In this paper, static and oscillatory instability of a nanotube conveying fluid and modeled as a thin-walled beam is investigated. Analytically nonlocal effect, effects of boundary conditions, transverse shear and rotary inertia are incorporated in this study. The governing equations and boundary conditions are derived through Hamilton's principle. Numerical analysis is performed by using extended Galerkin method which enables us to obtain more accurate results compared with conventional Galerkin method. Variations of critical flow velocity of carbon nanopipes with two different boundary conditions based on the analytically nonlocal theory and partially nonlocal theory are investigated and pertinent conclusions are outlined.

In this paper, static and oscillatory loss of stability of carbon nanotube conveying fluid and modelled as a thin-walled beam is investigated. Analytically nonlocal effect, transverse shear and rotary inertia are incorporated in this study. The governing equations and the boundary conditions are derived through Hamiltons principle. Numerical analysis is performed by using extend Galerkin method which enables us to obtain more exact solutions compared with conventional Galerkin method. Variations of critical flow velocity for analytically nonlocal effect, partially nonlocal effect and local effect of carbon nanopipes are investigated and pertinent conclusion is outlined.
네트워크 기반에서 영상 저장 장치의 그래픽유저인터페이스(GUI) 디자인에 관한 연구

본 연구는 스텐다드 얼론타입(Stand-Alone Type)의 영상 저장장치에 인터넷 프로토콜(IP)을 기반으로 한 네트워크 카메라의 영상을 저장하는 네트워크 영상 저장장치 NVR(Network Video Recorder)의 사용자화면 지유아이(GUI) 디자인 개발연구 사례이다. 지금까지의 영상 저장장치는 아날로그 영상을 디지털 방식으로 변환·압축해 저장하는 네트워크 영상 저장장치가 이었지만 앞으로는 네트워크 카메라를 통해 디지털 영상을 그대로 저장하는 네트워크 영상 저장장치로 발전 변화하는 추세에 있다. 또한 영상 압축 방식도 기존의 MPEG-4, MJPEG 방식에서 H.264 방식으로 발전함에 따라 영상압축효율, 데이터 크기의 최소화 등 네트워크와의 호환성 등이 좋아지고있다. 이에 따라 2011년에는 전 세계 네트워크 카메라 판매 비율이 아날로그 카메라를 추월할 것으로 예상하고있다. 이러한 기술 환경 변화에 품질의 기능구현과 신뢰성확보를 중심으로 개발되고 판매되었던 DVR은 사용성과 심미성에 대해 시장의 요구를 수용할 수밖에 없는 상황이 되어 지금까지 개발자 중심으로 설계되었던 사용자 화면 지유아이는 새로운 방향에 대하여 다양한 디자인 연구가 되어 지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 새로운 타입의 사용자 화면 지유아이 디자인에 대한 소비자 반응 조사를 실시하여 디자인 개발에 요구되는 요소들과 디자인의 사용자 요구를 도출하고 사용자 중심의 디자인을 설정하여 문헌과 시장조사를 통해 사용성과 선호하는 이미지를 분석하였다. 이러한 과정을 거쳐 사용자 화면의 지유아이가 가져야 할 메타포(Metaphor)적 요소들을 추출하여 디자인에 반영하였다. 또한 급속히 변해가는 영상보안시장에서 네트워크 영상저장장치를 수출시 중요한 USP(Unique Selling Proposition)인 사용자화면 지유아이 디자인의 우위성을 확보함으로서 영상녹화에 대한 전문 기술력을 한 단계 발전하기 위하여 전략과 과정을 소개하고 그 시사점을 논하고자 한다. This study is on the development of GUI design on the free standing type DVR IP NVR(Network Video Recorder). The NVP converts and compresses analogue images to digital images and saves to DVR, but with the improving technology through networking cameras, digital imaging are starting to be delivered directly to the NVR. Also the video compressing type is moving from MPEG-4 and MPEG type to H.264 type which minimizes data size and has reliable compatibility with the networking system. Therefore, it is predicted that the sales rate of network cameras will overtake the analogue cameras by 2011. DVR was developed focusing mainly on the technology and credibilty level but as the technological environment changes it has become hard to ignore the usability and aesthetic qualities the consumers are requiring. This is the reason why finding a new way in developing the GUI design of DVR is becoming active. This study carries out a survey in order to find out the consumers reaction on a new user screen GUI design, and was able to derive the factors and design elements required in the design process. Literature review and market research of the actual consumers was proceeded, and their preferred image concept was analyzed. Through this process, metaphoric elements were extracted and applied to the user screen GUI design. Further more, with the growing market of image security, the exporting of NVP with a GUI designed user screen as a USP(Unique Selling proposition) will be a great advantage. A strategy and process is put forth in order to strengthen the professional technology of video recording, and the implications are discussed.

The equations of motion for composite plates incorporating magneto-thermo-elastic effects have been derived via Hamilton’s principle. In order to get the insight into the implications of a number of geometrical and physical features of the system, the vibrational responses of finite composite rectangular plates immersed in a transversal magnetic field are investigated by applying the extended Galerkin method. The vibration response characteristics of a composite plate are exploited in connection with the magnetic field intensity, thermal load, and electric conductivity of fibrous composite materials. Some pertinent conclusions, which highlight the various effects induced by the magneto-thermo-elastic couplings, are outlined.

In this paper, vibration and flow-induced flutter instability analysis of cantilever multiwall carbon nanotubes conveying fluid and modelled as a thin-walled beam is investigated. Non-classical effects of transverse shear and rotary inertia are incorporated in this study. The governing equations and the associated boundary conditions are derived through Hamiltons principle. Numerical analysis is performed by using extend Galerkin method which enables us to obtain more exact solutions compared with conventional Galerkin method. Cantilevered carbon nanotubes are damped with decaying amplitude for flow velocity below a certain critical value, however, beyond this critical flow velocity, flutter instability may occur. Variations of critical flow velocity with both radius ratio and length of carbon nanotubes are investigated and pertinent conclusion is outlined.
