        보령 소황리 전사구의 계절별 지형변화 특성과 그 의의

        Topographic changes in the foredune in Sohwang-ri, Boryeong, Chungnam Province was analyzed over the last two years. Seven cross-sections and one permanent plot (20m ×50m) were periodically studied based on erosion and deposition measurement, in addition to vegetation monitoring and measurement of wind using an automatic weather station. The sand dunes usually grew from late winter to spring and the growth occurred in a period of strong northwesterly winds. From March to April, heavy sedimentation was observed on the front section of the foredune and sand piled up to ca. 30cm to the ca. 25m landward from the high tide line. It is likely that increased wind force and growth of vegetation played a major role in transportation and sedimentation of sand. Meanwhile, the lower part of the sand dunes was eroded when typhoon and spring tide caused a rise in sea level. The transition zone of beach and dune was usually affected by sea water but some frontal slopes were entirely influenced, resulting in dune scarps. The eroded scarps were naturally restored to their original state as time passed.

        서천 일대의 생태자산 재구성을 통한 생태계서비스 제공

        수많은 지자체들이 대규모 개발 사업이나 지역축제를 통해 관광객을 유치하고자 한다. 그러나 현실적으로 성공 가능성이 낮으므로, 투입비용에 비해 효율이 높은 친환경·생태 관광산업에 더 신경을 써야한다. 서천 지역은 우수한 생태 및 문화자원을 보유하고 있었음에도 크게 주목받지 못하였지만, 국립생태원과 국립해양생물자원관이 새롭게 개 원하면서 새로운 생태 관광의 중심지로 부상할 가능성이 높아졌다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 서천 일대에 분포하는 여러 생태·문화적 자산을 분석한 후 생태계서비스의 주요 기능인 생태관광을 도입하여 생태관광의 3요소인 자연환경, 탐방객, 지역민들이 모두 만족할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하고자 하였다. 해안과 하안이 만나는 곳에 위치한 서천 지역에 서는 기존의 유명 관광지와 연계하여 4개의 권역으로 생태자산을 재구성할 수 있었다. 탐방객들을 머무르게 할 방안 으로 체험 활동을 통해 지역에서 숙박을 하도록 유도하였으며, 슬로우 라이프의 실현을 위해 각 경관들을 천천히 즐 기도록 설계하였다. 생태연구의 메카가 될 국립생태원과 국립해양생물자원관을 중심으로 인근의 금강 하구 철새도래 지와 람사르습지로 지정된 서천 갯벌 주변으로 탐방객들을 인도할 수 있도록 프로그램도 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 서천을 방문하는 탐방객들이 만족하고, 지역민들의 삶도 윤택해질 수 있는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다. Most local governments make an attempt to attract tourists through the large-scale development projects or regional festival events. But, its possibility of success is actually low, so they must take care of ecotourism industry which has higher efficiency in comparison with investing expense. Seocheon area couldn’t be focused greatly in spite of the excellent ecological and cultural resources. However, there are lots of possibilities to be a new center of ecotourism because of newly opened National Institute of Ecology and National Marine Biology Resource Institute. Therefore, the purposes of this thesis are to analyze several eco-cultural property all over Seocheon, introduce ecotourism, a main function of ecosystem services, and develop the program satisfying 3 elements of ecotourism; natural environment, visitors and residents. In Seocheon located in where the sea meets the river, ecological property could be reorganized into 4 areas in relation to existing famous tourist attractions. As a measure to let visitors stay, we induced them to lodge in the region through the field work. To realize slow life, we designed it so that they can enjoy each landscape slowly. we also suggested the program which can guide visitors onto the vicinity of habitat for migratory birds at the mouth of Geumgang River and Seocheon foreshore nominated as Ramsar wetlands by focusing on National Institute of Ecology and National Marine BiologyResource Institute which will be the Mecca of ecology research. Through this research, there will be an opportunity to satisfy visitors of Seocheon and enrich local residents’ lives.

        커뮤니케이션 관점에서 본 노장사상(老莊思想)의 인식론과 언어관

        본 연구는 한계에 직면한 서양 중심의 커뮤니케이션 이론의 대안을 노장사상(老莊思想)에서 모색하고 그 지평을 넓히기 위해 커뮤니케이션 관점에서 노장의 인식론과 언어관을 분석한 것이다. 노장사상의 핵심적인 개념인 도(道)는 언어나 문자를통해 머리로 이해할 수 있는 대상이 아니다. 도의 관점에서 보면, 부분적인 현상에 집착하는 인간의 지식으로는 만물의 기저에 자리 잡고 있는 궁극적 실체를 파악할수 없다. 인간의 주관에 의한 편견으로부터 벗어나야 비로소 만물을 그대로 볼 수 있다. 그것이 바로 노장사상에서 전개되고 있는 인식의 틀이다. 이런 관점에서 노장은 감관의 연장으로서 언어가 나타낼 수 있는 것은 한계가 있다고 지적한다. 이는 ``언어최소주의(minimalism)``라는 방법론적 사고에 근거한 ``언어도단론(言語道斷論)``으로요약할 수 있다. 노장의 이런 인식론과 언어관은 합리적 이성에 근거한 서양 중심의 커뮤니케이션 이론의 한계를 극복하고 의사소통으로부터 소외된 인간을 해방시킬 수있는 단서를 제공할 수 있다. 노장이 보는 이상적 의사소통은 언어의 허구적 의미작용의 결과로 생기는 ``대대논리(對待論理)``를 벗어나 ``인시(因是; 있는 그대로 따름)``와 ``양행(兩行; 양쪽이 순조롭게 나아감)``을 실천하는 것이다. This research sought the alternative of Western communication theory that faced its limitation from Taoism and analyzed epistemology and view of language of Taoism from the perspective of communication in order to broaden its prospect. ``Tao``, a key concept of Taoism, is not an object that can be understood by head through language or words. From the perspective of ``Tao``, the knowledge of human, who are obsessed with partial phenomenon, cannot grasp the ultimate reality in the base of all things. The humans must break their prejudice from their subjectivity in order to see all things just the way they are. And this is the frame of awareness that appears in Taoism. Taoism points out that there is a limitation of what language can express as an extension of senses. This can be summarized as an ``unspeakable theory`` based on a methodological thinking called ``language minimalism``. Such epistemology and view of language of Taoism overcomes the limitation of Western communication theory that is based on a rational reason and they provide the leads to free humans who are isolated from communication. The ideal communication of Taoism is to diverge from ``logic of conflict and opposition`` that is occurred by the result of fictional meaning of language and to practice ``the light of heaven`` and ``following two courses at once``.

        Provisioning service, which is one of the ecosystem service functions, means goods and services such as food and fuel that people get from ecosystem. Provisioning functions are closely related to the primary industry, a sector of economy. Excessive demand and use of human society can cause trade-offs among regulation, cultural, and supporting services. Therefore, it is important to perform evaluation ecosystem services periodically and to monitor the time series fluctuations to identify the impact of provisioning services on other ecosystem services (trade-off) and to maintain sustainable provisioning service. When it comes to the precise assessment of provisioning service, it is necessary to get the statistical data and standardize indicators and methods. In this study, indicators and methods, which are applicable to the spatial level of national-local-protected areas, were derived through literature analysis and expert survey. The result of this study implies that provisioning services measurement by spatial level improve the efficiency of the establishment of environmental conservation plans by whose purpose.

        태풍의 통과로 인한 해안사구 지형의 침식과 회복

        Coastal dunes help stabilize the coastal landscape and protect the hinterland through dynamic interaction with sand beaches. Sometimes dune erosion occurs during the tropical cyclones, while dune recovery may naturally follow after the event. As the typhoon Kompasu passed through the Korean Peninsula early-September in 2010, it caused a rise in water in association with the storm, wave run-ups, and heavy rains in coastal areas. As the result, coastal dunes along the west coast of Korea were severely damaged during the storm. However, the degree and extent of erosion and recovery of dunes were found to be related with the condition of beach-dune systems including gradients of foreshore and front slope of the dune, sediment supply, vegetation, wind activity, and human interferences. Some dunes retreated landward more and more after the erosional event, while others recovered its original profile by aeolian transport processes mainly during the winter season. Vegetated dunes with pine trees were less recovered after the erosion than grass-covered dunes. In addition, dunes with artificial defense were more eroded and less recovered than those without hard constructions. According to the observation after the severe storm, it is likely that the sand transport process is critical to the dune recovery. Therefore, the interactions between beach and dune must be properly evaluated from a geomorphological perspective for the effective management of coastal dunes, including natural recovery after the erosion by storm events.

        제주 신양리 해안사구의 방사성탄소연대와 퇴적환경

        We analyze the sedimentary environment and suggest the age of the coastal dunes in Shinyangri, Seongsan-eup, Jeju Island. The wind data have been collected from the automatic weather station installed at the dune crest for two years, and the analyses of the grain size, organic materials and calcium carbonates were carried out from the samples in the study area. The dune is mainly composed of coarse and carbonate-rich sands, while the lower part of the dune contains much granules and pebbles. It is likely that these sands were transported by the strong wind from the northeast or the east. We conclude that the studied coastal dune has been developed since 3 ka, based on the radiocarbon dating of organic materials.

        수정된 중요도-만족도 분석(ISA)을 활용한 수요자 기반 생태계서비스 수준 평가 연구 - 서울시를 대상으로 -

        Ecosystem services (ES) are the benefits that people obtain from ecosystems. Traditional ES assessment methods have focused on the supply of ES, using biophysical data. However, these methods often fail to capture the full value of ES, which is also determined by social and cultural factors. This study proposes a new approach to ES assessment that incorporates socio-cultural perspectives. The study was conducted in Seoul, South Korea. A survey was conducted of 1,805 residents of Seoul to assess their satisfaction with ecosystem services. Exploratory factor analysis was used to identify bundles of ES that were perceived as important by residents. A revised importance-satisfaction analysis was used to calculate the urgency level of each bundle. The results of the study showed that the 21 ES that were considered in the survey could be grouped into three bundles: urban green area-based, biodiversity-based, and resilience-based. The urgency level analysis showed that some bundles were more important than others, and that some bundles were more urgent than others. The findings of this study have several implications. First, they suggest that a socio-cultural approach to ES assessment can provide a more comprehensive and accurate assessment of ES. Second, they show that this approach can be used to identify areas where ES management is most needed. Third, they suggest that this approach could be used to inform ES management and policy decisions.

        객체기반 분류기법을 이용한 UAV 영상의 토지피복도 제작 연구

        생태계 평가 연구는 대부분 토지피복 정보를 기반으로 하여 연구되며, 주로 전지구적인 범위로 이루어져 왔다. 그러나 이러한 결과들을 지역적 현안에 대한 의사결정 자료로 활용하기에는 범위와 스케일에 있어서 활용성이 떨어지는 측면이 있다. 지역적 스케일에 활용 가능한 토지피복 정보로는 환경부에서 제작된 토지피복도가 있지만 시각판독법(On Screen Digitizing Method)의 한계와 시기별, 지역별 차이로 인해 자료 활용에 제한이 있다. 본 연구는 객체기반 분류기법을 이용하여 UAV 영상의 중분류 토지피복도를 제작하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 고해상도 UAV 영상을 5m 공간해상도로 재배열한 후 영상분할을 수행한 결과 scale 20, merge 34가 최적의 가중치 값으로 나타났으며, RapidEye 영상 분할에서는 scale 30, merge 30이 중분류 수준에 적절한 가중치 값으로 나타났다. 토지피복도는 예제기반분류를 사용하여 제작하였고, 층화추출법을 사용하여 정확도 검증을 수행하였다. 그 결과, RapidEye 분류 영상은 90%, UAV 분류 영상은 91%로 양호한 토지피복분류 결과가 도출되었다. The study of ecosystem assessment(ES) is based on land cover information, and primarily it is performed at the global scale. However, these results as data for decision making have a limitation at the aspects of range and scale to solve the regional issue. Although the Ministry of Environment provides available land cover data at the regional scale, it is also restricted in use due to the intrinsic limitation of on screen digitizing method and temporal and spatial difference. This study of objective is to generate UAV land cover map. In order to classify the imagery, we have performed resampling at 5m resolution using UAV imagery. The results of object-based image segmentation showed that scale 20 and merge 34 were the optimum weight values for UAV imagery. In the case of RapidEye imagery, we found that the weight values, scale 30 and merge 30 were the most appropriate at the level of land cover classes for sub-category. We generated land cover imagery using example-based classification method and analyzed the accuracy using stratified random sampling. The results show that the overall accuracies of RapidEye and UAV classification imagery are each 90% and 91%.

        슈미트해머 반발도와 OSL 연대에 기반한 둔두리 해식애의 형성과정

        Rock strength test on Dunduri cliff, Chungnam province, Korea, was performed using N-type Schmidt hammer and the depositional ages of the sediments overlying the cliff were derived using OSL dating method. The averaged R-values of the cliffs investigated here were lower than those observed from the shore platforms, but with larger scatter in the former. R-values were negatively correlated to cliff face retreat, implying that the irregularity of the coastal rock faces was closely related to lithology as the weaker rocks retreated much faster than the harder rocks. The overlying deposit of the cliff tends to be thicker at valleys and were poorly sorted with angular to subangular clasts in a matrix of silt. The OSL ages (ca. 70-77ka) presented here were older than the previously reported exposure ages (ca. 7-30ka) of the cliff face. Therefore, it is likely that the present sea cliff was developed by expansion of the platform which had been covered by slope deposits since the last interglacial and exposed again during the Holocene.
