersonal subject makes the audience focus on the topic itself and highlights objectivity of the research. Therefore the employment of the perspective can be one of rhetorical devices to contribute to create speaker-audience interaction in conference presentations.
