In general, a third rail current collecting shoegear is used widely in the light rail transit system, which is more efficient than overhead pantograph. Therefore, Korean standard specifications for the light rail transit prescribes for the application of it. This paper describes the development of third rail current collecting shoegears, which is suitable to Korean situation and satisfied with Korean standard specifications. Two types are developed for steel wheel AGT system and rubber tyred AGT system, and various experiments are executed.
Ti-Ni 형상 기억 합금의 열 Cycle 에 의한 피로 특성

The effect of the thermal fatigue on the transformation temperature and shape recovery of Ti-Ni alloys was investigated utilizing thermal cycling tests, electrical resistivity measurements and the transmission electron microscopy. Three types of heat treatment were used, they were solution treatment at 950℃, aging treatment at 400℃ after the solution treatment and annealing at 400℃ of a 30% cold-worked specimen after the solution treatment(i.e., mechanical treatment). The mechanical treatment was found to be the most effective way to improve the shape memory effect and stabilization of the transformation temperature. Change of the M_s temperature was observed to a certain number of thermal cycles, and the M_s temperature was nearly constant after a critical number of thermal fatigue cycle.
수소를 포함하고 있는 3원계 합금에 있어서 Enthalpy 및 Entropy Interaction Parameter 의 물리화학적의의에 관한 고찰

이미 보고되어 있는 Mo 및 그 합금에서의 수소의 용해도 data로부터 900-1500°K의 온도범위에서 각 합금원소들의 free energy, enthalpy 및 entropy interaction parameter들을 구하였다. 지금까지 논의되어온 수소의 움직임에 미치는 합금원소의 영향을 크게 전자구조와 strain의 두가지로 나누어 간단히 논하고 그 각각이 enthalpy 및 entropy interaction parameter에 지배적으로 기여함을 보였다. 이는 측정되지 않은 다른 system에서의 수소의 움직임을 아는데 도움이 되며 예로서 Nb-Ta계에 적용되어 설명되었다. With the published data of solubility of hydrogen in Mo and Mo-base alloys, the free energy interaction parameters(ε) of each alloying elements are calculated. These data cover the temperature range from 900 to 1500°K and from the ε vs 1/T (temperature) plot, enthalpy and entropy interaction parameters of each alloying elements are calculated. The two major parts of the effect of alloying elements on the solubility of hydrogen, i.e. the effect of the electronic structure and that of the strain are discussed briefly. And finding is that the former contributes dominantly to the enthalpy interaction parameter and the latter to the entropy interaction parameter. Applying the above findings to the Nb-Ta system, the argument is justified more clearly.
La-Ni-M 삼원계 금속간화합물의 수소화합물 생성열의 예측

Atomic cell model describing the heat of hydride formation of binary intermetallic compound is extended to the ternary intermetallic compound and some equations predicting the heat of hydride formation (ΔH) of ternary intermetallic compound are derived. Tested with relationship between ΔH and hydrogen equilibrium pressure, derived equations predict the trend of increase of ΔH well but fail to explain the difference between trend of ΔH of LaNi₄M type compound and that of La_(0.8)M_(0.2)Ni_5 type compound. To eliminate such difference, calibrated enthalpy change is suggested.

We proposed a magnetic card system for the use of the automatic city gas payment system. The currently used gas meter system was replaced by a photocoupler. The number of pulses by the photocoupler was proportional to the amount of gas consumption. The designed control part of the system consists of microcontroller, LCD, 8255PPI, ROM(32K byte), and so on. This subsystem read the number of pulses generated and subsequently changes information recorded on the magnetic card.
