연구논문(硏究論文) : 스마트 모바일 오피스 도입이 호스피탈리티 기업의 지식경영활동 및 업무성과에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 호스피탈리티 기업의 새로운 지식경영 시스템인 SMO를 대상으로 하여 사용자의 기술 수용 요인과 지식경영 활동과의 영향관계를 살펴보고 SMO를 활용한 지식경영 활동을 통해 기대되는 기업의 업무성과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 본 연구는 현재 SMO 시스템을 활용하고 있는 호스피탈리티 기업(호텔기업 4곳: H호텔, W호텔, S호텔, P호텔; 외식기업 C사1곳) 5개사의 직원들을 대상으로 설문을 진행하였으며, 최종적으로 357부의 유효표본이 가설 검증을 위한 통계분석에 활용되었다. 연구 결과, SMO에 대한 사용자의 수용 요인 중 지각된 유용성은 지식경영 활동 요인 중 지식 학습을 제외하고, 지식 공유, 지식 창출 요인에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 지각된 용이성은 지식학습, 지식 공유, 지식 창출 요인에 모두 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 SMO를 활용한 지식 학습, 지식 공유, 지식 창출의 지식경영 활동은 업무 성과에 모두 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 위와 같은 연구의 실증결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저, SMO에 대한 사용자의 수용요인이 대부분 지식경영 활동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 결과를 통해 SMO가 기업현장에서 지식을 창출-공유-학습하는 데 있어 효율적 도구임을 짐작해 볼 수 있다. 또한 지식경영활동에 SMO를 활용할 때 일부 소수를 위한 시스템이 아닌 여러 부서에 적용 가능한 범용적 시스템이 될 수 있도록 하는 것이 중요한 과제임을 알 수 있다. 둘째, SMO를 활용한 지식 창출-공유-학습 활동이 기업의 업무성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 결과를 통해 모바일 오피스의 새로운 형태인 SMO가 분명 기업의 새로운 지식경영 시스템으로써 긍정적 역할을 수행이 가능하며, 업무 성과와의 영향관계를 통해 업무의 효율성 향상 및 고객 만족을 증대시킬 수 있는 도구로써의 역할을 기대해 볼 수 있다. 마지막으로, 호스피탈리티 분야에서는 거의 다루어지지 않았던 SMO에 대한 정량적 분석 결과를 제시함으로써 현재 SMO를 기업의 지식경영 시스템으로 활용하거나 향후 도입을 고려하고 있는 기업의 실무진들에게 새로운 매커니즘의 중요성을 다시 한 번 강조하고자 한다. The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship between the user`s perception of SMO and their effects toward knowledge management activities and business performance. Data were collected from 357 employees who are using SMO systems and working at hotels and a foodservice company. Results showed that ``PU`` and ``PEOU`` generally made significant effects on knowledge management activities which subdivided into knowledge sharing, knowledge creation and in-company training. All knowledge management activities made significant effects on business performance. Academic and managerial implications are discussed.
호텔 기업 상사의 변혁적 리더십이 직원의 창의성과 내재적 동기에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of leader`s transformational leadership on employee`s creativity in the hotel industry, and the mediating effects of intrinsic motivation in the relationship between leader`s transformational leadership and employee`s creativity. Data were collected from the employees of five star hotels in Seoul, Korea. In conducting the research a total of 300 questionnaire were distributed between March 1, 2010 to March 15, 2010 but only 288 were used for the analysis. This research based on the results offered these outcomes as follows: First, leader`s transformational leadership had a statistically significant influence on employee`s creativity. Second, leader`s transformational leadership had a statistically significant impact on intrinsic motivation, and the intrinsic motivation had also a statistically significant influence on employee`s creativity. Third, intrinsic motivation mediating effects of in the relationship between leader`s transformational leadership and employee`s creativity was confirmed. The results suggest that transformational leadership has important effects on employee`s creativity and intrinsic motivation in the hotel industry. The implications of the findings along with some potential practical applications are discussed.

The purpose of this research is to identify the factors that will influence on the successful performance of outsourcing in the Korea hotel industry. The findings and implications can be summarized as follows: First, it was found that the higher the service quality of vendor, the higher the benefits from outsourcing and the sincerer of the partnership between hotel vendor and its outsourcer, the higher the benefits from outsourcing. Second, the detailed condition of outsourcing contract between outsourcer and external supplier on the level of service quality and its evaluation, penalty in case of breaking the contract, and adaptability to sudden change surrounding the contract circumstance did not have meaningful effect on performance of hotel outsourcing. Third, in the results of general questionnaires of outsourcing that saving labor costs and reducing its expenses marks in the highest rank at the purpose of introduction of outsourcing in hotels and the effective benefits of cost saving is also marked in the highest rank at the most important element of choosing vendor. Fourth, deterioration of service quality marks the highest rank in a demerit of outsourcing in hotel industry and selecting the best supplier marks in the highest rank for successive element of outsourcing in hotel industry.

This paper examines the effect of official mentoring function on hotel employees` career commitment and team commitment and the probable existence of moderating effect by personality type. We find that career commitment and team commitment are significantly higher for hotel employees with more perceived mentoring function. This result indicates that official mentoring system is a key determinant of career commitment and team commitment. And we find that there exists a significant difference of mentoring function`s influence on career commitment and team commitment by hotel employee`s personality type. This result implies that if the hotel company wants to gain organizational efficiency through the increase of career and team commitment, then personality type of hotel employee must be considered when implementing and operating mentoring system. Taken as a whole, we find that official mentoring system does play a leading role as an effective strategic tool which contributes to the increase of hotel employees` positive job attitude.

The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of leader`s transformational leadership on employee`s job performance in the hotel industry, and the mediating effects of employee`s creativity in the relationship between transformational leadership and job performance. Data were collected from the employees of five star hotels in Youngnam, South Korea. Hypotheses were examined by using path analysis. The results are as follows. First, transformational leadership had a statistically significant influence on job performance. Second, transformational leadership had a statistically significant impact on creativity, and the creativity had also a statistically influence on job performance. Third, mediating effects of employee`s creativity in the relationship between transformational leadership and job performance was confirmed.
