The purpose of this paper is to investigate how compound words are generated under certain conceptual principles. Within the framework of cognitive linguistics and onomasiology, we want to identify the relationship between perception, concept, conceptualization, and word meaning. First, perceiving an object is done not only by the vision simply but also by the every sensory organ broadly. The recent studies on the perception are originated from the 17th century Empiricism. Second, conceptualization is applicable to various levels of vocabulary, sentence, and context, but in this paper, we want to apply it only to the word formation process. Thus a word’s concept is formed by conceptualization. Third, on concept and word meaning, the former is nonlinguistic, and the latter is linguistic. Every step from perception to lexical meaning includes the intention of the conceptualizer. Finally, English and Korean speakers often generate the same or similar compounds, but in some cases they made differently. And this phenomenon is natural from the view point of onomasiology.

지자체 공무원 특성에 따른 폐업지원제도 인식 차이 연구

The Farm-Closure Assistance (FCA) program is operated to compensate for lost farm income, to stabilize the management of low-competitive farms, and to enhance competitiveness of target items. The FCA, however, has several problems, such as the balloon effect and fraudulent receipts. Therefore, it is important to examine the operational problems of the FCA, establish improvement plans, and settle the measures. The objectives of this study are to analyze problems and suggest solutions for FCA, reflecting the viewpoints of local government officials who are in charge of actual tasks on the FCA front lines. The study analyzes whether characteristics of government officials lead to differences in setting the maximum amounts and extensions to FCA. Factors influencing the necessity of setting ceilings on FCA were work experience, recognition of agriculture's importance, and the FTA's impact on domestic agriculture, gender, and regions. Factors affecting the extension of FCA were the agency unit, work experience on the FTA, recognition of the effects of FTA direct payments and FCA, and recognition of the subsidy's direction. The results can be employed as a fundamental background that can set the direction for institutional improvement when the government tries to improve FCA. 폐업지원제도는 경쟁력이 낮은 한계농가의 소득보전 및 경영안정과 해당 품목의 전반적인 경쟁력을 제고하기 위해 운용되고 있다. 이러한 폐업지원제도는 풍선효과와 부정수급 등 여러 가지 문제를 가지고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 폐업지원제도의 실제 업무를 최일선에서 담당하는 지자체 담당 공무원의 시각을 반영하여 폐업지원제도에서 나타나는 전반적인 문제점과 개선 방향을 분석하는 것이다. 특히, 공무원 특성별로 폐업지원제도 상한액 설정과 연장 여부에 관해 차이가 있는지, 이러한 차이에는 공무원의 어떤 특성이 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다. 폐업지원제 상한액 설정 필요성에 영향을 미치는 요인은 농업부문 업무경력, 농축산업의 중요성에 관한 인식, FTA가 우리나라 농축산업에 미친 영향에 관한 인식, 성별과 지역 변수인 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 폐업지원제 연장 여부에 영향을 미치는 요인은 소속기관 단위, FTA 직접피해보전제도에 관한 업무 지식 수준, FTA 피해보전직불제 및 폐업지원제도의 효과에 관한 인식, 농축산업 보조금 지원 방향에 관한 인식인 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과는 정부가 폐업지원제도를 개선하고자 할 때, 제도개선 방향을 설정할 수 있는 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영어와 한국어 꽃 이름 합성어의 형태론적 및 개념적․의미적 양상

In this paper, I aim to compare the morphological and conceptual (semantic) differences between English and Korean flower name compounds. We can conclude three things. First, a lot of Korean compounds include kkot(-꽃) and hwa(-화) and they are in some way systematic. On the contrary, the English compounds have not shown any systematic order morphologically. Second, when we compare the 국화(chrysanthemum)-included compounds and the rose-included compounds, several lexical items are systematized as one category in one language, but not in the other language. Finally, conceptualization differences are shown in many cases such as morning glory vs. 나팔꽃(horn flower), Easter flower vs. 할미꽃(grandmother flower). When we form a compound noun, the salient part of the object is usually conceptualized by language users, but the focus, which has been lexicalized, is different between two languages. That is, conceptualization and lexicalization of the same object may differ in two language systems.

동물병원 서비스 만족도에 미치는 요인 분석

This study analyzed the factors that affect consumer satisfaction of animal hospital service to prepare policies for the animal hospital service industry. Focused on consumer orientation in the market and changes in the number of households, we analyzed the factors that affect the satisfaction of animal hospitals. The key results and implications are as follows. Firstly, the results show that significant factors that affect the satisfaction of animal hospital service for single households are comparability through various channels. In the case of single households, the comparability of animal hospital services is a principal matter. Therefore, it seems necessary for the government or public institution to integrate, manage, and provide veterinary hospital services so that consumers can easily find and compare information on animal hospital services. Secondly, consumer complaints and damage experiences, and consumer safety are dominant factors in consumer satisfaction. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the ability to consult or deal with consumer complaints and damages related to veterinary hospital services at counseling institutions. Lastly, other common factors which affect all types of households are consumer complaints and damage experiences, compliance with laws and systems related to hospital service, price adequacy, and consumer anxiety levels since the service is directly related to animals' lives. As a result, it is essential to adopt standards for animal hospitals or an evaluation system to increase the credibility of hospital services. 본 연구에서는 동물병원 서비스업에 관한 정책을 마련하기 위한 기초연구로써 반려동물 양육 가구의 동물병원 서비스 이용 만족도에 미치는 요인이 무엇인지를 분석하였다. 특히 최근 가구원 수 변화 경향을 고려해 가구원 수별 동물병원 서비스 이용 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하였다. 분석 자료는 한국소비자원의 「2019 한국의 소비시장평가지표: 서비스시장」에서 동물병원 서비스를 이용한 1,000명을 대상으로 설문 조사한 자료이다. 주요 분석 결과와 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫 번째, 1인 가구의 경우 다양한 경로를 통한 비교 가능성 변수가 동물병원 서비스 만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 1인 가구에서 동물병원 서비스 선택이나 비교 가능성이 매우 중요한 문제이기 때문에, 동물병원 서비스에 관한 정보를 소비자가 쉽게 찾아보고 비교할 수 있도록 정부나 공공기관 차원에서 동물병원 서비스를 통합해서 관리하거나 제공하는 것이 필요한 것으로 보인다. 두 번째, 3인 가구에서는 다른 가구와 달리 불만 및 피해 경험과 소비자 안전도에 관한 변수가 동물병원 서비스 만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 소비자 권익 보호 및 전문 상담 기관 등에서 동물병원 서비스에 관한 소비자 불만 및 피해를 전담해서 상담하거나 처리할 수 있는 기능을 강화할 필요가 있다고 판단된다. 세 번째, 동물병원 서비스 만족도에 공통으로 영향을 미치는 요인은 사업자의 관련 법·제도 준수 여부, 가격 수준의 적정성과 불안감 정도인 것으로 나타났다. 동물병원 서비스는 반려동물의 생명과 직접적으로 연관되는 서비스인 만큼, 동물병원 서비스 제공자의 관련 법·제도 준수 여부와 소비자의 불안감 정도가 동물병원 서비스 만족도에 중요한 역할을 한다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 선행연구와 같이 동물병원 표준진료제도 또는 동물병원 평가 제도를 도입하는 방안을 적극적으로 고려할 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

선택실험법을 이용한 조제분유 속성별 가치평가

최근 소비자의 프리미엄 영유아식 수요가 증가하면서 조제분유 소비 형태도 변화하는 경향을 보인다. 조제분유 수입액은 꾸준히 증가하지만, 국내 생산액은 감소하는 추세를 보여 대책 마련이 필요한 시점이다. 본 연구의 목적은 조제분유 속성별 가치, 즉 한계지불의사금액을 추정하는 것이다. 분석 결과, 국내 소비자 대부분은 수입 조제분유보다 국산 조제분유를, 일반 우유보다 산양유를, 일반 조제분유보다 유기농 조제분유를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 국내 조제분유 산업 경쟁력을 높이기 위해서 소비자의 소비행태 특히, 자녀를 위해 점점 고급 제품 또는 프리미엄 제품을 선호하는 경향을 고려한 전략을 마련할 필요가 있다. Recently, as consumers’ demand for premium baby food increases, the consumption patterns of infant formula are also changing. However, although the imports of dried milk are steadily increasing, domestic production is on the decline, so it is time to prepare countermeasures. The purpose of this study is to estimate the value of each attribute of infant formula, that is, the marginal willingness to pay. As a result of the analysis, it was found that most domestic consumers prefer domestic formula over imported formula, goat’s milk over regular milk, and organic formula over general formula. In order to enhance the competitiveness of the domestic powdered milk industry, it is necessary to prepare a strategy that takes into account the consumer’s consumption behavior, especially the consumption behavior for children, which tends to favor high-end products or premium products.
