Jeju Island is formed by lava flow streams with the Mt. Halla in the center. The Mt. Halla`s crater or other parasitic volcano produced lava flows creating lava plateau in this area. There are one thousand volcano caves in the world, and 50% of them are located in the west coast of United States. There are 186 volcano caves in Italy, 100 in Mt. Fuji, Japan, and 70 in Jeju Island. Jeju Island`s east-west axis four sides are world-renown volcano zones with basalt strata that feature low viscosity and fluidity.

Relative position estimation between body segments is one essential process for inertial sensor-based human motion analysis. Conventionally, the relative position was calculated through a constant segment to joint (S2J) vector and the orientation of the segment, assuming that the segment was rigid. However, the S2J vector is deformed by soft tissue artifact (STA) of the segment. In a previous study, in order to handle the above problem, Lee and Lee proposed the relative position estimation method using time-varying S2J vectors based on inertial sensor signals. Here, time-varying S2J vectors were determined through the joint flexion angle using regression. However, it was not appropriate to consider only the flexion angle as a deformation-related variable. In addition, regression has limitations in considering complex joint motion. This paper proposed artificial neural network models to compensate for the STA by considering all three-axis motion of the joint. A verification test was conducted for lower body segments. Experimental results showed that the proposed method was superior to the previous method. For pelvis-to-foot relative position estimation, averaged root mean squared error of the previous method was 17.38 mm, while that of the proposed method was 12.71 mm.

Background: Muscle activities of gluteus maximus (GM) and hamstring (HAM) have im-portant roles in the stability and mobility of the hip joint during various functional activities including bridge and prone hip extension exercises. Objects: The purpose of this study is to investigate muscle activities of GM, multifidus (MF) and HAM during three different bridge exercises in healthy individuals. Methods: Twenty healthy subjects were participated. Electromyography device was used to measure muscle activities of GM, MF and HAM. Each subject was asked to perform three dif-ferent bridge exercises with hip abduction (0°, 15°, 30°) in random order. One-way repeated measures analysis of the variance and a Bonferroni post hoc test were used. Statistical signifi-cance was set at α = 0.01. Results: The muscle activity of GM was significantly different among three conditions (hip abduction 0°, 15°, 30°) (adjusted p-value [Padj] < 0.01). The muscle activity of GM was sig-nificantly greater during bridge exercise with hip abduction 30° compared to 0° and 15° (Padj < 0.01). There was no significant difference in the muscle activity of MF and HAM muscle (Padj > 0.01). The ratio of muscle activity (ratio = GM/HAM) during bridge exercise with hip abduction 30° was significant greater compared to the hip abduction angles 0° and 15° (Padj < 0.01). Conclusion: Bridge exercise with hip abduction 30° can be recommended to selectively facili-tate the muscle activity of GM and improve the ratio of muscle activity between GM and HAM.

FTA를 비롯하여 급속하게 진행된 산업 및 경영환경의 세계화는 국내 중소기업들의 글로벌 기술사업화를 위한 좋은 기회이지만 국내 중소기업의 기술 사업화 노력들이 성과로 이어지고 있는지 불투명하다. 본 연구에서는 중소기업의 글로벌 기술 사업화를 위해 글로벌 기술 사업화에 대한 개념 정리하고 해외 권역별(중국, 일본, 동남아, 유럽)로 현재 진출 하거나 진출을 희망하는 기업들을 대상으로 설문조사와 요인분석을 통해 중요요인을 실증적으로 도출하고 해당 기업들을 클러스터링 기법을 이용하여 구분하였다. 이를 기반으로 하여 경영자의 글로벌 마인드 고취 관련 전략, 기업역량·희망진출 권역별 맞춤형 지원전략 및 중소기업의 글로벌 생태계 역량강화전략을 제안한다. The rapidity at which industrial and business management environment has become globalized, including the FTA, has provided valuable opportunities for domestic small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to obtain global technological business. However, it is unclear whether or not the SMEs` attempt to advance global technological business is producing fruitful results. This study begins with defining global technological business and the efforts of SMEs to develop them and proceeds to discuss survey results that asked the reasoning behind SMEs that entered or wish to enter foreign spheres (China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Europe) of businesses, and also perform factorial analysis to obtain substantiation. The study classified the relevant SMEs using clustering method. Based on the results, the study makes recommendations to executives in instilling global-minded strategies, on customized support strategies depending on the SME`s capability and its intended foreign entry sphere, and on strengthening the SME`s competence on the global scale.
