This paper introduces a face driving mechanism of wheel-base mobile robot, Silbot Ⅱ, which is developed for English education. In the design of the robot face, two important points should be considered: one is that Silbot Ⅱ shows a cute and friendly image because it deals with children or old persons, and the other is that it should have a compact and light structure. For the former, Silbot Ⅱ was designed to have a spherical hard-skin face with big eyes and small lips. But, such a design results in making the compact mechanism difficult. In this paper, a face mechanism of Silbot Ⅱ is proposed, which is compact and modularized so as to avoid the interference inside and to facilitate the repair or maintenance. Silbot Ⅱ is currently playing an active part in teaching English to old persons in Masan Senior Welfare Center.

This paper introduces a robot eye module, of which two degree-of-freedom motions, i.e. panning and tilting, are driven by a pair of wires. The main feature of the module is that each wire can generate push-pull motion without buckling. It is thanks to a Teflon tube which guides the path of the moving wire. End points of the tube and wire have pivot elements so that a smooth push-pull motion is produced even when the end point of wire is moved by eye rotation. This mechanism helps the eye module to be very compact. In this paper, the structure of the robot eye module is introduced in detail, and the required motor angles for a certain direction of eye line are investigated analytically and experimentally.

본 연구는 생활무용에 참여하는 중년여성들의 특성과 생활무용 참여종목의 상호관계를 파악하고 그에 따른 여가만족도의 집단 간 차이를 분석하여 중년여성 여가프로그램의 활성화에 유용한 기초자료를 제공하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 현재 경기도 안산시에서 생활무용에 참여하는 40세이상~60세미만의 여성 387명의 설문자료를 실제분석에 사용하였으며, 교차분석과 일원분산분석의 통계적 검증을 통해 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 중년여성 생활무용 참여자의 학력, 직업유무, 가계소득, 참여기간은 생활무용 참여종목과 상호관계가 있으며, 학력이 낮고 직업이 없으며 소득이 낮은 참여자들은 댄스스포츠를 선호하고, 연령은 낮고 직업이 있으며 학력과 소득이 높은 참여자들은 재즈댄스를, 연령이 높고 참여기간이 오래된 집단은 한국무용을 선호한다. 둘째, 중년여성 생활무용 참여자의 연령, 학력, 직업유무, 참여종목에 따라서 여가만족도는 집단 간 차이가 있으며, 환경적 만족은 고졸이 대졸보다, 직장이 없는 집단이 있는 집단보다, 댄스스포츠가 재즈댄스 참여자보다 높고, 교육적 만족은 50대가 40대보다, 한국무용과 댄스스포츠가 재즈댄스 참여자보다 높으며, 심리적 만족은 한국무용이 댄스스포츠 보다 높다. This study was to understand the correlation of live dancing event participation and general characteristics of middle-aged women who are participating in life dancing, and the purpose was to suggest useful basic data to activate leisure program for middle-aged women by analysing the differences of each groups of leisure satisfaction. To achieve the purpose of the study, we used 387 surveys from women between 40 to 60 year old who are participating in life dancing in An-San, Gyeonggi-do, and the results are followed by using statistical verification with Crosstabulation Analysis and One-way ANOVA. First, the education, occupation, income and term of participation of middle-aged women has the correlation with the life dancing event participation. Women who has lower education, no occupation and lower income prefer dance sports, women who are young, has occupation and education and income is high prefer Jazz-dance, and women who are old and participated for long period prefer Korean-dance. Second, there are differences in leisure satisfaction by age, education, occupation and event participation of women who are participation in life dancing. With the environmental satisfactions, high-school students, group with no occupation and dance sports have higher satisfaction than university students, group with occupations and Jazz-dance. In educational satisfaction, 50 year old group, and Korean dance and dance sports group have higher satisfaction than Jazz-dance group, and 40 year olds group. And last, Korean dance has higher satisfaction than dance sports in psychological satisfaction.
직사각형 단면을 갖는 미세채널에서 완전 발달된 다층유동에 관한 해석

An analytical solution for a vertically stratified viscous flow in a microchannel with a rectangular cross-section is constructed, assuming fully developed laminar flow where the interfaces between the fluid layers are flat. Although the solution is for n-layer flow, restricted results to symmetrical three-layer flow are presented to investigate the effects of the viscosity and thickness ratios of the fluid layers and the aspect ratio of the microchannel on the flow field. Relations between the flow rate and thickness ratios of the fluid layers with varying viscosity distributions are found, considering the cross -sectional velocity profiles which vary noticeably with the three parameters and differ significantly from the velocity profiles of the flow between infinite parallel plates. Interfacial instability induced by the viscosity stratification in the microchannel is discussed referring to previous studies on the instability analysis for plane multilayer flow. Exact solution derived in the present study can be used for examining a diffusion process and three -dimensional stability analysis. More works are needed to formulate the equations including the effects of interfacial' tension between immiscible liquids and surface wettability which are important in microscale transport phenomena.
