구동방식에 따른 승용차 엔진룸 화재조사 기법에 관한 사례 연구

The fire outbreaking origin of vehicle fire would be classified into two positions such as engine room and passenger room of vehicle. As a firewall is installed between engine room and passenger room, in case of engine fire, it could be assumed that it takes about 10 to 15 minutes for the fire to spread into passenger room There are two different vehicle engine layouts such as transversal and lateral layout, and the fire spreading process and resulting damage patterns on left and right side dash-panel are different depending on the engine layouts. In accordance, the first thing to do for correct and speedy finding of the fire origin place is considered to be an investigation into the dash-panel damage in case of engine room fire investigation. 차량화재의 발화지점은 크게 엔진룸과 승객실로 볼 수 있다. 엔진룸에서 발생된 차량화재의 경우 방화벽이 엔진룸과 승객실 사이에 설치되어 있으므로 승객실로 전이는 약 10~15분 정도로 지연되는 것이 일반적이다. 엔진룸은 그 차량의 구동 방식에 따라 종치형과 횡치형으로 배열되는데 이들 엔진 배열에 따라 화염이 전이되는 과정이 각각 다르게 나타나고 좌우 대시 패널에 나타난 소손정도 또한 다르게 나타난다. 따라서 엔진룸에서 발생된 차량 화재 감식시 좌우 대시패널의 소손정도를 먼저 파악하는 것이 발화지점을 빠르게 찾는 방법인 것으로 사료된다.

국보 1호인 숭례문 화재는 화재조사자뿐만 아니라 국민들에게 크나큰 아픔을 안겨 주었다. 이 연구의 목적은 현장조사를 통하여 목조 문화재 화재 시 생성되는 연소패턴과 목재 마루바닥에 인화성 물질을 살포 후 착화하였을 때 나타나는 촉진제에 의한 연소 흔적 등을 확인하는데 있다. 또한 이 연구결과는 유사한 화재 발생 시 화재조사요원에게 정확한 화재 원인을 감식할 수 있는 자료가 될 것이다. The fire of Sungnyemun, National Treasure of No.1, gave to the Korean people and fire investigators big pains. The aim of this study are the identification of combustion traces and fire patterns of wooden building fire, burned with an accelerator, after spraying flammable materials on the wooden floor through the field study observation. Also, in the case of the similar fire, these results will be as good references to fire investigators for accurate investigations.

This paper describes electrical fire on residential environment such as apartment and detached house caused by defect of interior wiring. We carried out experimental study on short circuit characteristics by the interior wiring length We were measured arc current, arc energy and interrupting time of earth leakage current circuit breaker(ELB), when an interior wiring break out short circuit in residential environment. From the experiment results, the longer of the interior wiring, the magnitude of arc current decreased and the interrupting time of ELB increased. When applied the A maker`s ELB, the strength of arc current and interrupting time of ELB was 254 A and 245 ins respectively at 30 m interior wiring length, In 3 m interior wiring length, arc current and interrupting time was 716 A and 4.24 ins respectively. Arc energy was dependent on the magnitude of arc current and the interrupting time of ELB, the longer the interrupting time, arc energy increasing. In this paper, minimum arc energy was 277 J using C maker`s ELB and 3 m interior wiring length (arc current 283 A, interrupting time of breaker 6.28 ms). Therefore in the residential environment, short circuit caused by defect of the interior wiring lead to electrical fire.
