In this paper, the TSE (Triangulation based target Size Estimator) algorithm is presented to estimate static target size at IIR (Imaging Infrared) environment. The size information is important factor for accurate IIR target tracking. But the IIR sensor can't generate distance between missile and target to calculate target size. In order to overcome the problem, we propose TSE algorithm which based on triangulation measurement. The performance of proposed method is tested at target intercept scenario. The experiment results show that the proposed algorithm has suitable performance for the accurate static target size estimating.

In this paper, The ARR-TSE (Automatic Range Restore - Triangulation based target Size Estimator) algorithm is presented for IIR (Imaging Infrared) seeker. The target size is important information for the IIR target tracking. The TSE (Triangulation based target Size Estimator) algorithm has suitable performance to estimate target size for static IIR target. but, the performance of the algorithm can be decreased by noise. In order to decrease influence of noise, we propose the ARR-TSE algorithm. The performance of proposed method is tested at target intercept scenario. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has the accurate target size estimating performance.

In this paper, a dynamical filter called the Highest Probability Data Association Filter(HPDAF) improved by adding target feature information is proposed for robust target detection and tracking in clutter. IIR contains 2-dimensional kinematic coordinate, intensity, and feature information. In data association of the HPDAF for track initiation, feature information is utilized in addition to coordinate and intensity information. The performance of the proposed HPDA algorithm is tested and compared with the conventional HPDAF algorithm for track initiation by a series of Monte Carlo simulation runs for a 3-dimensional missile-target engagement. scenario.

In this paper, the target size and model based target size estimator (TMBE) algorithm is presented for iimaging infrared (IIR) seeker. At the imaging seeker, target size information is important factor for accurate tracking. The model based target size estimator filter (MBEF) algorithm was proposed to estimate target size at imaging infrared seeker. But, the model based target size estimator filter algorithm need to know relative distance from the target. In order to overcome the problem, we propose target size and model based target size estimator filter (TMBEF) algorithm which based on the target size. The performance of proposed algorithm is tested at target intercept scenario. The experiment results show that the proposed algorithm has the accurate target size estimating performance.

In this paper, The ET-MBEF algorithm is presented for CCD imaging seeker. At the imaging seeker, target size information is important factor for accurate tracking. The MBEF algorithm was proposed to estimate target size at IIR seeker. However, the MBEF algorithm can’t be applied at CCD imaginary target size estimation. In order to overcome the problem, we propose ET-MBEF algorithm which based on ET (Edge Template) and MBEF algorithm. The performance of proposed method is tested at target intercept scenario. The experiment results show that the proposed algorithm has the accurate target intercept performance.

The dual-mode seeker missile has become a recent trend in missile development. In this paper, we propose the F-TSE algorithm for dual-mode seeker (electro-optical (EO) and imaging infrared (IIR) guidance systems) missiles. In previous research, we proposed the TSE algorithm to estimate IIR target size estimation in a single-mode IIR seeker missile. To estimate the target size for a dual-mode seeker missile, we additionally applied a template matching method for acquiring EO target size information. The performance of the proposed F-TSE method was tested in a target intercept scenario using a dual-mode seeker equipped missile. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm obtained a relatively improved performance.

The target size information is important information for accurate image target tracking. But the EO imaging sensor cannot generate distance between the missile and target to calculate the target size. To overcome the problem, we propose using the ET-TSE algorithm, which is based on the edge template and triangulation. The performance of the proposed method is tested using the target intercept scenario. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has suitable performance for accurate EO target size estimation.
