        I급 부정교합자에서 발치와 비발치를 통한 교정치료 전·후의 입술위치 변화

        This study targeted 36 people in case reports with non-extraction that was completed the orthodontic treatment with non-extraction in Class I malocclusion patients and 48 people in case reports with extraction that was completed the orthodontic treatment with premolar extraction treatment. It classified it again into adults and adolescents, measured Lateral Cephalogram before and after treatment, and then comparatively observed a change in Lip and perioral soft tissue according to the movement of anterior teeth. Hence, the following results were obtained. 1. As for IMPA, U1 to FH, E line, the upper and lower lips were reduced figure regardless of adolescents and adults. Thus, the aesthetic facial profile was indicated to have been improved. 2. A change in the upper and lower lips on E line in the non-extraction group was increased in adults and decreased in adolescents. Thus, the improvement in aesthetic facial profile was shown more in the adolescent group. 3. As for IMPA, U1 to FH, E line, the figure in the upper and lower lips was changed. Thus, the aesthetic facial profile was improved. However, significance in correlation was indicated only in the upper and lower lips. 4. In both the extraction group and the non-extraction group, the upper lips were indicated to have influence upon the movement in the lower lips.

        대구(Gadus macrocephalus)의 초기 발생시기의 비중변화

        The Pacific cod Gadus macrocepahlus, lays demersal eggs and the hatching larvae rise toward the surface layer of the ocean to feed. The change in the specific gravity of eggs and larvae was investigated to examine their vertical distribution and movement in the water column. The specific gravities of fertilized eggs and various size classes of larvae were measured using a density gradient apparatus. In total, the instantaneous specific gravity of 146 eggs and 225 larvae were measured. To prevent any disturbance in the gradient water column due to larval movement, 0.004% MS222 was used for anesthesia. Due to their high specific gravity, eggs spawned were deposited over the sea-bed of the spawning ground. The specific gravity of hatching larvae decreased abruptly. However, Pacific cod larvae still had a comparatively high specific gravity at hatching (1.03655±0.00146 g/cm3, n=4, mean SL=3.62 mm) and their specific gravities tended to decrease as they grew. The specific gravity stabilized 6 days after hatching (1.02590±0.00212 g/cm3, n=15, mean SL=4.67 mm) and the cod larvae were eventually able to float in the water column.

        목적: 임상적으로드물며, 발생시도수정복이잘안되는무지중수지관절복합탈구의임상적결과를알아보고자하였다.대상및방법: 무지중수지관절의외상성탈구11예(10예후방탈구, 1예전방탈구)를대상으로초기에탈구의정복가능성,도수정복을방해하는해부학적요인, 수술적접근법에관하여조사하였다.결과: 모든증례에서초기에도수정복을시도하였으나, 2예에서만이정복이되었다. 8 례는전방도달법으로관혈정복을하였고, 1예는만성적인소견을보여관절고정술을시행하였다. 정복방해요인은파열된수장판내로근위부에서단무지굴건과요측종자골이감입되어있었고, 중수골두는파열된인대와단무지굴건사이에형성된간격사이로빠져나와있었다.결론: 과신전에의한중수지관절의후방복합탈구는드물지만, 정복이쉽지않아서주로관혈정복이요구되며, 이때정복방해요인인파열된수장판과관절막, 단무지굴건과종자골등에관심을갖고치료에임하여야한다. Purpose: We examined patients to evaluate the clinical results of traumatic metacarpophalangeal(M-P) dislocations of the thumb, uncommon and irreducible. Materials and Methods: In 11 traumatic M-P dislocations of the thumb, the types of dislocations were 10 dorsal and 1 volar dislocations resulted from the impacted and hyperextended forces on thumb. Authors evaluated the possibility of closed reduction, the anatomical structures interfering with closed reduction, and the surgical approaches. Results: Eight cases were treated with open reduction through volar approach and two cases were treated with closed reduction. Joint fusion was done with a plate in a chronic case. Initial closed reduction was attempted in all cases, but succeeded in only 2 cases because the interposed ruptured volar plate, the flexor pollicis brevis tendon and ulnar sesamoid bone at the volar side of the M-Pjoint were the obstacles to reduce. The metacarpal head was caught in button-hole slit between theflexor pollicis brevis and the ruptured volar joint capsule in all cases. Conclusion: Similar with the M-P joint dislocations of other fingers, the dorsal complex M-P dislocations of the thumb due to hyper extension are unusual and can't easily be reduced by closed manipulation. It is necessary to pay attention to the ruptured volar plate, capsule, the subluxated portion ofthe sesamoid and flexor pollicis brevis as interfering structures.

        동중국해 북부해역에서의 살오징어 (Todarodes pacificus) 유생의 분포

        The common squid Todarodes pacificus is an ecologically and commercially important species in Korea and Japan. However, the distribution pattern of its eggs and larvae in Korean waters has not yet been clarified. To determine the horizontal and temporal distribution of common squid larvae in the northern East China Sea, samples collected using paired, 60 cm diameter Bongo nets from the three surveys conducted in August 2003, May 2004 and November 2005 were examined. In addition, the vertical distribution was examined from the samples collected using a 1 m2 MOCNESS in April 1999 (20 m interval down to 100 m). A total of 218 larvae ranging in mantle length (ML) from 1.2 to 17.0 mm were counted at 27 stations. Larval abundance was highest in May 2004. The larvae mainly occurred in the southeastern area of Jeju Island, where the water temperature and salinity at 50 m deep ranged from 15-23℃ and 34-34.6 psu, respectively. Most larvae were collected in the frontal zone, where the Tsushima Warm Current and inshore waters meet. The results from the MOCNESS samples showed that the larvae occurred mostly in 20-80 m depth ranges (about 90%), although collections were only conducted above 100 m. No significant differences in larval mantle lengths (ANOVA, P>0.05) were found among each depth interval. Given the occurrence sites of the larvae <2.0 mm ML, the spawning ground of this species appears to be within the northern East China Sea, mainly to the southeast and northeast of Jeju Island, in early spring.
