        베트남 유학생 유치의 효율적 방안

        Recent years, one of the biggest features of the Korean language education field is the diversification of the Korean language learners. The Chinese students, who have been possessing about 60 percent of the whole foreign students since 2000, were decreasing continuously between the year of 2012 to 2015. Besides, during this period the Vietnamese students have been increasing rapidly. This has a great influence in the field of Korean language education. Therefore, for the Korean language education experts, it required to provide a stable and effective Korean language education to the Vietnamese students and make them possible to achieve their goals through studying in Korea. ‘Learner-centeredness’ is the most important for successful education to Vietnamese students. In this paper, I will observe the environmental factors that are related to the flow of the Vietnamese students from the above-mentioned background. I carried out a questionnaire survey analysis targeting Vietnamese students in Korea for two years(2015 and 2016). The number of Vietnamese students is 123 in 2015 and 106 in 2016. I analyzed Vietnamese students’ needs for making better studying and living conditions for Vietnamese students’ in Korea. Following to this, I suggested some ways to maintain attracting Vietnamese students into Korea from the base of the survey’s results.

        결혼이민자와 이주노동자의 입국 사증 취득을 위한 한국어능력 평가 체계 연구

        With the rapid increase of number of foreign residents in Korea, the settlement of foreigners in Korea is a noticeable phenomenon. There are two major groups in the foreign residents who want to settle in Korea. One is marriage immigrants who want to reside in Korea as Korean citizens, and the other one is the migrant labors who are allowed to stay in Korea up to four years and ten months. And, there is one thing that we should focus on. It is that Korean government demand Korean language proficiency and the ability to understand Korean Society from the above two groups before they enter Korea. It is caused by the fundamental change of the Korean government immigration policy from the differential exclusionary policy to the social integration policy. In order to require Korean language proficiency and the ability to understand Korean society from the foreigners who want to reside in Korea, Korean government developed the assessment tools, which are Korean Language Evaluation for Getting Spouse Visa and EPS-TOPIK(Employment Permit System―Test of Proficiency in Korean). In addition to these two tools, TOPIK(Test of Proficiency in Korean), a national assessment of Korean proficiency, takes a role to evaluate them. It seems that the compositive systems and evaluation elements of these assessment tools are appropriate to attain the policy objectives of Korean government. In this thesis, these three types of Korean Language Tests are reviewed and evaluated.

        한국어 학습자를 대상으로 하는 문화교육의 새로운 방향

        In general, discussion related to cultural education in a foreign language education can be categorized into following fields; contents organizing, developing teaching methodologies, development of teaching materials, evaluating cultural competence of language learners, improving language teachers’ ability of teaching culture with language. In this study, the reality of cultural educations presented to Korean Language Learners will be examined in the afore mentioned five subordinate fields. And some suggestions to improve the cultural education to Korean language learners will be given in the same 5 fields. Especially some of them is pioneer work in this field, so I hope a lot of studies in these fields is followed by others.

        本文主要立足于考察最近在韓國語敎材開發活躍地進行過程中所開發的敎材的歷史韓流,幷將整理韓國語敎材開發史作爲首要目的。同時,通過分析最近開發的敎材,考察現行敎材的特征及問題,幷提供今后對敎材開發有价値的資料。本文以從開化期的敎材開始到2000年以后的主要敎材爲硏究對象,分別揭示了開化期,胎動期,跳躍期,最近情況等各時期的特征。

        사회통합프로그램 한국어 교육의 확대 실시 방안 연구

        It has been almost four years since Korean government implemented KIIP(Korea Immigration Integration Program). KIIP is one of concrete alternatives for social integration policy. It mainly consists of Korean language education and education for Korean society understanding. There has been noticeable increase in the number of participants and the educational expertise has been secured. But KIIP has some problems which are due to the fact that the variables of participants are not diversified and level 3 and 4 of KIIP are not applied to marriage immigrants yet. This thesis evaluates these problems and suggests some ways to expand KIIP. It proposes that the marriage immigrants should be required to complete level 3 and 4 of KIIP. And it also suggests some ways to diversify the participants. This thesis suggests a way of positive change of KIIP as a successful policy.

        다문화 가정 자녀를 위한 한국어 교육 프로그램 운영 지원 방안

        Cho, Hang-rok. 2010. 2. 28. In Search of a Supporting Plan for the Korean Language Teaching Program for the Children of Multicultural Families. Bilingual Research. Bilingual Research 42, 242-270. This paper examines from the perspective of a public system the current situation of the Korean language teaching to children of multicultural families that have appeared in the muliticultural process of the Korean society and mentions roles and responsibilities, and devices for mutual cooperations of the various parties concerned with the Korean language education. For these purpose this research looks into the current situation and problems of the supporting system for the Korean language teaching to the children with multicultural origin and then proposes some supporting devices for them. The foremost important thing to be considered in teaching Korean to the children with multicultural basis is to establish the aims, directions and contents of the Korean language education and them to set up plans that suit the special characteristics and the reality of the children from the multicultural families and their parents in order to improve the awareness for learning and education. The government then must take complementary measures through the laws and the institutions, and must arrange an effective system to implement its policies. Additionally closer cooperation systems among the governmental executive parties are keenly needed. As the Korean language education for the children from multiculral are different from the existing Korean language education for a general purpose for foreigners or for native Korean speakers, an active participation from the whole circle of the Korean language education and a heightened attitude of professionalism are required.

        한국어 교육 정책의 이론화를 위한 시론

        The issues on Korean language education policy become more important as the Korean government participates in Korean language education. Despite its importance, there are not enough studies on Korean language education policy, and the topics of the studies are not various. This article redefines Korean language education policy and suggests an approach to it as a starting point for discussions on Korean language education policy. This article discusses how we should redefine Korean language education policy. It is necessary to discuss Korean language education policy from the language educational perspective. However, this article claims that the discussions not be confined to the aspect of language education. It means that Korean language education policy should redefine its concept from the perspectives of general education, ethnic-education, immigration policy, and world-citizen education. And, it suggests the adequacy of policy science approach to Korean language education, which is used in social science. Although this article mainly deals with the language educational aspects of Korean language education policy, it also focuses on the usefulness of the policy science approach.

        재외동포를 대상으로 하는 한국어 교육정책의 실제와 과제

        Korea is a country with a high number of emigrants. One result is that overseas Koreans occupy a highly important place in Korean language education. Korean language education tailored to overseas Koreans therefore becomes a very effective option in implementing Korean government policy aimed at Korean populations beyond her borders, something that can be viewed as “relations with the motherland” and “promoting adjustment in foreign societies.” It is generally said that Korean language policy for overseas Koreans began in the 1960’s, but it was not until the mid-1970’s that concrete policies were developed. It was then not until the mid-1990’s that diverse policies were pursued in earnest. I begin this paper with a study of the historical development of Korean education policy regarding overseas Koreans. I then examine Korean education for overseas Koreans carried out in Korea by considering the legal aspects, structural aspects, and how it is performed by the related educational institutions. I examine also how policy is implemented overseas. Based on my findings, I conclude with proposals for improving policy on Korean language education for overseas Koreans.

        국외 한국어 교육의 발달 과정과 특징 1 -태동과 도약-

        With the development of Korean language education, the fields of study are also getting diverse. This paper is an effort to deal with a relatively neglected field, the history of the development of Korean language education. Considering that the history of Korean language development goes back a long time, covering massive area and complex in its contents, it’s not possible to deal with it in a single paper. Among the history of Korean language studies abroad, beginning and development period has been discussed here. In the beginning period, a brief history focusing on the characteristics has been examined. And a brief history, characteristics and the primary factors of the quick leaps during the development period has come under consideration. Considering that this field of study has insufficient data, study of history of the development of Korean language education’s significance and text are described in the introduction and conclusion parts.
