This paper presents study results of the long-term behavior of the beams with recycled aggregate in transfer ratio under sustained loading. In this experimental program, three beams with replacement level were tested flexural performance after sustained loading for 1 year. The beam were designed with net span of 2,000㎜ and rectangular cross-section of 170㎜ width and 170㎜ effective depth. The experimental flexural test results showed that reinforce concrete beams with recycled aggregate(water absorption : 1.86~3.64%) were about similar flexural performance with natural aggregate concrete beam.

상전이물질(PCM)의 활용은 매스콘크리트의 수화열을 줄일 수 있는 효과적인 방법 중의 하나이며 최근 상전이물질을 이용한 콘크리트 복합체에 대해 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 PCM 혼입 및 저발열 결합재의 사용에 따른 매스콘크리트의 열적특성을 평가하였으며, 실제 구조물에 대한 수화열해석 및 현장시공 적용을 통한 검증을 실시하였다. 실험 결과 수화열 해석에 의한 값이 실제구조물의 수화발열 및 온도 상승이력에서 유사한 경향을 나타내므로 수화열 온도이력을 검토하기 위해 수화열 해석 프로그램의 활용이 효율적인 방법이라 판단된다. 또한 저발열 결합재와 PCM 혼입이 매스콘크리트의 수화열 저감 및 온도균열 감소에 효과적인 것으로 판단된다. One of the effective techniques to mitigate thermal stress in the mass concrete is to use the phase change material(PCM). In recent years, many researchers have conducted studies on the PCM concrete composite. The main objective of this study was the influence of PCM on hydration heat of mass concrete with ternary blended cement. To verity the accuracy and computation efficiency of simulation analysis, compared to measurement data from actual structure. The simulation analysis results indicate that the temperatures determined by the analysis are in good agreement with the measured values from actual structure. The simulation analysis of finite element procedure is feasible as an auxiliary method of temperature management. It was observe that the incorporation of PCM in mass concrete leads to a decrease of the maximum temperature and reduction of thermal crack. Therefore, the incorporation of PCM with ternary blended cement is effective in controling the hydration heat of mass concrete.

This paper presents studies of the long-term behavior of the beams with type of aggregate under sustained loading. In this experimental program, three beams with recycled aggregate were tested in long-term bending to evaluate flexural strengthening effectiveness of recycled aggregate. The beams were designed with span of 2000mm and rectangular cross-section of 170mm width and 170mm effective depth. The beams were instrumented and monitored to observe the changes in the behavior due to creep and shrinkage of concrete. Observation were recorded regularly for ten months. The result of tests, reinforce concrete beams with recycled aggregate were about similar long-term bending flexure mode with natural aggregate concrete beam.

Using the recycled aggregate not only saves landfill space but also reduces the demand for extraction of natural raw material for new construction activity. However some investigations have been carried out to study the shear behaviors of RC beams with recycled aggregates such as high absorption of recycled aggregate, small quantity of mixtures in the laboratory and small-scale specimens. In this study, four reinforced concrete beams were tested to evaluate the effects of failure modes, shear strength, and shear behavior on the replacement level (0, 30, 60, and 100%) of recycled fine aggregate. The beams with recycled fine aggregates except the one on the replacement level 100% present the similar shear strength as the beam with natural aggregate. Experimental results were compared with current code (KBC2007) and the equation proposed by Zsutty, The KBC equations were conservative and subsequently can be used for the shear design of recycled aggregate concrete beam.
