1982년도 1월부터 12월 1년간 서울을 비롯한 전국 보건연구소, 검역소, 서울 시내 종합병원 임상병리실험실에서 수거한 가검물 및 분리한 세균 등 총 1,518건을 시험한 결과 이중 살모넬라균속이 687건이 동정되었다. 이중 441건이 장티푸스였으며 그외 살모넬라균이 246건이었다. 이에 대한 생화학적 특성, 혈청학적 특성, 지리적, 계절적, 성별에 대한 발생특성, 앰피실린 등 12가지 항생제에 대한 감수성 시험을 하였다.

An Investigation was carried out for determination of biological characteristics of Vibrio cholerae isolated in Korea in 1980. The results were summarized as follows: 1. All cultures isolated were identified as Vibrio cholerae 01 biotype eltor, serotype Inaba, and showed typical biochemical properties. 2. The isolates had same agglutination titer against reference antisera as that of referance stran. 3. LD50 of isolates in mice were 8~23 organisms. 4. In antimicrobial susceptibility testing by Kirby-Bauer disc method , Over 90% of cultures were sensitive to tetracycline, gantrisin, chloramphenicol, gentamicin and nalidixic acid.

The authors identified one thousand and fifty-three cultures collected from various parts of the country during the period of January to December, 1983 in Korea. Salmonella were isolated throughout the year. Of those cultures, 85 cultures of A group, 74 cultures of B group, 14 cultures of C group, 760 cultures of Salmonella typhi, 112 cultures of Semonella D group, 8 cultures of E group were identified. Concerning Samonella occurence on Sex and age, it showed for female in relatively higher than in case of male and 25-29 age group were shown the most highest group. In the seasonal distri-bution of Salmonella culture it showed that April was the most highest incidence by month. Antibiotic susceptibility were performed by means of Bauer-kirby disc diffusion method using 10 kinds of antibiotics such as Cephalothin, Chloramphenicol, Coilistin, Gentamicin, Kanamycin, Nalidixic acid, Neomycin, Polymyxin-B, Streptomycin and Tetracyline, the sensitivity pattern to antibiotics of Salmonella cultures were summarized.

hCG subunit를 순수 분리정제하여 w-hCG와 ${\beta}$-subunit를 각각 Balb/c 생쥐에 면역 주사하여 얻은 비장세포를 myeloma 세포와 융합하여 12개의 하이브리도마 세포주를 얻었다. Myeloma 세포주에 따른 세포융합의 효율과 hCG 항체 생성율을 조사했을 때 $P3{\times}63$-Ag 8.653이 SP2/0 보다 우수했으며, priming agent에 따른 복수생성율을 조사했을 때 IFA가 pristane 보다 우수함을 알았다. 하이브라도마 클론에서 유발된 복수액을 immuno-affinity 정제했을 때 특이 항체의 양은 클론에 따라 복수 ml 당 1.6-3.4 mg을 얻을 수 있었으며 모두 $IgG_1$으로 나타났다. 이 중 7개의 단일클론 항체클론에 대해 w-hCG 및 ${\alpha}$와 ${\beta}$-subunit에 대한 친화항수를 조사했을 때 $5{\times}10^7/M$에서 $8{\times}10^8/M$로 나타났으며 이 특이 친화성에 의해 항체를 3개의 그룹으로 분류할 수 있었다. For the formation of ascitic fluid in mice, Incomplete Freund's Adjuvant(IFA) was a better priming agent than pristane. The yield of specific monoclonal antibodies by the immuno-affinity purification method was 1.6-3.4 mg/ml ascitic fluid. Seven clones were studied for the specificity to w-hCG and its subunits using $^{125}I$I-labeled tracer and the clones were classified into 3 groups. The equilibrium affinity constants of the seven antibodies ranged from $5{\times}10^7M^{-1}$ to $8{\times}10^8M^{-1}$.

The Hemagglutination-Inhibition (H-I) antibodies against rubella virus among Korean in 1972 were studied. The H-I antibody possess rate and antibody titers by age group and by area were analyzed. The data in Table's 1,2 and 3 summarize the results of H-I testing of 160 serum specimens. Age group 16~20 and 31~40 gives somewhat higher positiveness than the other age group. The age group 1 year has the lowest positivity. This interaction may be also significant due to a certain extent of different type of titers with titer 1 : 10 producing the highest number of positiveness and specifically with the age group of 11~15 and 21~30. The rural and urban areas people do not seem to have differences in terms of their titer positiveness and same is true in their interaction with age titer revealing on insignificant test. Therefore, in summary we conclude 1. The titers differ significantly in producing positiveness. Titer 1 :10 has the highest of producing such with very little of 1 : 320 and 1 : 640. 2. In general the age groups differ in terms of positiveness by titer but the degree of positiveness do not differ amongst tested population over 16 year of age groups very significantly. Therefore, the effect of titers beyond this age group population would be of similar magnitude. 3. The interaction between titer and age group seem to have a very strong impact on "positiveness" revealing the fact that individual aged will always bear significant variation in positiveness. 4. No significant variation in terms of positivencess could be observed amongst the rural and urban population from this experimental observation and same could be said about their being rural or urban with age or titer.
