현재까지 HID 램프는 광원이 가진 많은 장점에도 불구하고, 고온 순시 재 점등과 음향 공명 현상으로 인해서 실내 광원으로서의 사용이 제한되어왔다. 하지만 많은 연구를 통해서 램프가 뜨거운 상태에서도 순시 재 점등이 가능한 방법이 제시되어 왔고, 실제로 사용되어지고 있다. 하지만 이러한 방법은 램프 상태와 무관하게 200[kV] 정도의 전압을 램프에 인가하는 방법으로, 일반적으로 램프 수명이 감소하는 특징을 가지고 있다. 그러므로 순시 재 점등과 수명 문제는 중요한 연구대상으로 인식되어왔다. 본 논문에서는 램프가 차가운 상태에 필요한 점화 전압과 램프가 뜨거운 상태에서 점등에 필요한 점화 전압을 발생시키는 독립적인 2개의 점화기를 사용함으로써, 램프 상태에 따라 각기 다른 점화 전압을 램프에 인가하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. But, Very few attempts have been made at adaptive ignition method according to lamp state. In this paper is proposed electronicballast for metal halide lamps with an igniter for adaptive ignition. The proposed electronic bllast can generate a different ignition voltage according to the arc tube state.

In this paper, we propose the passive PFC(Power Factor Correction) circuit of an electronic ballast with the constant power the detection circuit for 110 or 220 volt. The proposed PFC circuit is composed with the modified dither circuit and the input voltage detection circuit. We have concluded that the proposed method is the attractive method to improve of power actor for the electronic ballast with the input voltage regulation and it is a similar experimental other active power factor correction method using other PWM ICs.

This paper presents the structure of a dimming control system for multiple fluorescent lamps. The dimming control system is composed of a phase angle controller, a transducer, and dimmable ballasts. In these ballasts, dimming control is achieved by varying the switching frequency that is controlled by the external DC level.
Semi-boost PFC에 의한 형광등용 전자식 안정기 해석

There are many kinds of electronic ballast for various kinks of fluorescent lamps. The PFC(Power Factor Correction) circuit in electronic ballast is classified in two types. One is the active PFC and the other is the passive PFC circuit. The active type PFC is higher than the passive type, but the cost of the passive type is cheaper than the active type. In this study, we introduced the modified passive PFC method which is called semi-boost PFC, and then we analyzed and experimented the electronic ballast which is composed of the semi-boost PFC, half-bridge, and LCC resonant tank. Experimental results showed that the PF≥0.98, CF≤1.4 and input current THD○ 15%.

This paper proposed methods of filament preheating to extend a fluorescent lamp life. The ballast for the fluorescent lamp can be classified into two main groups: magnetics and electronics. The electronic ballast is lighter and smaller than the magnetic ballast and it can dim up and down. There are two ways to start the fluorescent lamp in the electronic ballast: rapid start and instant start. Also there are two methods of the driving inverter: self excited oscillation and force excited oscillation. The rapid starting is different from the instant starting in that the rapid start is preheating the filament before the steady state. If there is a preheating process before the lamp ignition, the life of the fluorescent lamp can be increased. This paper presented the preheating methods for self excited oscillating system and force excited oscillating system.

In this paper, we develop the current probe which is composed of two GsAs Hall sensors, the iron core and the ampligying circuit. this paper's final object is that we reserch and develop low price and accurate current probe. First, we examinate electrical characteristics of the iron cores and the GaAs Hall sensors, then select best one of many kind of elements, Second, the amplifying circuit is selected and designed The experimental results with the analytical results by the Pspice simulation represent that the developed current probe is useful to the analysis of the electrical power charaterisitcs.
