일본 신판화(新版画) 화가 ‘엘리자베스 키스’에 착종된 제국의 시선 - 일본 발행 신문 기사(1916∼1956)를 중심으로 -

エリザベス·キースは、大正新版画の誕生に貢献した代表的な西洋人の絵師である。一方、韓国の先行研究はキースについて「朝鮮を愛したイギリス人画家」という友好的な評価を下している。その理由は、キースが朝鮮や中国など、日本の「外地」の風景を主要素材に下絵を描き、新版画の柔らかな色彩と繊細な描写によってキースの下絵が、より叙情的に表現されているからである。しかし、キースは日英同盟のおかげで東アジアを描くことができ、日本の木版画の伝統的な製作技法により作品を完成することができた。したがって、本稿はキースが日本で活動した新版画の絵師という観点から、日本と韓国で発行された新聞記事を通してキースの活動を探ってみる。これは今まで韓国の先行研究で分析されてこなかったキースの帝国主義の叙事を明らかにする機会になると思う。 Elizabeth Keith is a representative Western painter who contributed to the birth of the Taishō Shin-hanga. On the other hand, South Korea's previous research evaluated Keith as a "British painter who loved Joseon". The reason is that Keith sketches the Outer Lands of Japan, such as Joseon and China, and the soft colors and delicate descriptions of the Shin-hanga make Keith's sketches more peaceful. However, Keith was able to paint East Asia thanks to the Anglo-Japanese Alliance, and her work was completed thanks to the traditional Japanese woodblock printing technique. Therefore, this study explores Keith's activities through newspaper articles published in Japan and Korea from the perspective of being a painter of Shin-hanga in Japan. This study will be an opportunity to reveal Keith's imperialist narrative, which has not been analyzed in previous studies in Korea.

Pulsating pressure of engine exhaust system is generated by pulsating gas flow due to working of exhaust valve. This exhaust gas pulsating flow is closely concerned to engine power loss according to back pressure and engine exhaust noise. Moreover, in case of estimating the muffler, conventional prediction method, which is based on linear acousstic theory, gives many restrictions and an overestimate. These fact suggest that the nonlinear effect due to large amplitude of pulsating pressure. In this paper. it shows difficulty in theoritical prediction in typical engine. As the first step for solving this problem we measured pulsating histories. Measured pressure histories in exhaust system are analyzed by spectral formula. And using the frequency response function. experimental model of performance test is proposed by pulsating pressure attenuation characteristics due to exhaust system.<br/>

This paper describes effectiveness of accident reduction on vehicles equipped with AEB using accident data occurring in Korea. During the statistical period, we used the number of vehicles which are covered by auto insurance and the number of accidents. To maximize the reduction effect of accidents caused by the driver's carelessness, the analysis was limited to Physical Damage Coverage that covers the cost of repairing or replacing the damaged vehicle caused by the driver's fault. Due to Personal Information Protection Law, it was not capable of comparing the same vehicle using Vehicle Identification Number in this study. Instead of that, we used it as a similar vehicle, so there are limits to the comparison and analysis results. As a result of this study, we have found that the effect of reducing accidents was different depending on the vehicle class, but it was generally concluded that the number of accidents decreased when the vehicle was equipped with an AEB system. Domestic research on the AEB effect of reducing accidents is not active yet. Therefore, it is absolutely essential to analyze the effects according to various conditions such as driver's age, occupation and gender as well as expanding the study models in the future.
