        도로(道路) 선형개선(線形改善)의 Performance 분석기법(分析技法)에 관한 연구(硏究)

        본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 도로기하구조(道路幾何構造) 개량(改良)이 발생(發生)하게 될 performance 분석(分析) 모형(模型)을 최근(最近) 기법(技法)을 통하여 개발(開發)하였고 그 절차상(節次上)의 산정(算定) 과정(過程)을 전산화(電算化)하여 GUCAM(Geometric-specific User Cost Analysis Moded)을 개발(開發)하였다. GUCAM과 HIAP 모형간(模型間)의 비교(比較)를 위하여 지방부(地方部) 2차선도로(車線道路)를 4차선도로(車線道路)로 확장하는 현장(現場) 자료(資料)를 입력(入力)하였다. 그 결과(結果) GUCAM이 도로(道路)의 기하구조개량(幾何構造改良)에 보다 실제적(實際的)이고 민감하게 반응(反應)하는 것으로 나타났으며 그 이유는 도로(道路)의 평면곡선(平面曲線)과 구배를 반영하는 절차(節次) 개선(改善)하였기 때문인 것으로 판단되었다. 향후의 과제(課題)로는 GUCAM이 아직도 한 평면곡선(平面曲線)이나 구배의 개량(改良)을 충분히 고려하지 못하고 있는 점을 생각하여 이에 대한 보다 정확(正確)한 performance 분석(分析)에 관한 연구(硏究)가 될 것이다. The state-of-art knowledge of highway performance analysis model was developed in this research and a computerized process named GUCAM(Geometric-specific User Cost Analysis Model) was established to facilitate the computational procedure. A comparison of GUCAM was made to HIAP program using a case study of widening two-lane rural highway into four-lane rural. The comparison indicated that GUCAM was more realistic and sensitive to the highway geometric features by virtue of the new methodology for the distribution of highway curves and grades. However, the model still remains insensitive to improvements at isolated locations such as specific grades or curves. Further research is required to straighten out this problem.

        차량 주행속도를 반영한 도로 평면선형설계 기법 연구

        At present engineers use the highway design speed concept to develop the horizontal alignment. This concept has a strength of attaining consistent horizontal alignments because of its use of a single speed value. Yet it shows a critical weakness that when opened the operating speed for the vehicles on the road can be a lot different than the design speed. To resolve this, many countries already develop the horizontal alignment by adopting procedures that weigh vehicle operating speeds, and this research joins them by developing an operating speed based horizontal alignment design. We have collected vehicle speed samples over the nation, selected some speed influential design elements by doing a statistical analysis, provided a set of models for two-lane roads and four lane roads, and showed a stepwise feedback procedure by doing a case study. It is underscored that in the case study the proposed procedure has scaled down the speed inconsistency problem, and we are of opinion that our procedure would coin both investment efficiency and speed consistency in future highway projects. 현재 우리나라에서 도로 평면선형 설계를 위해 도로설계속도 개념을 사용하고 있다. 도로설계속도 개념은 단 한 개 도로 설계속도를 사용하기 때문에 도로 기하구조 수준이 일정해진다는 강점을 갖고 있으나, 도로 건설 후 그 도로를 주행하는 실제 차량 속도가 설계속도와 달리 나타날 수 있다는 약점을 갖고 있기도 하다. 본 연구에서는 이 약점을 보완하기 위해, 이미 여러 나라에서 사용 중인 주행속도 예측모형에 근거한 평면 선형설계기법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 우리나라 전역에서 표본을 선택하여 차량 속도조사를 수행했고, 속도에 영향을 미치는 도로설계요소를 통계분석을 통해 선정하여 양방향 2차로와 4차로 일반국도에 대한 차량 주행속도 모형을 제시했으며, 그 모형을 도로 평면선형설계에 적용하는 과정을 제시했다. 한편 새로운 기법에 대한 유효성을 밝히기 위한 실제 사례분석에서 새로운 기법은 기존 기법이 갖고 있는 약점을 해소하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 향후 우리나라 도로 건설 사업에서 본 연구에서 제안한 평면선형 설계기법을 적용하면 도로 투자 효율성이 높아지고, 더 높은 설계일관성을 확보할 수 있을 것으로 판단한다.

        주행속도와 기하구조에 따른 운전자 불안뇌파 분석 -고속주행시를 중심으로-

        For establishing a standard of design element of the smart highway, this study investigated driver`s anxiety EEG according to running speeds and geometric designs. Also, the experiment was implemented on 60 subjects. Based on running speed data and brainwave data, which were obtained from the experiment, this study analyzes anxiety EEG according to running speeds and geometric designs, and finally draws a forecasting model of anxiety EEG by selecting affecting factors of anxiety EEG. Forecasting model shows that left curve is the most influential on anxiety EEG figure. The reason is because when driver is driving on the first-lane, his or her visibility is impeded by a median strip. For this reason, anxiety EEG figure increases. And also steep downward slope and large radius of curve are heavily influential on driver`s anxiety EEG figure. It is judged that anxiety EEG figure is increased by high speed on those section. Thus, the forecasting model of anxiety EEG suggested on this study will be utilized for design phase, and will decide the design speed on the superhighway. So, it will be used to make practical and safety road

      • 高速道路 엇갈림구간 交通流 分析 模型의 比較硏究

        Weaving area is formed on any highway facility when a merge is closely followed by a diverge. It seems that weaving area could be a bottleneck highway networks. There are four methodologies as to the flow analysis of weaving areas including Fazio, HCM, LEISCH and JHK. In order to compare field surveyed speed data to ones developed by above four methods on highway weaving sections, it considered appropriate to use chi-squre test and root mean squre methods. Conclusively, Fazio's methodology was chosen as an optimal flow analysis model for weaving areas based on the field of investgation the estimation of average travel speed on highway weaving area obtained in the HANNNAM interchange.

      • 미국의 도로표지연구 및 우리나라 도로표지체계 개선방안 도출

        The most important function of the traffic system is to provide drivers with proper information in a clear and simple manner. This process can be done when a traffic sign is conspicuous and easy to understand, and two problem of letter legibility and communication are closely interconnected. Korean traffic sign system is now based on direct description of site names. However, the current system has the deficiency of too many letters in a sign which often makes drivers difficult to understand and requires prolonged time in reading during fast moving drivers on the roads. Also the current system seems has the limitation of letter crowdedness and inefficient sign communicativeness. This research pinpoints the problem of current traffic sign system which is described in the above and attempts to resolve comparing with the one applied in the united States. Improvement methodology of 'word based traffic sign system' were introduced and the two types were put into more detailed analyses including legibility check, perception-recognizance, and user-friendlieness. The analyses revealed that the word based traffic sign system performed better than the current sign system and users would be more comfortable when in the point of deciding the correct travel path, mainly because the word system seemed provide one more opportunity of checking the exit number prior to turn manuevers at interchanges.
