나노 은을 광증착시킨 폴리(에틸렌 테레프탈레이트)/나노-TiO<sub>2</sub> 복합체의 항균특성 연구

Nanocomposite films of poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET) and nano titania($TiO_2$) were prepared by melt compounding with a twin-screw extruder followed by hot pressing for the purpose of investigating antibacterial activity. FE-SEM, EDS and XRD measurements confirmed that nano $TiO_2$ was successfully dispersed at the level of individual particles in the PET matrix. Silver was introduced through photocatalytic reduction by nano $TiO_2$ under UV (254 nm) irradiation to the nanocomposite films after being immersed in aqueous solution $AgNO_3$ (100 ppm Ag ion). Even at 1 wt% of $TiO_2$ content, the nanocomposite with silver photodeposition exhibited strong antimicrobial activity against Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus in measurement by shaking flask method.

Purpose: The outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome(MERS) in KOREA has brought up the demands for ventilation guideline and regulations for healthcare facilities since most of the infection was spreaded inside healthcare facility. Currently KOREA has no ventilation guideline or regulations covering entire section of healthcare facility. The purpose of this study is to investigate current ventilation methods in KOREA healthcare facilities to in future, propose ventilation guideline. Methods: Research of foreign counties ventilation guideline and regulation for healthcare facilities were conducted for reference. Field investigation with survey of 21 healthcare were conducted to identify the ventilation system and operating methods. Additionally survey for healthcare workers were conducted to observe the recognition related to ventilation system in healthcare facility. Results: The result showed that most of foreign countries ventilation guideline and regulation suggests similar items to reduce the spread of infection and maintain good indoor air quality. The investigation results indicated that fixed guideline for ventilation in healthcare facility were required due to different ventilation operating methods. Survey result of healthcare workers has told us that ventilation guideline and regulation is needed to prevent further infection. Implications: Absence of ventilation guideline and regulations for healthcare facility in KOREA is an urgent issue.
수중 운동체의 거동 및 표면 압력하중 예측에 관한 수치적 연구

In the present study, two phase flows around a projectile vertically launched from an underwater platform have been numerically investigated by using a three dimensional multi-phase RANS flow solver based on pseudo-compressibility and a homogeneous mixture model on unstructured meshes. The relative motion between the platform and projectile was described by six degrees of freedom(6DOF) equations of motion with Euler angles and a chimera technique. The propulsive power of the projectile was modeled as the fluid force acting on the lower surface of the body by the compressed air emitted from the platform. Qualitative analysis was conducted for the time history of vapor volume fraction distributions. Uncorking pressure around the projectile and platform was analyzed to predict impact force acting on the surfaces. The results of 6DOF analysis presented similar tendency with the surficial pressure distributions.
전자센서 및 다변량분석을 활용한 국내산 무의 저장기간 및 온도에 따른 감각 특성

본 연구는 저장기간과 온도에 따른 제주산 무의 감각 특성 변화를 관찰하였다. 맛 성분을 분석하기 위해 전자혀를 사용하였고, 향기 성분 분석을 위해 전자코를 사용하였다. 전자혀 분석 결과에서 나타난 맛 성분의 차이는 저장기간에서는 일정한 패턴을 가지지 않았지만 모든 주차에서 차이가 나타났다. 저장온도에 따른 차이는 감칠맛과 단맛만이 나타났다. 감칠맛은 저온 저장보다 상온 저장에서 더 높은 값을 나타내었고, 단맛 또한 상온 저장에서 더 높은 값을 나타내었다. 전자코를 이용한 향기 성분의 분석 결과는 저온 저장의 모든 주차에서 methanethiol이 가장 높은 피크값을 나타내었다. 또한 주차가 지날수록 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 상온 저장에서는 methanethiol이 2주차까지는 증가하였지만 3주차부터 감소하였다. 반면 ethanol은 2주차부터 확인되어 4주차까지 크게 증가하였다. 맛 성분과 향기 성분의 PCA 결과에서 맛 성분은 주로 저장기간에 따른 무가 유의성이 높았으며, 향기 성분의 결과는 저장온도에 따른 무의 유의성이 높은 것으로 관찰되었다. 이러한 결과는 향기 성분과 맛 성분에 미치는 요인이 다르다는 것을 나타낸다고 생각된다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 제주산 무의 감각 특성에 대한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다고 판단된다. This study sought to investigate the changes in the chemical sensory properties of radishes upon storage for various periods in cool temperature (4℃) and room temperature (20℃), respectively. An electronic tongue analysis showed that the intensities of umami and sweetness of the radishes stored at the cool temperature were relatively higher than those at room temperature. There were, however, no significant differences in the sourness, saltiness, and bitterness. The electronic nose analysis identified a total of 63 and 54 volatile compounds under cool and room temperature conditions, respectively. Methanethiol, one of the sulfur-containing compounds, was predominant and its increase was dependent on the storage period. The ethanol content in the radishes stored at room temperature increased rapidly from the second week onwards. Multivariate analysis successfully distinguished various clusters based on different storage conditions. This data can be used to constitute a basic database of radish characteristics for the food industry.
