‘캐리’는 운전에 어려움을 느끼는 초보 운전자와 장롱면허자의 안전운전을 위해 고안된 어플리케이션이다. ‘캐리’ 어플과 차량용 인공지능 스피커를 통해서 보다 안전하고, 심리적으로 안정된 상황에서 운전을 할 수 있도록 돕는다. 또한, 본 기능을 공유-렌터카 업체와 연동함으로써, 교통사고 발생 빈도가 상대적으로 높은 초보 운전자들에게 합리적인 가격으로 운전 교습을 제공하고, 심리적 안정감을 증진시키는 것을 목표로 한다. 본 논문에서는 ‘캐리" 어플리케이션의 프로토타입을 디자인 하는 과정을 담았으며, 그 과정에서 이루어진 설문조사와 사용성 평가의 결과를 중심으로 기술하였다. 각 평가는 "캐리"가 사용자들의 니즈를 정화하게 충족시키고 있는지, 어플의 디자인이 사용자에게 직관적으로 이용되고 있는지에 대해서 알아보기 위해 진행되었다. 평가는 실제 주행 환경이 아닌 테이블 테스트로 진행되었으며, 현재는 모듈 완성 이후 테스트 차량을 통한 사용자 평가와 AI Agent Device 베타 버전 평가를 진행중이다.
VR환경에서 디지털휴먼 얼굴 표현이 현실감에 미치는 요인 분석

(Background and Purpose) Gartner, a global IT research and advisory firm, cited immersion experiences as one of the top 10 strategic technologies for 2019. This implies that a real-like experience is possible in a virtual environment without any constraint of time or space. Currently, there is a trend in the industry to produce digital humans with a better sense of reality, based on the textures and shapes that are obtained by taking pictures of real people. This study examines if the degree of reality in both, appearance and facial expressions, affects the sense of reality of digital humans, the level of difference observed, and what are the main influencing factors, by creating a prototype of digital humans from a more industrial perspective. (Method) In this study, existing digital humans have been studied to check wrinkles, skin color, skin texture, individual hair, lighting reflection, and pupil reflection. Experimental research using the produced prototype, was conducted, to identify the impact of both, appearance and facial expressions, on the sense of reality of digital humans, and what are the main influencing factors. The hypothesis was that when the degree of reality in facial expressions was increased by one level, the sense of reality indicated a difference of two or more levels, and asymmetry was the main factor in the facial expressions of digital humans. (Results) It was found that the ratio of overall sense of reality differed by two or more levels, as the degree of reality of the facial expressions in visual reality increased by one level. The main factors were the projection of light on the face, the reflection of the image in the pupils, and the impression of the hair, for the evaluation of the degree of reality of appearance. Additionally, it was confirmed that the main factors to evaluate the degree of reality were the different consequences for repetitive behavior, the irregular blinking of the eyes, and natural muscles. It was found that atypical factors such as harmony, irregularity, and asymmetry were the factors that had an impact on the overall sense of reality. (Conclusions) It was found that the degree of reality in facial expressions affected the sense of reality more than the appearance of digital humans in the virtual reality environment. It was confirmed that atypical factors such as harmony, irregularity, and asymmetry, which are the factors of the degree of reality in facial expressions of digital humans, were the most influencing factors in the overall sense of reality.
수소부품 안전성 평가를 위한 극저온 챔버용 열교환기 성능 해석

세계적으로 각광받고 있는 친환경 교통수단인 수소버스의 부품의 안전성을 검증하기 위하여 검증장비 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 수소버스 안전성을 평가하기 위한 장비 중 하나인 고압부품 수소리크 시험 및 TPRD(thermally activated pressure relief device) thermal cycle 시험 장치에 포함되는 극저온 챔버를 구동하기 위한 적절한 열교환기를 설계하기 위한 열교환기의 열 및 유동해석을 진행하였다. 수소부품의 안전성을 평가하기 위해 부품을 수용할 수 있는 온도조절이 가능한 극저온 챔버를 위한 열교환기의 필요 성능을 검증하고 챔버 내 온도구배를 해석함으로써 정립되지 않은 수소버스 시험설비를 제작하기 위해 필요한 열교환기의 필요 용량 및 규격을 제시하고 수소부품을 위한 극저온 시험설비를 제작하기 위한 설계 기준안을 제시하고자 한다. The development of verification equipment is actively being conducted to verify the safety of parts of hydrogen buses, which is an eco-friendly means of transportation that is in the spotlight around the world. Heat and flow analysis of a heat exchanger was conducted to design a suitable heat exchanger for driving a cryogenic chamber included in a thermally activated pressure relief device thermal cycle test apparatus, which is one piece of equipment used for evaluating the safety of a hydrogen bus. To evaluate the safety of hydrogen components, the necessary performance of the heat exchanger to maintain the temperature was verified for cryogenic chambers capable of temperature control, and the temperature gradient in the chamber was analyzed. This analysis can help in understanding the required capacity and standard of heat exchangers needed to manufacture unestablished hydrogen bus test facilities and to prepare design standards when manufacturing cryogenic test facilities for hydrogen components.

일반적으로 공익광고는 공공의 이익과 편의를 위해 제작되고 유통되는 설득 커뮤니케이션 활동이며, 그 주제의 분류로 크게 자연환경과 사회공동체, 공중보건/복지와 가정/청소년, 경제 등으로 나눌 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 공익광고의 주제에 따른 색채 연상에 관한 연구로, 주제별 색채에 대한 연관성 정도를 평가하는 설문을 통해 연상 정도를 알아보고 결과를 분석했다. 그 결과 공익광고의 주제에 따라 색채의 범위가 명확하게 나뉘지 않았고, 연관성이 높은 색채와 낮은 색채가 비교적 뚜렷한 경향성을 보였다. 이를 통해 공익광고에서 긍정적인 연상 효과를 불러일으킬 수 있는 색채와 상대적으로 연상 정도가 낮은 색채를 제안할 수 있다.
한글 글꼴의 세리프 및 네모틀 여부에 따른 친숙성과 선호도

Korean typefaces are characterized on two axes: a font is either serifed or non-serifed, and it is either square-frame or non-squared. A serifed font entails small strokes that are regularly attached to the ends of larger strokes. Conversely, fonts without these marks are termed sans-serif. One of the exclusive features of Korean typeface of the square-frame type is that in such fonts, vowels and consonants often with their final vowels, are harmonically placed within the boundaries of the virtual square. We hypothesize that serifed and squared-frame typefaces are more popular and preferred owing to their widespread use throughout history. A survey incorporating Korean pangrams written with serif, sans-serif, squared, and non-squared typefaces was designed to test the present hypothesis. We found that people typically preferred and were more familiar with squared typefaces compared to non-squared typefaces. However, no difference was observed between serifed and san-serif typefaces. Furthermore, a positive correlation was found between familiarity and preference ratings only where the typefaces had squared and serifed features. The results revealed that Korean typefaces with the squared feature were more well-known and, therefore, more preferred to the typefaces without it. The results further indicated that Korean typefaces with the squared feature can be recommended for people’s familiarity to it and the comfort it provides, and their emotional relevance and sensibility enhanced if serifs are added.
