We analyzed the Rayleigh-type natural convection inside an axisymmetric, two-element evaporating droplet numerically, and the numerical results are verified by experimental results obtained by PIV technique. We found experimentally that the boundary condition on the droplet surface is close to the no-slip condition, which is assumed to be due to the Marangoni effect. The effect of boundary condition on the flow and concentration distribution is discussed based on the numerical results. From the numerical results verified by the experimental results, it is found that the governing scaling factor for the flow field inside a naturally evaporating droplet is the Rayleigh number. It is also shown, as predicted before, that there exists a pseudosteady condition for the velocity field.

컴퓨터 그래픽스 프로그램은 그래픽 객체(graphical object)의 관리, 디스플레이(display), 그리고 객체들에 발생하는 이벤트(event)등을 처리해야 한다. 또한 다양한 그래픽스 라이브러리와 윈도우 시스템의 개발로 프로그램의 이식성(portability)이 한층 강조되고 있다. 이와 같은 기능들은 상당히 복잡할 뿐 아니라 많은 그래픽스 응용 프로그램에 공통되는 내용들이기 때문에, 이들을 하나의 툴로 개발하여 많은 응용 프로그램 개발자가 공통적으로 사용하고자 하는 시도가 계속되어져 왔다. 본 논문에서는 사용하기 편리하고, 다른 시스템으로의 이식이 용이하며, 객체 지향 기법으로 설계되었기 때문에 확장이 용이한 그래픽스 저작도구의 설계 및 구현에 대해 설명한다. Computer graphics applications require managing and displaying objects as well as handling events. There are a number of graphics libraries and window systems that can be used for these purposes. These modules are general in nature and quite complex, so it would be best if we provide these features as a toolkit or a framework to the general purpose graphics programmers. This paper presents a toolkit that is easy to use, portable, and well suited for the usual modeling and rendering tasks. The object-oriented programming techniques used in designing the toolkit make it flexible and extensible.
온수를 이용한 열전발전기에서 유량변화에 따른 발전 특성

The objective of this study is to develop a thermoelectric generation system which converts unused energy from close-at-hand sources such as garbage incineration heat and industrial exhaust etc. into electricity. This paper presents applicability of a commercially available thermoelectric generator f3r waster heat recovery. The test facility consists of water heater, pump, thermoelectric module and aluminium tubes and hot and cold water is used as heat source and sink fluids. It is shown that the three components of thermoelectric research exist in manufacturing a thermoelectric generator. The first component is fabrication of thermoelectric materials, the second is manufacturing of thermoelectric generator with 32 thermoelectric modules. The last one is characteristic measuring of thermoelectric generator with 32 thermoelectric modules of two types, cooling and power purpose. It was found that the rate of cold and hot water is 25 and 37 liter per minute and the maximum power of thermoelectric generator is 28Watts and its efficiency is 1.04%.
