In case of a thick, circular cylinder which has different temperatures at internal and external surfaces, the steady state temperaure distribution throughout the solids can be obtained easily by the theoretical formula. But, when a few ducts whose axes coincide with that of the cylinder for a coolant are set up within it, for the purpose of falling down the temperature of the solid, calculations of temperatures are considerably complicated. So,the finite element method using plane or axisymmetrical elements to solve heat conduction problem within the cylinder was studied in here.

Nowadays, limit designs are more widely adopted than conventional elastic ones for structure designs. So, elasto-plastic analysis, by finite element method, of beam structures made of steel were researched here. Nonlayered solutions and layered ones for numerical examples are calculated and compared.

In this paper, the fracture behaviour of concrete gravity dam mainly due to water pressure acting at the crack facet was studied. The theory of surface integral method was used to calculate stress intensity factor(SIF) according to the various distribution types of water pressure. Uniform type, triangular type, and parabolic type distributions were considered and compared. And water pressure acting at the skew crack faces was studied also. The results were compared with those obtained by FRANC (FRacture ANalysis Code) and relatively good aggremants could be seen between both of them. The SIF results obtained from these various distribution types were almost proportional to their total amounts of water pressure acting at the crack faces. And the directions of crack propagation due to the distribution types of the water pressure were compared.

저항 점 용접은 높은 생산성의 효과 때문에 자동차 제조 공정을 비롯한 여러 산업 현장에서 널리 사용되고 있으나 (on-line) 공정제어는 아직 시도되지 못한 상태이다. 그 이유는 공정자체의 동특성이 매우 복잡하고 해석적인 동특성 모델을 구하기가 쉽지 않기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 너겟 형성의 과도기에 대한 수학적 모델을 설정하여 너겟이 형성되는 과정을 이론적으로 예측하고 용접시 방생하여 용접질을 저하시키는 외란의 효과를 보상하는 최적 섭동제어 방식을 개발하여 균일한 용접질이 보장되는 저항점 용접의 공정제어를 시도해 보았다.
