The objective of this study is to perform the systematic research and to develop programs for improving the teaching abilities of vocational teachers, so that they can cope with the variant educational condition in accordance with the change of paradigm. Especially vocational teachers who engage in technical education can acquire new knowledge and techniques as well as grasp the trend of the new technologies required in industrial fields. In this study preliminary research for the capabilities of vocational teachers was held and the feasibility was investigated. Upon these investigations the essential elements for the improvement of vocational teachers` capabilities were derived. These will be used as preliminary data for operating curricula.

In this study the elements and the contents for improvement of the ability of vocational training teachers are developed to improve themselves and to teach creatively and effectively in vocational and technical training areas. Teaching contents and curricula for improvement of the ability of vocational training teachers will not only bring up creative technical teachers in rapidly changed teaching environment but also increase national competitiveness by raising the quality of the teachers. The results of this study can be used for the development and the operation of a program not only for vocational teachers but also for general technicians. on the basis of this study programs for the improvement of abilities can be improved later on through continuous study and development.
CRISPR/Cas System for Dermatological Research

The type II CRISPR (clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats)/Cas9 (CRISPR-associated protein 9) system has been increasingly utilized to edit and manipulate the genomes of a wide range of organisms. In this system, a single protein (Cas9) forms a ribonucleoprotein complex with a short CRISPR RNA (crRNA) and a trans-acting crRNA (tracrRNA), which shows crRNA-directed DNA recognition and site-specific cleavage of target DNA. In addition to the sequence complementarity conferred by the crRNA, the short PAM sequence 5´-NGG-3´ plays a critical role in determining specificity of CRISPR system. Further, the development of a chimeric single-guide RNA (sgRNA) has simplified this system and provided efficient DNA targeting. As suggested by naturally occurring and engineered DNA-binding proteins such as transcription factors, zinc fingers, or transcription activation-like effector (TALE) proteins, the RNA-guided endonuclease Cas9 was engineered to generate a catalytically inactive form, dCas9, by introducing two mutations in the nuclease domains (D10A and H840A). Unlike the fixed sequence specificity of other DNA-binding proteins, dCas9 is thereby able to recognize target genomic loci, directed by a sgRNA, without DNA cleavage activity. This unique DNA targeting activity of dCas9 offers a molecular scaffold for various applications including targeted transcriptional and epigenetic regulation in cells. Furthermore, dCas9 and its variants have been used for genome-scale studies, with large-scale sgRNA library pools. This application is aimed at understanding gene functions responsible for diverse phenotypes of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, as illustrated using transcriptional interference (CRISPRi) and activation (CRISPRa) systems. This system has recently been widely repurposed for many biological applications such as the functional analysis of individual essential genes involved in cellular phenotypic changes and the rapid assessment of target genes during drug development.
Shell Eco-Marathon 차량을 위한 엔진 시스템 개선

This paper is representing the way to enhance fuel consumption efficiency of Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2017 vehicle, focus on theoretical calculation of fuel consumption and analysis of fluid-dynamics. New vehicle is designed for Shell Eco-Marathon(SEM) Asia 2017 and is modified from SEM Asia 2014 participated vehicle. Modification had achieved by expecting fuel consumption rate with considering fuel wall film effect, using flow analysis to optimize the intake and exhaust manifold. Finally, The car achieved 167.5 km/L and has improved 17.4% of fuel efficiency when being compared to previous model. Although record has been improved.

This is a case report of systemic lupus erythematosus presented as a transverse myelitis. Central nervous system involvement in systemic lupus erythematosus is a relatively common complication. But the transverse myelitis as a central nervous system involvement in systemic lupus erythematosus is rare and the transverse myelitis as the first manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus has not been reported in Korea. Thus we report a case of the transverse myelitis as a first manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus with the literature review.
[기술논문] Shell Eco-marathon을 위한 자작 자동차 경량화 연구

This paper sought to find a way to improve the fuel consumption rate of a vehicle for the Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2014, with a special focus on the correlation between vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics and chassis weight reduction. In ‘KUTY-Eco 1’ designed for SEM Asia 2014, a chassis made with an aluminum alloy tube, semi-monocoque structure and a pivot steering system were adopted to reduce weight and to secure better performance. The goals were achieved using computer-aided engineering(CAE) and parameter study. Finally, ‘KUTY-Eco 1’ was created, the lightest car in the competition‘s prototype petrol(gasoline) type category. ‘KUTY-Eco 1’ secured the official record of 142.7 km/liter during the competition.

A computer program for automatic deriving the symbolic equations of motion for robots using the programming language MATHEMATICA has been developed. The program, developed based on the Lagrange formalism, is applicable to the closed chain robots as well as the open chain robots. The closed chains are virtually cut open, and the kinematics and dynamics of the virtual open chain robot are analyzed. The constraints are applied to the virtually cut joints. As a result, the spatial closed chain robot can be considered as a tree structured open chain robot with kinematic constraints. The topology of tree structured open chain robot is described by a FATHER array. The FATHER array of a link indicates the link that is connected in the direction of base link. The constraints are represented by Lagrange multipliers. The parallel robot, DELTA, having three-dimensional closed chains is modeled and simulated to illustrate the approach.
