브레이크 저더에 대한 마찰재 및 디스크 영향성에 관한 연구

The effects of pad properties and thermal coning of discs on high speed judder were investigated using dynamometer and vehicle tests. The friction materials of different thermal conductivities were manufactured and the discs were designmodified to control the thermal coning during braking under high speed conditions. BTV(Brake Torque Variation) was measured to evaluate the judder propensity in dynamometer tests and the vibrations on the steering wheel and the brake pedal were measured in the vehicle tests. The results showed that the increase of thermal conductivity of a pad could not affect the judder propensity during high speed braking below 350℃ of disc temperature, however optimized disc design reduced judder propensity due to the lower thermal deformation. Moreover, the increase of stability of friction coefficient for pad and the decrease of coning amounts of disc can reduce judder propensity during the vehicle tests.
