By developing a computer simulation code for discharge excited KrF excimer laser, we analyzed mainly the effects of buffer gas for the $KrF^*$ formation. the $KrF^*$ relaxation. and the absorption of the laser radiation. The $KrF^*$ formation efficiency were found to be 7.5%, 19% and the $KrF^*$ relaxation kinetic reactions were found to be 45%, 30% at the charging voltage of 30 KV and He. Ne buffer gas. respectively. But the absorption of the 248 nm laser radiation were less than 10% by the buffer gas.er gas. 방전여기 방식의 KrF 엑사이머 레이저의 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 개발하여 방전 중의 $KrF^*$ 형성, 탈여기 및 흡수반응 등에 대한 완충가스의 영향에 관해 해석하였다. He 가스와 Ne 가스의 경우 $KrF^*$ 생성효율은 각각 7.5%, 19%였으며, $KrF^*$ 탈여기는 충전전압 30kV에서 각각 45, 30%의 비율을 차지하였다. 그러나 흡수과정에서는 완충가스의 영향이 10% 이하였다.

A thermally actuated micro-relay using a mercury-contact has been designed and fabricated. The mercury actuation was achieved by externally pressurized nitrogen, and the mercury-contact was moved by actuation pressure of 110torr in the 100μm-wide microchannel. The injection pressure of mercury was 300torr in the 60μm-wide microchannel of the micro relay structure.

Amplification characteristics of a discharge excited krF laser with UV-preionized were investigated. The synchronization of the amplifier system has been performed by using a Metglas 2605S-2 magnetic switch. The power gain(Iout/Iin) of a single pass amplifier system were 20,7 respectively. Also, we have constructed a one dimensional propagation amplifier model which considers the gain depletion and the saturated absorption spatially and temporally in the amplifying medium. As a result of this study, the small signal gain and absorption coefficient are 4.2%/㎝, 0.47%/㎝ for input intensity from 0.05MW/㎠ to 0.5 MW/㎠ respectively.
