옥수수 종자에서 검출된 Fusarium moniliforme 와 그 병리학적 중요성

Seven seed samples of corn obtained from Kangweon Provincial Office of Rural Development, Kerea were tested for seed-borne fungi, and found that all the samples tested were infected with Fusarium moniliforme to an extent of 6.0∼79.5%. Severely infected seed samples showed poor germination on blotter. Seed component plating showed that the fungus present not only in tip caps, pericarps and endosperms, but also in embryos. Heavy infection of the fungus caused severe seed rot and seedling blight in soil, but the damage was not severe and many plants grew without any symptoms when the seeds with light infection were sown in soil. However the fungus was frequently detected from inside of the stems of healthy looking seedlings. The results indicate that the fungus transmit from seed to plant systemically. In inoculation experiments, the fungus produced stem rots on corn plants of 110 days old. The cultivar of Hwangok 3 was revealed more susceptible to the fungus than that of Suweon 19.

The tibial condylar fracture is a fracture of the proximal end of the tibia, involving as they do weight-bearing articular surfaces and frequently accompanied by soft tissue injuries and menisci present a variety of problems in the treatment and prognosis. We performed reduction of the depressed articular fragment under mornitoring of arthroscopy and under the control of image intensifier and fixed with cannulated cancellous screws and accompanied by bone graft in 7 cases of the 11cases. The results were satisfactory. Arthroscopy bridges the advantage of accurate reduction and rigid fixation without extensive operative exposure. In addition, arthroscopy allows through lavage, removal of loose fragment and accurate diagnosis of associated intraarticular pathology. Since extensive exposure is avoided, rapid recovery with reduced pain and early full ROM are achieved in patients managed arthroscopically.

The Ni-base superalloy GTD111 DS is used in the first stage blade of high power land-based gas turbines. Advanced repair technologies of the blade have been introduced to the gas turbine industry over recent years. The effect of the filler metal powder on Transient Liquid Phase bonding phenomenon and tensile mechanical properties was investigated on the GTD111 DS superalloy. At the filler metal powder N series, the base metal powders fully melted at the initial time and a large amount of the base metal near the bonded interlayer was dissolved by liquid inter metal. Liquid filler metal powder was eliminated by isothermal solidification which was controlled by the diffusion of B into the base metal. The solids in the bonded interlayer grew from the base metal near the bonded interlayer inward the insert metal during the isothermal solidification. The bond strength of N series filler metal powder was over 1000 MPa. and ${\gamma}'$ phase size of N series TLP bonded region was similar with base metal by influence of Ti, Al elements. At the insert metal powder M series, the Si element fluidity of the filler metal was good but microstructure irregularity on bonded region because of excessive Si element. Nuclear of solids formed not only from the base metal near the bonded interlayer but also from the remained filler metal powder in the bonded interlayer. When the isothermal solidification was finished, the content of the elements in the boned interlayer was approximately equal to that of the base metal. But boride and silicide formed in the base metal near the bonded interlayer. And these boride decreased with the increasing of holding time. The bond strength of M series filler metal powder was about 400 MPa.
석탄계 핏치로 부터 탄소/탄소 복합재를 제조하는 공정중 가압탄화의 효과

석탄계 핏치의 열처리 온도 및 압력에 따른 결정화도와 기공도 그리고 산화저항성 등을 관찰하였으며, hexagonal type 4D 탄소/탄소 복합재를 석탄계 핏치로 가압함침 및 탄화시킨 다음 가해준 압력이 고밀도화에 미치는 영향을 관찰하였다. 석탄계 핏치의 가압탄화 압력이 흑연화도에 크게 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 기공면적비에 있어서는 압력을 600bar로 상승시켜 줌으로써 상압 처리한 경우 보다 1.5배 정도 감소 하였다. $650^{\circ}C$까지 열처리하여 얻은 코우크스의 산화반응 개시온도는 처리압력이 증가함에 따라서 지연되었다. 탄소/탄소 복합재의 함침압력을 100bar에서 600bar로 상승시켜 줄 경우 밀도 증가율이 크게 향상 되었으며 기공도는 감소하였다.

Purpose: Recently, there are many good reports on the arthroscopic management of tibial condylar fractures. But, it may be appropriate for selected tibial condylar fractures and also needs a skilled technique. So we report the results of the tibial condylar fractures treated by the arthroscopy and limited percutaneous fixation or the arthroscopic-assisted management with conventional internal fixation without arthrotomy. Materials and Methods: From June 1996 to December 1997, we treated 22 cases of the tibial condylar fractures including relatively comminuted one and analysed the results of patients who have been observed at least 1 year with Porter's knee evaluation criteria. Results: In 18 out of 22 cases, the results were $quot;Acceptable$quot; on symptoms(excellent 3, good 15, fair 4), in 18, on function(excellent 10, good 8, fair 3), in 21, on appearance(excellent 12, good 9, fair 1) and in 20, on radiographic appearance(excellent 11, good 9, fair 2). Overall results were $quot;Acceptable$quot; in 18 cases(82%) and $quot;Unacceptable$quot; in 4 cases(18%). Conclusion: The arthroscopic-assisted management with conventional internal fixation without arthrotomy can be the recommendable treatment for the tibial condylar fractures, including relatively comminuted one, without complications.
