        초등학교 고학년 학생의 인터넷 중독 실태와 중독 요인 연구

        As the use of computers and the Internet become more commonplace, many children are using the Internet. The Internet is rapidly permeating into the daily lives of elementary school students. There are some positive effects of using the Internet: it helps children's studies and communication skills and relives stress. However, some negative effects are arising, such as aggressive behavior caused by Internet games, sleeping disorders, and Internet addiction. The goal of this disquisition was to find out how an upper class of elementary school children are using the Internet and also the degree of their Internet addictions. The effects that Internet addiction had on various aspects, such as on the individual, family, and school were observed. In the individual aspect, self-respect, self-control, awareness of stress, depression, and personal taste were observed. In the aspect of family, communication with parents, the nursing behavior of parents, family functions, friendliness within the family, and the family's emotional support were observed. In the aspect of school, relationships with teachers, relationships with friends, study activities, compliance to rules and participation in events were observed. By analyzing each cause of Internet addiction, this disquisition hopes to help prevent Internet addiction and to support educational guiding about Internet addiction of elementary school children.

        확장형 읽기를 통한 영어 독해능력 향상

        The purpose of this study is to research middle school students` reading problems and to suggest how to improve their reading competence through the use of the extensive reading. For this study, we proposed two research questions of study as below. First, what difference is there in English competence between experimental group and control group? Second, what difference is there in the English reading competence according to English proficiency? The experimental group had been taught through extensive reading for 10 weeks. The data needed for this study was obtained by the questionnaires with 25 questions about the English reading. The data analyzing method were t-test through statistics program SPSS 12.0. Based on the result of this study, extensive reading was effective in improving the students` reading competence. Studying English reading through extensive reading led the students to be present in classes with interests.

        시청각 자료를 활용한 영어 듣기능력 향상

        The purpose of this study is to research middle school students` listening problems and to suggest how to improve their listening comprehension through the use of the audio-visual aids. The experimental group had been taught through audio-visual aids for 12 weeks. The data needed for this study was obtained by the questionnaires with 20 questions about the English listening. The data analyzing method was the t-test through the statistics program SPSS 12.0. The result is as follows. First, the mean score for the experimental group was significant higher than that of control group. Second, it was found that there were significant differences in the intermediate and low levels of English proficiency. Third, most of the students who were taught listening by audio-visual aids responded that they were more interested in and more satisfied with the listening lesson than the students in the control group. From the results of this study, we found that the use of audio-visual aids were more effective in improving the students` listening competence than the use of the audio tapes.

        외국어 학습전략과 영어 숙달도와의 관계연구

        The purpose of this study is to investigate 1) the differences between grade and gender in language learning strategies, 2) the differences between the levels of English proficiency and language learning strategies, and 3) the relationship between English proficiency and language learning strategies. The subjects for this study are 160 university students. Strategy use was assessed through the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning(SILL) and English proficiency was determined by students` course grades of English Conversation and English Reading. The results of this study showed 1) there was no significant difference of language learning strategies in gender(F=1.88, P> .05) and grade(F=.44, P> .05) 2) there was no significant difference between the levels of proficiency and language learning strategies, and 3) there was no interaction between the levels of proficiency and language learning strategies (X2=3.981, P> .05). According to the results above, we discovered that we can not always say learner`s variables-gender, grade, and the levels of proficiency-will influence the use of the learning strategies. We must research more about learner`s variables.

        성별과 영어 학업성취도에 따른 중학생의 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안 차이 연구

        본 연구의 목적은 한국 중학생의 남·여학생과 영어 학업성취도에 따라 구분된 상·하위의 두 집단 간 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안에 차이가 있는가를 알아보는 것이다. 연구 대상은 중학생 98명으로 이들 중 남학생은 36명, 여학생은 62명이다. 본 연구에서는 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안 수준 측정을 위해 설문지를 이용하였다. 그리고 성별과 성적으로 분류된 두 집단 간 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안의 차이를 알아보기 위해 t검증을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 성별로 나누어진 두 집단 간 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안의 차이는 통계적으로 매우 유의적인 차이가 발견되었다. 그러나 영어 학업성취도로 분류된 상·하위의 두 집단 간 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안의 차이는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 향후 연구는 본 연구에서 나타난 연구 도구와 연구 대상의 제한점을 고려하여 보다 폭넓게 이루어져야 하겠다. 또한 두 집단 간의 다른 정의적 변수의 차이에 관해서도 이루어져야 된다고 본다. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there are differences in academic self-efficacy and test anxiety between two groups(depending on gender and English achievement levels) of Korean middle school students. The subjects are 98 students who are 36 male and 62 female students. Two Questionnaires were administered to measure the learners academic self-efficacy and test anxiety level. And the collected data were analyzed by t-test to examine the differences between two groups. The results of this study showed that there were statistically very significant differences in academic self-efficacy and test anxiety between two(male-female) groups. But there were no differences statistically in academic self-efficacy and test anxiety between two(high level-low level) groups. Further studies need to be conducted carefully considering the limitations of this study in terms of its instruments and subjects. Also the differences in other affective variables between two groups need to be studied in the future.

        블렌디드 러닝이 대학생의 영어 학업성취도와 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 온·오프라인 수업의 장점을 혼합한 블렌디드 러닝 환경하의 수업이 영어 학업성취도와 자기주도 학습능력에 영향을 미치는가를 알아보았다. 이 연구에 참여한 학생들은 73명의 대학생이었다. 영어 학업성취도를 알아보기 위해 실험반과 통제반으로 나눈 두 개 반의 사전, 사후 토익 테스트를 실시하였다. 또한 자기주도 학습능력을 측정하기 위해서 Guglielmino(1977)가 개발한 자기주도 학습준비도 검사(SDLRS: Self-directed Learning Readiness Scale)를 토대로 대학생들에게 맞게 수정하여 두 개반의 사전, 사후 설문조사를 하였다. 또한 블렌디드 러닝 수업환경이 통제 집단과 실험집단의 영어 학업성취도와 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 사전, 사후 영어성취도 평가자료와 자기주도 학습능력 설문결과를 대응표본 t검증(Paired Sample T-test)을 하였고 유의 수준은 .05로 통계적 유의성을 알아보았다. 연구결과는 실험집단의 학업성취도는 유의미한 차이가 있었으나 통제집단에서는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 실험집단에서 자기주도 학습능력의 하위요인 중 ‘효율적인 학습자라는 자아개념’, ‘학습에 대한 솔선수범 및 독립성’ 그리고 ‘미래 지향적인 자기이해’ 요인에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 그러나 통제집단에서는 모든 하위요인에서 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 본 연구결과는 학습자들이 스스로 학습을 계획하고 관리하고 조절할 수 있는 자기주도적인 학습 환경을 만드는 방안을 모색할 필요성을 제기하고 있다. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there are any differences in English Achievement and Self-Directed Learning Ability according to Blended Learning. The participants are 73 university students, of which 30 are male and 43 are female students. A Questionnaire was administered to measure Self-Directed Learning Ability. The learners’ English Achievement was measured by the scores from a TOEIC actual test. And to examine the study questions, the collected data was analyzed by Paired Samples t-test. The results of this study showed that there is a significant difference in English achievement in the experimental group. But English achievement in a control group has no significant difference. Self-Directed Learning Abilities in the experimental group have significant differences in terms of self concept(t=.000), independence(t=.001), and self understanding(t=.003). But there are no significant differences in the control group. Based on these results, learning support, counseling and educational programs depending on Blended Learning will be properly provided in order to perform and maintain the English learners`` successful English learning in EFL classrooms.

        GeoGebra를 활용한 이차곡면 탐구(사례연구)

        The purpose of this thesis is to examine difficulties students face in the inquiry activities of quadratic surface throughout mathematically gifted students’ analogical inference and the influence of GeoGebra in students’ inquiry activities. The result of this thesis is as following: First, students had no difficulties in the process of inferred quadratic surface by using analogy. Secondly, students had some difficulties to come up with quadratic surface graph in the inquiry activity quadratic surface. Thirdly, applying GeoGebra helped students to think of quadratic surface graph and to finding out the relation between the inferred quadratic surface and curves. 본 연구에서는 수학을 탐구하는 중요한 방법 중의 하나인 유추를 통하여 이차곡선(포물선, 타원, 쌍곡선)을 3차원 공간상으로 확대하여 이차곡면을 탐구하는 과정과 이 때 나타나는 어려움을 GeoGebra를 활용하여 해결하는 과정을 분석하고자 한다. 연구결과, 유추활동은 기존의 지식을 확장하여 새로운 것을 예측하고 사고를 확장할 수 있는 계기를 제공해 주므로 수학영재교육에서 유추를 통한 발명 및 탐구중심의 교육을 구현하기 위한 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
