A glass cockpit is an aircraft cockpit that features electronic (digital) instrument displays, typically large LCD screens, rather than the traditional style of analog dials and gauges. While a traditional cockpit relies on numerous mechanical gauges to display information, a glass cockpit uses several displays driven by flight management systems, that can be adjusted to display flight information as needed. This study introduces design considerations of electronic display in KAS Part 23 airplanes.

It is recognized that safety is a key point of technical competency. Its adoption is widely spread in development of products and it is essentially necessary in aerospace industry because airborne system and equipment are used complex high-technology and implemented systematic performance using software. This study reviews system safety assessment, development assurance level, airborne software, RTCA DO-178 process, and considerations & pitfalls in software development.

ICAO의 10차 항행 회의에서 미래 항공교통관제 시스템의 설계 및 전환에서 인적요소의 중요성이 인지되었고, 자동화가 인적요소 감소에 상당한 가능성을 제공한다는데 주목하였다. ICAO의 CNS/ATM 시스템 관련 인적요소 문제를 식별하기 위해 최근 및 진행 중인 연구를 검토하였는데, 미래 ATS 시스템의 자동화 및 신기술, 비행갑판/ATS 통합, 미래 ATS에서의 인간 기능, 관제사의 훈련/선정/면허, ATS 활동의 안전 감시 분야에서 인적요소의 적용이 미래 ICAO CNS/ATM 시스템의 안전 및 효과를 개선할 수 있음을 알게 되었다. 이 논문에서는 주로 CNS/ATM의 개념, 자동화와 그 문제점, 인간중심 자동화의 원칙 등을 살펴보고자 한다. The Tenth Air Navigation Conference of ICAO recognized the importance of Human Factors in the design and transition of future ATC systems. It also noted that automation was considered to offer great potential in reducing human error. ICAO reviewed recent and ongoing studies to identify Human Factors issues of relevance to ICAO CNS/ATM systems. The survey identified several areas in which application of Human Factors knowledge and experience would enhance future ICAO CNS/ATM systems safety and efficiency. In this report, ICAO CNS/ATM concept, automation of CNS/ATM system and concerns, principles of human-centred automation are presented.

동료검토는 동료들이 소프트웨어 개발 과정에서 산출물을 검토하는 작업 또는 프로젝트 수행 과정에서 각 진행 단계별로 발생하는 산출물 또는 제품에 대해서 동료들이 상호 교차 검토하는 활동으로, 사전 결함 발견 및 조치로 전체 개발비용을 절감하고, 상호 성장을 통한 역량을 강화하며, 내부 인원들의 의사소통 기회를 제공한다. 이러한 효과로 인해 소프트웨어 개발에서 동료 검토의 중요성이 강조되고 있어, 본 논문에서는 이러한 동료검토에 대해 소개하고, 그 효용성, 품질도구와의 관계 등을 살펴보고자 한다. In a peer review, someone other than the author of a work product examines that product to find defects and identify improvement opportunities and several widely used processimprovement frameworks identify peer reviews as a key practice an organization must master to improve its software engineering capability. The goal of reviews is not only to catch errors and gather improvement suggestions, but also to help authors create better work products in the future. In this paper, overview of peer review, justification, and relationship with quality tools are presented.

The paper presents the comprehensive studies of ISTQB(International Software Testing Qualification Board) for the reliable software development system in term of various aspects. It is critical to understand how the software testing is achieved is to efficiently manage the development process, to reduce the development cost, and to ultimately ensure the safety of the entire software system. This study may provide an enriched understanding about the rationale and true intent the behind software development model and testing design methods of ISTQB on software developer, test analysts, test engineers. In addition, this paper may serve as a useful supplementary material for the avionic engineers to establish the new regulations in avionic industries.
