Low pressure die casting and Flow forming process have been successfully used to produce sound magnesium alloy AM80 road wheels. In this study, high speed compression test at first were done to simulate flow forming of Mg wheel, and then flow forming process was simulated by use of “Forge” analysis tool. On the basis of flow forming simulation, the flow forming of Mg wheel was done with different forming conditions. For flow forming experiment, the preform castings were made by low pressure die casting process using AM80 commercial magnesium alloy. In flow forming of magnesium preform wheel, the flow forming of Mg wheel was successfully accomplished when the feed rate was half lower than that of aluminum road wheel forming conditions. Finally, the comparison with flow forming simulation was done.

This paper describes the modeling of DFAG (Doubly-Fed Asynchronous Generator) controllers such as electric and turbine controllers for the transient stability studies. The DFAG electric control model controls both the reactive power and electric power of DFAG. The DFAG turbine control model including wind power aerodynamic modeling controls the mechanical power by changing the pitch angle. The suggested DFAG controller models are tested against 6-machine and 23-bus system.
