In this study, safety evaluation scenarios on "cut-in" situation are presented to assess the performance of automatic emergency braking systems. The ASSESS project in EU is surveyed for derive efficient test scenarios for cut-in situation. The TASS database are also analyzed to find representative accident scenarios in Korea. With the results of the ASSESS and TASS, the safety evaluation scenarios in cut-in situations are suggested and the scenarios are tested with simulation software PRESCAN.

In Korea, side impact type accidents are one of the main cause of fatality. MLTM and KATRI established sie impact regulation as well as NCAP type assessments to protect occupants. Recently, WP29 formed a informal group to study a possible harmonization of pole side impact test methods with WorldSID as a GTR. In this paper, two different dummies, ES-2 and WorldSID were evaluated with three different types of pole side impact test methods.

In the present study, the diffusion process of hydrogen leaking from a FCV (Fuel Cell Vehicle) in an underground parking lot was analyzed by numerical simulations in order to assess the risk of a leakage accident. The temporal and spatial changes of the hydrogen concentration as well as the flammable region in the parking lot were predicted numerically. The effects of the leakage flow rate and an additional ventilation fan were investigated to evaluate the ventilation performance in the parking lot to relieve the accumulation of the leaked hydrogen gas. The present numerical analysis can provide useful information such as the distribution of the leaked hydrogen concentration for safety of various hydrogen applications.
