Communication Based Train Control System supports the easy maintenance & management and also have the capability to send more informations than the existing one but is less expensive. Tolerance against fault/failure and reliable data transmission are very important issues with this system since it has the responsibility of man"s safety. In this paper, we suggested the schemes to support the reliable transmission quality and fault safety. Also we verified through simulation.

Communication line used in the rail-road have different use from subscriber line in the public telecommunication. But, when an existing communication equipment is replaced, by applying new high-speed transfer technology, we can anticipate the increase of transmission rate and decrease of waiting time according to high-speed of communication line, cost reduction of infrastructure construction and maintenance/repair according to centralization of communication line and transmission equipment. In this study, the transmission scheme of several xDSL(Digital Subscriber Line) modems were compared and analyzed. The way of applying xDSL modem to the metal cable which is used in the JR(Japan Railroad) is analyzed, In addition, the result tested in railroad communication line was reviewed.

It is necessary to have a maintenance of track and its equipment for safety and s the railroad transportation. In the paper, we examine the safety problems, protecti and composition of protection system for safety within the track which RTRI develo system consists of a mobile business tool carried by each worker, a terminal of t platform temporarily installed in the maintenance car, a connector attached to signalling system and a central administrative device installed at the control cen used independently to detect positions of workers and maintenance cars. Each m correctly grasp the geometrical relations with other workers cars and other objects conditions based on the state information exchanged between the machines by the control protocol, the track occupancy monitor information broadcast by th administrative device and the line information. The protection system executes its f this basic structure.
등온완화전류분석법과 케이블큐어를 이용한 전력케이블 유지보수 효율화

This paper proposes IRC(Isothermal Relaxation Current)measurement to detect insulation degradation of power cable in electric railway. Test results show that Megger measurement cannot detect the insulation degradation of power cable by void or watertree, but IRC measurement is able to detect the insulation degradation. An application guide for insulation enforcement using cable cure based on IRC measurement is proposed, too. It is proposed that cable cure is effective when the aging factor from IRC measurement is greater than 2.3, and the cost will be saved by 60~70% compared to construction of new power cable.
